This game is filth.

I have to admit, the learning curve for this game is alot higher then most FPS. The lag is annoying, but it will get fixed. It's only been out a day. :)

LMAO. Saw a guy running so I entered armor mode and shot him. Killed him in half-a-clip (cause that's how much it takes in this lag-filled POS), his buddy then shoots me with a SINGLE burst of SCAR fire and kills me. I had full energy and was in armor mode. 3-5 shots and I die, after putting half-a-clip into an unarmored foe.

Pathetic. Simply ****. EA and Crytek should be absolutely embarrassed to ship this.

Absolutely, one of the most pathetic online multiplayer games I have ever played.

No other game has these problems.

While I'm sure there are lag problems (like there were in the beta/demo), you do yourself no favours coming out with bullsh*t like the quote above. If you honestly believe that, then you have no place commenting on the quality of any online multiplayer games.

I've have played Halo extensively and lag exists. It's not always as immediately noticeable as other games due to the way the game plays.. but it is there. It is also the quintessential 'I unloaded a clip into his back and he's not dead' game. (Oh and Armour Abilities ruined Halo Reach mp imo. Sprint should have been default and Armour Lock/Cloak should have been single use pickups like in Halo 3.)

COD, specifically Black Ops (as it's the most recent) has been plagued from day one with insane lag issues. If I were to play that right now, within 5 minutes I would be raging at the lag. The list of problems with that game are tremendous.

Finally, the most recent FPS release, Homefront. For a start a lot of people can't even get to the main menu. Those that can, often can't get into an online match as the servers are constantly down. Then if you are blessed enough to get into a match, it's usually laggy and the hit detection is off (not to mention the graphics are piss poor)... and there's a high chance you'll get dropped 3/4 of the way through a match.

I detest lag, but what I detest more are people in forums spouting bullsh*t and expecting everyone to jump up and take notice to what they have to say. The next time you have a point to make, try a sensible reasoned approach and people might take you seriously.

I am having the same issues online and I know how to play a game in online multiplayer arenas. Since this game is on a xbox 360, this is the problem!

What people are doing and you can to if you feel the need, is host the game as a peer connection. Get everyone going, then start playing the good OLE HALO CHEAT trick.

Unplug your connection for a second or two or have another system or your router throw in some packet loss automatically. Make sure you do this when someone is about to kill you! They unload a whole clip into your head, your about to die, then comes the disconnection or packet loss or scrwed up connection. You the cheater can disappear and reappear behind the person that almost got a kill on you and then proceed to kill them in one shot somehow or melee attack them.

This process is what I saw many times yesterday afternoon playing online connecting to whomever the game connected to for instant action. Of course after while I got pretty dam annoyed and cannot block or ignore the butthead host so I can connect to someone else.

this whole halo cheat idea from the good ole days still works with all modern multiplayer games on a gosh dam console.

On PC you can try this dam trick but it dont work! I bought the game for xbox 360 so my kids can play it to. Single player is fun except for the dam AI bugs. Oh well maybe crytek will fix the cheat issues or not. Best way to play mutiplayer is host with only friends who you know wont cheat and actually play multiplayer for what it is then it becomes fun!

Dude this is the second time you are posting the dumbest assumption I have ever seen....the Halo 2 lag trick comes back to Crysis....but completely stays away from Halo 3.....dude stop making excuses.....the game was released with issues.....there are host issues.....it is well known...that doesn't mean people are cheating. So stop being the annoying kid running around crying and making excuses for a game that has been out 1 day.

I think the main point the person was trying to prove, and no I'm not defending him, I agree the game is Awesome with everyone else, Some things can be improved but after-all, No one makes a Masterpiece the first time. It will take Week's, if not months for issues to be resolved. However, going back to the main point. The Energy bar is NOT the HEALTH meter or anything else, I had moments where the Energy Bar was complete and I was in armor mode, The kill came show me getting shot in the stomach, because when you get shot in the head, it slows down and show's the bullet smacking your dome. I believe Energy does play a part in the resistance of damage you can take before it effects your Health, and it depends on where you get shot at and by what. For example, Mk.60, I've taken down multiple people with this weapon while they were in armor mode in 4-5 shots, Why? thats what the weapon is FOR! Sniper rifle takes two shots, That's great, Gives the other time to doge the next incoming shot. So all in all the game is good, just has some draw-backs, problem is everyone too busy trying to compare the game to COD and Halo, that they expect the physics and dynamics to be the same, thats why the game is called CRYSIS! Not Hasis Or call of Cry, Dont like the FPS shooter, go back to the gamestop, turn it in , and continue your life with Halo Reach or COD:666 -- i mean whatever number they're at now in the series that spits out every year =x But in my personal opinion, I think an answer by the staff would be greatly appreciated as to why defines Health in the game.

