Tonight on Skyrim's Mystery's...

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 6:47 am

Our last episode had us trying to find The Woodcutter's Wife in the deep pine forests of Falkreath. tonight i bring you breaking news of a strange anomaly in the mountains around Markarth. while journeying forth looking for ancient artifacts of Nordic or of the Dwemer variety. Rayne the Archaeologist heard a strange rumbling in the surrounding area of Markarth. let's let Rayne tell you what happened.

Rayne. i was looking for artifacts to add to my collection in the areas around Markarth, when all of a sudden the earth started to shake and i heard a giant rumbling noise. i drew my claws fearing what it could be. i waited and nothing happened. the rumbling stopped and there was no clue as to what caused it.

can YOU solve this Mystery?

Could it have been a dragon? Or was the sound different?

It wasn't that kind of earthquake. The camera shook violently not just to the right then down and back into position. it was back and forth really quickly and not just for a second. and there was a giant rumbling sound like a rockslide but louder! Not to mention there aren't any giant camps in or around Markarth. and none wandering the roads. we may not have facts but we have man power! let's get out there and solve this mystery!

I'll go with the earthquake theory.

I had my headphones turned up the other day, and was wandering around up in the glaciers in the north, in a chasm, and I heard the ice cracking and groaning...I made legs most ricky tick...very eery feeling.

Well that explains what happened to me near Markarth, near the Orcs stronghold there, was expecting a dragon or some form of beasty, but nothing, not even a butterfly. (Which I only just found out I can chop up with my swords haha. Funny discovery, happened while fighting a giant, I saw it happen and was like, wow never did I know that, I tried arrowing them but I couldn't kill it, bad aim? Anyway, you can cut butterflys up, pretty sinister stuff.

Seems you are not alone in this. I've recently bought a new mouse, my last one was wireless, this one is wired. I've noticed a few times the screen shake for no (apparent) reason. At first I thought it was the mouse cord catching on things since it's quite new and inflexable. Just last night however, I had the screen shake, a rumbling sound, but my mouse cord was free of all obstructions, I had a firm grip on it and I wasn't drunk (I was on the other occasions).

Perhaps these are the hints of a volcanic erruption? Perhaps a planed future DLC? Perhaps instead of going to Morrowind like some are hoping for, Morrowind is coming to us?

Landslide. The Reach looks like a place that'd be prone to it.
