TotalBiscuit gives his opinion on TES:O!

His opinion on it is pretty much same as mine, but better worded, so I decided to share it.
In a way, you can see this is also my opinion of TES:O also.

-Edit:
My two wishes for TES:O for now:
1 - Change art design as much as possible to make it look like original TES games (traditional and more realistic medieval look).
2 - Change combat to be more Tera-like (action oriented as much as possible).

I was also planning on adding a third wish about having no monthly fee, but if game ends up being awesome (two wishes above are one of conditions), I won't have problem with paying ~€10 a month for it.

Saw it earlier today, he brings up good points as usual. He's got a ton of MMO experience too so he knows what he's talking about. Worth a watch.

You should watch his Lone Survivor video.

Very nice! Pretty much covers every concern voiced here. Great explanation for stubborn people who claim you can do everything without real-time combat.

I don't agree with everything he said, but yes, unlike Zenimax, he seems to get it.

Totally agree with him, hot key MMOs are over...sad to see that TES O is already out dated.

Pretty much what everyone else has been saying. Lots of reasons to be concerned. We're all on the same page.

I found it interesting that he doesn't like the public quests; I can understand why, but I was under the impression public quests/dungeons would be more like Warhammer: Age of Reckoning. One in, all in.

Oh look... Another nobody asserting that giving ones opinion and thoughts = lecturing professionals.

Anywho, he brings up many good points, and is able to give coherent thoughts on both pros and cons. A rarity these days, for sure....

TotalBiscuit is by no means a "nobody", stop living under a rock. And take "the Wise" out of your name; anybody who is truly wise isn't arrogant enough to brand himself as such, and definitely wouldn't just slap an ad hominem attack on somebody else's (much more well thought out) argument.

He operates one of the most popular gaming-related YouTube channels, and goes by either Cynical Brit, TotalHalibut, or TotalBiscuit.

I'm happy to see that there are people with more credentials than I have being honest and voicing their concerns about the game.

Agree Spot on with his complaints. He went to the root of the problem rather than making wild claims like many do here.

If you have a look around his channel you can see what kind of videos he does. He does first impressions videos, he insists that they are not reviews and he will not score them as he considers ratings to be a flawed system. The mailbox series is him answering questions sent in by viewers. He occasionally has a special series or feature, so things like big updates for Tribes Ascend, footage from gaming events and overviews of big games like Guild Wars.
He's a pretty entertaining guy (at least in my opinion, your mileage may vary), he also has very high standards and will refuse to release a video if it isn't to his liking. Overall I have a lot of respect for him.

Couldn't care less about this guys opinion. He's entitled to it though. Good to see Zeni doesn't agree with him.

Thats fair enough I suppose. If you really like the style of MMO Zenimax Online is going for then you have many reasons to be happy. TB just sums up why not everybody wants that style of MMO.

Well known and respected Youtube personality/gamer. Very funny when he attempts to be(This was a more serious video), but also very intelligent and well learned.

He raises some good points. Though I wish he hadn't have brought up Tera - the story and characters were just painful, but the combat was awesome. It hurts a little every time I think about what could have been...

That's a bit on the nose. Just because someone doesn't know someone on YouTube, it in no way implies that they live under a rock.

stopped listening a little way in. If i want to hear more about people complaining about the mmo i'll just keep reading more threads here. I personally like the features spoiled about the game. I like 3rd person hotkey MMO's. half the draw of getting better gear is getting to see yourself strut around in it anyway. anyways, much as my opinion doesn't matter to the haters, the haters opinions don't matter to me.

Pretty much agree with TB in this instance. With the coming of Guild Wars and TERA, hotkey based mmo's are on the way out. Not to say that TESO can't be a great game because it's hotkey-based, but it will be based on an ancient gameplay style.

Only thing I disagree with is the comment on ES combat systems. Morrowind's system may have "svcked" to modern gamers, but it was based on old-school dice rolls. And frankly, Skyrim had a pretty good combat system for a first-person fantasy RPG as far as I'm concerned :)

As more and more gets revealed, I think people will more and more come around to the ideas that ZOS has implemented.

I hope it ends up that the light/heavy attack from your weapon can be used without having a target selected.