*rolls eyes*

I am using the armor ability. So are they. We both empty bullets into each other, I die in three shots with armor on.

Bad game is bad.

I guess your connection just svcks then because I have experienced absolutely no lag or any other problems.

hehehe, I assume we're talking about lag switching here?! Yea, definitely not a Halo 2 trick. It's plagued any game you can connect to the internet. Some PC servers will kick you for it. If we were only so lucky on XBL :(

Yea this kid has no idea what he is talking about.

XBL has not seen the stand-by glitch since the 180.....it has not been an issue with the 360. And to just blow off this assumption on the first day this game is released is pretty comical, when everyone is complaining about lag/host issues. When the community is complaining.....about lag or host......I can assure you that people aren't cheating or stand-by glitching.....the game was just release and can't handle the traffic....typical EA release...hopefully they patch it and listen to the community...if not, the game dies out. Simple.

Don't come on the community forums complaining that people are stand by glitching.....that is just comical.

Hello i have made many posts (which many people did not like ask f-1) but this is the most ridiculous piece of **** i have ever SEEN! First of all you are probably some sad cod player who exspects people to be killed in like 2 shots (no offence). Second of all you probably are such a noob you don't know that LT!!!!! aims down the sight on crysis. Third of all crysis 2 has just come out and 100 of thousands of people are going to playing so this will cause a lot of lag but they will probably strengthen the engine. Finally you shouldn't be so harsh on EA and CRYTEK because they have made bloody damn good game compatible for people who play the two main biggest shooters halo and cod so stop dissing CRYTEK and EA and enjoy the game and get used to the lag you spoilt ****. Only the best is good enough for isn't it? Well learn to except that not everything is perfect so appreciate the almost perfect things you dumb retard enjoy the game or don't play. SO STOP **** COMPLAINING YOU **** BLUE WAFFLE!!!!

Absolutely, one of the most pathetic online multiplayer games I have ever played.

Please explain to me how after POURING bullets into an enemy (EVERY SINGLE ONE accompanied by a hash-mark to denote a successful hit) that enemy can simply turn around and shoot me with three shots for the kill. WITH THE SAME WEAPON I USED.

The fact that in over 50 games, I have yet to get a connection over 2 bars has something to do with it. No other game has these problems.

Crytek. Electronic Arts. You are a joke. Your stock is falling for a reason. You make **** games.

HAHHAHAHAHAHAH

No, you're a joke. You're not just going to walk into a game you don't understand and be some CAL I pro player.

Aim for the head. It helps. Spraying in their direction won't usually hit them, oh and actually aim... -_-

The OP's issue is probably the same issue many have with p2p hosted games. He sees his opponent, fires, most of the shots don't register, and then he quickly dies to a few bullets fired by his opponent whom had the latency advantage. This plagues the COD series as well. It's magnified on a game like this because it's so fast paced.

I know dedicated servers won't cure this because some players will be closer to the particular server so they'll have a lower ping. However, from my experience there's just a lot less of those "WTF I emptied a whole clip in him" moments when playing Battlefield or even Homefront.

Telling people to get better at the game and stop camping doesn't make sense IMO. I think this issue promotes camping. If someone is having an issue with latency they are more likely going to slow down the pace of the game and focus more on waiting for opponents to run by them and shoot them from behind etc.

Just my thoughts.

The inconsistancies within the multiplayer are annoying, but frankly, being an EA published game, I've never had much faith in the first week of any of their online multiplayer.

Bad Company 2, Medal of Honor, hell, ever Dead Space 2's multiplayer were plagued with problems the first week. They have yet to successfully launch a smooth multiplayer experience, though the same could be said for the Call of Duty series. And don't get me started on the laughing stock of the month that is Homefront.

For me, the single player campaign was worth the price of admission. Lengthy story, a fresh take on the urban enviornment, a choice of being able to rush in and shoot every bastard you can, or being more methodical. I'd far from call the game filth in that respect. The multiplayer has great potential if/when the connectivity issues are ironed out. I can completely understand the orignal poster's frustration with getting killed quite a bit, but I don't understand the immediate and constant barrage of "You svck, get better." attacks from other people. Seems a bit rude, but that's a classic forums for you I suppose.

I'm willing to wait for things to be patched, because when Crysis 2 is firing correctly on all cylinders, it really is a good time. The cloaking I knew from the first beta would be exploited to its fullest. Couple the extreme cowardice of a majority of players with sketchy at best connections, and well.....still ends up playing like pretty much every FPS I've frequented.

I suppose my only real complaint, is as per usual with Xbox Live, there's no communication from anyone, even on Crash Site games. Its very difficult to have to lone wolf it.
