Too few Classes too few differences

You can be whatever you want to be. This is ELDER SCROLLS. That's the most amazing part. No restrictions.

My fist char will be a Nord warrior, and I can tell you I won't have any magic ability if I don't want to.

You have the pieces, join them as you want to.

AMAZING.

Who says it has to do with just casting spells?

Maybe there is tons of amazing synergy you can find with a certain class that works just fine when you are using stamina consuming abilities.

Again, narrow-minded view that only using magicka means that it's always tied together with some sort of casting.

Did you not watch the PvE video just released? They talked about the famous Bowplar, and the reason why people like the Bowplar is because of the Javelin Strike (?) in the Templar tree synergized with the Scatter Shot from the Bow tree. The two combine with letting you just knock down your foe till they die. So, there you go there is a casting spell synergizing with a stamina consuming spell. Nothing to do with casters or [censored] like that.

Then you didn't understand what this thread is about wich is not about how the class they made combine with each other but about more classes and pure fighter classes.

Sorry this is rude and unnecessary and actually the very begin of a flame .

To call somenelse opinions unnecessary and pointless is quite offensive , you can disagree but not insult !

So many combinations so little understanding, You can pretty much play however you want but yes most skills use magicka.. this does not make you a mage though

Not technically, you see your class has a very wide range of skill/spells you can acquire throughout the game as you gain skill points.

However EVERY class can also spend these points into "weapon" specific skills which are available to ALL classes, but since you can only slot 5 abilities with the current equipped weapon, the abilities you choose to use at a particular time whether class/weapon( or both ) skills will hopefully be structured to your playstyle and/or depending on the situation.

Well, he is right, this thread is pretty pointless. The fact that you say there is no "non-magicka" class means you haven't been paying attention to this game. Go pick any class you want in this game, go pick up any weapon in the game, use only the skills found in there, or in the Fighters Guild. GG you just made yourself a "non-magicka" class.

You can call it a battlemage/cleric/ranger/paladin/what not... But you sure do not call it a thief or a warrior.

That's YOUR opinion. I can easily call myself a Warrior even if I use a tiny bit of magic.

Hell, I play "thief" characters in pretty much every single TES game, and I use a lot of Illusion spells to make my thievery that much easier. Am I an less of a Thief? I guess I am by your definition, but good thing YOUR definition isn't the universal definition.

why? because it uses the blue resource? explain how using that 1 resource = not a warrior? i have been making warriors for over 20 years in games and until recently in some games every last one of them used a blue resource. this includes all TES games

I apologize if I offended you.

Have you ever considered that perhaps playing the class as you so self-righteously suggested is not very efficient?

Or maybe everyone has a different play style, if you want to play a juggernaut who wields all plate and a giant impaler and solely depends on ONE stamina bar, by all means satisfy your ego. But if I find more utility out of the dragon knight with a destro staff & some fire DoT damage spells and crowd control, who are you to say how I assign my character his/her role?

And to answer your OP, you will not be disappointed if you choose to play a "pure warrior".

Leperchans, Apoca,

You are right, you have all rights to call your magic using thief as a thief, or magic using warrior as a warrior.. I would not do that, but you sure are allowed.

What you're not understanding that others are trying to tell you is that the class you pick does not at all define what you can or can't do in this game. If you want to build a pure fighter melee class you can. Armor and weapons in this game have their own skill lines just like class skill lines. So you could totally ignore the class lines or just take the class for flavor abilities as you build your pure melee class.

Seriously there are so many choices in this game. In ESO unlike some past games, you class doesn't define you, how you build it does.

I would say there are 4 classes more than we need in an Elder Scrolls game, however I do understand designers decisions behind it

Fact that OP is pointing out how many classes Morrowind had clearly shows he didnt get the full picture of progression system in the game

again you are wtisting what I wrote or not paying attention to it .

Where did I say is not efficent ?

I said its not varied and that I like a pure fighter class without need for magic stuff.

Maybe you should play TES games more, EVERY class (including fighters) could learn magic, and in Oblivion and Skyrim you started with 2 magic spells no matter what. By your logic, there has never been a pure warrior class in TES.

granted though, for those saying you do not have to use magic, you might be able to, but it might not be a viable option in anyway and to do group content, PVP, and possibly even endgame content in general you might HAVE to use some class skills.

You're complaining that the developers on the sample video are playing classes YOU deem "pure fighters" with staves & "mage" playstyle.

Which is all redundant hence the fact your class only enhances certain armor/weapon types but does NOT restrict it, so what exactly are you saying?

That all dragon knights NEED to wear a two hander? or all Sorcerers NEED to wear a destro staff? Im utterly confused.
