This is buggier than New Vegas...

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 6:02 am

I've encountered so many disgusting and immersion breaking bugs and glitches that I'm half tempted to trade it in.

I've had a lot of patience with bethesda games, but they've pushed their luck too far. They can't continue being a bunch of apes when it comes to coding. There should be some kind of customer protection service that stops bugs like this all the time. Its unacceptable.
Yes there are some bugs, but one little problem with your title...........BETHESDA didn't make New Vegas, so that is a fail on your part. Morrowind and Oblivion both had some bugs and they were fixed as well as they could be. BGS actually tries to make fixes, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Feel lucky it isn't bioware, blizzard, or worse Atari. because then nothing would ever get fixed. have some faith instead of complaining with the rest of the complainers............ :)

Ok, I'm going to list all bugs and glitches I've encountered so far, in my 5 hours playing time today.

Possibly spoilerific, but I'll keep it as spoiler friendly as possible...

Jarl of whiterun is "busy", so I can't talk to him. Ever. Waiting/revisiting doesn't do anything. Main quest is completely impossible now.

Companions guild master is "busy", can't join the companions

Golden claw quest: can't loot the golden claw off the guy after you cut him out of the webs. His body just isn't lootable. Reloading does not work

Stuck in various geometry.

NPCs don't speak or make any noise.

There's a whole bunch more minor stuff, but I've already restarted the game.

Now I can join the companions quests, and I've got to "proving Honour quest", and now theres a scripting bug where the quest just won't progress.

This is so bad. I don;t know if I'm super unlucky, but it really svcks.
Wow.....ur incredibly unlucky.....i think ur one ina million dude.....
Lol only thing i can say is...uhh get a new copy of the game?
Or get a new computer? Lol ur just havin serious bad luck

Regarding your major issues: I have not a problem with them. Now, how could that be, if there is a general problem with the scripts of these quests/situations? I really don't know. Oh wait, there is one I would think about: I use a legit, unmodded, unaltered copy of the game...

Regarding getting stucked: Level 10, 15 hours of gameplay, being an explorer, running through the wilderness half the time: Not getting stucked.

The only bug I've had was a loading screen freeze after what.... 20 + hours of gameplay. There was the giant bouncing me into the sky but I was dead already so I didn't care. You control your expierience. If you search for negatives you WILL find negatives. If you search for positives you will have a great time playing the game. That is the only thing that seperates the two opinions. Our own minds. Do you want a crappy game or the best rpg ever? I feel like its the best rpg ever.

Please report bugs you find to Bethesda. I believe they are serious about patching this masterpiece

I read somewere, that they left the "giant bouncing you 400 feet" in the game as a easter egg
