I nominate Terpy as the new admin. Everything I've seen him build has been on the creative side. But I haven't played in a while so. :P

and then the universe imploded on itself to protect us from the terror of Terpy becoming an Admin.

I don't want to be an admin. But people can vouch for the sheer amount of immaculate awesomeness I created when I was in charge.

I think Skooma would make a good mod-hunter/admin, he's probably the most enthusiastic of modders among us. There always seems to be one mod he really wants.

And Terpy I feel obligated to remind you that Frostfall (I assume you mean FF, I can think of no other time you had any authority) was a collaborative effort, so don't let that head get too large or it won't fit through the door.

Heh, if Skooma is willing to become an admin, I don't see why not.

True but under my guidance nonetheless.

I'm willing to give it go at learning them.

Also I've done a quick search for bukkit plugins. I've found a few interesting ones.

Of those, "Catacombs" makes pretty interesting structures, and is quite nicely configurable. I didn't test it out as much as I'd like to on account of having a life though. ;) From what I saw though, both in-game and as the feature description, it is very good to have if you like old-style dungeon crawls.

It does need someone - basically, a GM - to go around and populate the world with those though. I wouldn't trust regular players with just putting down one anywhere they like.

Thankfully i'm unemployed and therefore could spend hours making the things.

Seeing that Catacombs mod makes me want to play Dungeons of Dredmor. If the http://www.dredmorwiki.com/wiki/Skills were incorporated into Minecraft I'd go crazy.

No ETA on the server, working out some severe errors at the moment.

As far as an admin, I'd like to see someone that has a genuinely good time browsing plugins, editing config files and creating in game content that reflects what an RPG, like The Elder Scrolls, would have. As long as you are willing to learn, there isn't much to it. I'd setup a server for you to learn on, toy with and test things out, and when we are confident in your abilities, give you more control over production server files. I'd like to think our end goal as a community would be to have a very active player base with themes that align towards games currently being produced by Bethesda. TESCraft and FalloutCraft servers, along with your standard minecraft survival and creative servers is the dream. I'm putting in a great deal of time to learn software development, which obviously takes away from the time I can spend doing server admin stuff, and that is why I'm looking to get some creative help.

I don't have any issues with Skoomaholic being an admin, but we'll let some more people volunteer so I can gauge interest.

i don't really think my work schedule would allow me to make a good admin, but its something i'd still like to learn so if its not too much too ask i would like to get the training along side whoever gets picked to be a new admin.

Yeah you have reignited my plugin love. I'm currently looking at some hardcoe plugins for a separate world idea Kaelin gave me.

As much as I'd love to be a mod, between studying my navy booklet and using my freetime for forum/Minecraft for leisure, I really can't dedicate any time to being a GM aside from general moderator duties (IE server patrol and so on)

I'd be willing to learn the ropes of being an admin or mod, I already know some basic commands besides that it's going to be an uphill climb :P

I've been fighting for control of the computer lately but apparently my brothers artwork research takes priority so I'll hopefully be back on soon.

1.2 can now read textures from a folder. This, and the texture refresh hotkeys, would be invaluable to texture pack makers since they can test them in real-time.

We've been playing for over a year and a half now. Thats how long our server has been up. You won't regret it. We've had loads of fun and its only getting better, especially with all the cool stuff we'll be adding over the next few months.

herocraft seems pretty epic, however still have not read or heard if they have drop perks like mcmmo does.

also i suppose that i should not bother any longer trying to get my excavation skill up to 1000 for those diamonds.

Question:

A. Why did we drop McMMO?
B. What is this new mod we're running? Because it's pissing me off that I can't even use my wooden tools....

A. mcMMO was a minecraft leveling plugin, that gave minecraft related perks. I'm toying with a more traditional RPG, with classes, spells, skills, ect.
B. Heroes, which allows for quite a bit of configuration. Right now the server is setup in a very in development state.
