Uhh, way too easy? or just the beginning? : V

Hello... I just started the game, at level 3 right now. I have the difficulty cranked to expert. cleared through 2 dungeons and wandered a bit and so far it is absurdly easy... I would expect at least some challenge even early on with the expert difficulty setting. enemies do almost no damage to me and any damage I take my character regenerates incredibly quickly...making me not care about taking damage or caring to avoid it... Is this just like this early on?

You're a better player than I am. I'm played on Adept and I've died a number of times, mostly by dungeon traps.

I do think leveling's a bit speedy, though.

1) are you using lots of destruction magic by any chance? i found destruction magic quite easy
and 2. you mave have jsut enteetred low level dungeons, iv come across giants, and scay mages who have killed me pretty easy

lol....there is BIG BIG BIG diffrance between "expert" to "master" and its not good there is between them.
expert=(for me) normal-easy
master=HARD!!!!!

we need something between. i really understand u....
but still i died many times in game xD

I died 2 times from the spider in bleak falls barrow... on normal.. and I was just using a bad mace and a shield, using hp pots and healing spells, still was hard, so nah

Yeah most of the beginning enemies are easy so you feel good. My first frost troll was a pain. Although I did kill my first giant at level 10 though.

I found it easy at the start to.

Level 12 or so currently and absolutely terrified of entering dungeons because it's likely I'll get my ass kicked. Playing on 50% difficulty btw, I keep forgetting those names.

In fact I'm inside a dungeon for the main quest now but needed a break or else I'd die of a heart attack. So relaxing on forums a bit.

I made an archer/thief type character and she is absolutely useless. I can just about kill an ice wolf but ice trolls? not a chance. barely dent them and they kill me in 2-3 hits.

I haven't adjusted the difficulty so it's at.. whatever the default is.

So no it's not too easy, the first dungeon was easy, but after that.. maybe my character is just crappy.

Make a terrible archer character and have fun shooting needles into your foes.

I'm playing an archer right now and with the sneak crit bonus I just 1-shot bandits and creatures. Without the bonus it takes 2-3 shots... so I don't know what you're talking about. I'm level 7 now and have cleared about 5 or 6 dungeons around the starting area. That's on the default difficulty, gonna change it to Master and see what it's like.

I think it's the regen that makes it easy. the auto health regen seems over powered.

yeah go fight an ice troll, the first one i met basically hit me twice and i was dead, and being a mele warrior player it was hard not to get hit i just had to use fire & healing magic still took like 10 attempts.

Easy? Mweh.. I'm playing on normal (Adept or something?) difficulty and I died quite a few times today. I'm using dual wield and simply trying to cut through enemies, but sometimes I find that enemies do not agree with me. Per example when I was trying to stab a giant at L6 and was thrown 100 feet into the sky.. or when I unfortunately met an ice troll on my travels. (How do you kill those things? They regenerate like crazy and my weapons take about 2-3 % of his HP away)

As whole I find the game quite challenging, even on normal diff - I'm looking forward to replaying this on hard or very hard.

I was pretty sure Todd said you could talk to a giant and it wouldn't attack unless provoked. I went up to one and he one hit ko'd me. But that looked scripted and I found ones who didn't attack me on sight but I still couldn't talk to them.

Well it seems like everyone agrees that the game is too easy. The ones that say it's not always refer to enemies that are many levels higher than themselves and shouldn't be attempted until you have better skills and equipment anyway.

I've died a tonne, kept getting killed by this [censored] with a massive two handed sword, finally realised I'd have to paralyse the annoying bugger in the end. Oh and giants.

No no, it's not too easy. Some boss fights are actually quite annoying. I was fighting this necromancer to cleanse some crypt, and the lad summoned about 3-4 of those Draugr at once. They kept coming aswell, I did have one companion but it was a pretty hard fight nevertheless, had to drink quite some potions before I got him down.

If you take your time normal difficulty is, ofcourse, quite doable - try playing on expert or master if you think this isn't challenging enough.
