I wonder how they're going to end this; is there going to be some kind of plot development or farewell speech at the end?

Possibly something similar to Tom's farewell speech:

"Well, this is the end, beautiful friends. After more than 11 years, this is Toonami's final broadcast. It's been a lot of fun, and we'd like to thank each and every one of you who made this journey with us. Toonami wouldn't have been anything without you. Hopefully we've left you with some good memories. So, until we meet again, stay gold. Bang."

I don't think I'm gonna be able to pull an all nighter, so I'm hoping they don't end it until tonight (meaning Sunday night). April fools just started, after all.

In a perfect world they'd begin airing Toonami again (and during the daytime) with a mix of classics and new licensed anime. I understand the impact that fansubbing has had on the industry, but I just can't believe shows like Dragon Ball, Gundam, YuYu Hakusho, Outlaw Star, etc. wouldn't be able to captivate kids these days like it did most of us.

I usually have my TV on Cartoon Network around the time kids are usually getting out of school and there's just nothing there. Heck, the last 30 minutes of school used to be torture, and catching Toonami meant running non-stop all the way home.

Haha, I did the same thing. I would always bust through the door, turn on the TV and think "Oh crap, did I miss anything?"

Heheh, this is one of the joys of being homeschooled. Five minutes before I'd just be like "Oh look, it's that time already? Better slowly and casually stroll over to the TV in no rush."

Just for tonight, presumably.

Edit: Wait, the way he phrased that Bleach trailer makes it sound like this is a weekly thing. He said "Next Satuday night - only on Toonami."

April Fools gag, or did we just hit the jackpot?

Wait a minute. At the end of the Bleach bumper...

"...Next Saturday. Only Toonami..."

Wat.

I swear to god, if advlt Swim is trolling us, I will quite them forever. I have waited too long for this glorious moment, and I will not be denied.

If this is true, I'm requesting the topic name to be changed. "This year is now perfect."

I don't know what's happening. I don't know why. Maybe it's just a very mean April Fools joke. But right now, on Cartoon Network, instead of the traditional advlt Swim programming - Toonami. Freakin' Toonami. Seriously. DBZ is on now.
Outlaw Star on the west coast is on right now. Sorry, toonamiaftermath, but today, the April First Toonami rules.

This makes me incredibly happy.

Dunno. I honestly expected some closing comments. We'll find out in the next week.

I remember Toonami---because of that show I now:
1: Love Morrowind and the TES games. (Toonami did a short preview of the game---it's where I learn about it).
2: Fell in love with Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C (I think they showed it first).
3: Watched every episode of Dragonball Z.

You all will be pleased to know that rumors are going about of Toonami returning sometime between 2013-2014. Gurren Lagann is one of many rumored shows that will be coming along with it.

If this is true... shoot, there is hope for my children.

That being said, if tonight hints to an early return... shoot... I might cry tears of joy.

Last night I found the guy who does T.O.M.'s voice's Facebook page, and he said that last night was a one time thing, but he's encouraging his fans to go to http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/feedback/ and tell CN if they want to see Toonami come back permanently.

Still can't believe they did a review of ME3 bringing Steve Blum in to do that. For me the cherry on top was watching Tenchi Muyo again along with Outlaw Star. CN is truly trolling us since they know we the fans who grew up with it miss it. Thought April Fools day was supposed to be non hurtful jokes *sniff*. :sadvaultboy:
