the vanilla /mobgreifing command will work, but I think the server must have that set before anything major is done with it. I must admit, Bukkit has spoiled us all.

Ugly, all over the place, meh-level loot. I'd say we could do away with battletowers. Seems like nobody was even using the Ropes+ mod, and the Ruins has kinda grown on me. Might want to whittle away at what structures generate. Some of them to have... abnormal compositions.

One thing to note is that more mods are updating to 1.5.1, so we might have to start a new map even after setting stuff up in 1.4.7.
I agree that Battletowers are a blight on the land and should be removed. Ruins are really nice and the ropes+ items are fairly useful but not essential.

Touch Ropes+ and lose a limb Lego. Nothing takes away my precious rope arrows.

I agree that Battletowers weren't good looking but it made us go on adventures and reward us in the process. If we remove it we should try and find a suitable replacement.

Ropes wasn't being called into question particularly but battle towers is a bit unnecessary. My main concern still lies with things like creeper boom and zombs.

I've been testing out Dimensional Doors lately. Its near-infinite depth dungeons make for good exploring, and the traps are clever with good loot scattered throughout, the Limbo mechanic was recently fixed, but NEI doesn't like going through the doors and I fear for the VPS. Hundreds of 3x3 chunk pocket dims over time and the rapid switching through them might make the VPS choke to death unless we can somehow regulate who can craft the Iron dimensional doors.

Can you limit recipes to admin only? Or we could set up some in the spawn or wherever we end up living communally and then block the recipe?

We've adapted to creepers by now surely. My opinion on Zombies is moot namely because I think they're too easy.

Nope, got lag creepered earlier lost my squeezer. It's okay if my connection to the server is fine but even a small amount of lag makes it difficult.

Make sure you are looking at the correct IP. Of course, if you are looking at the right place, and it isn't working, let me know.

No, it's just not showing anybody online or any changes since the server switch. Is the dynmap running on the same server as the MC map?

Dynmap moved with the server, so you need to use the details in that post. You might have been using just www.bgsfcraft.com:8123 or 74.122.192.183:8123 but both of those will no longer show players or new exploration.

Either it's April Fools, or Applied Energistics is dead. Latest version guts everything.
April Fools. You should know by now I don't take jokes lightly...

Can you limit recipes to admin only? Or we could set up some in the spawn or wherever we end up living communally and then block the recipe?
Should be possible with Forge Essentials, but there is a config option to disable each crafting recipe.
Spoiler
# Configuration file##################### block####################block {	I:"Chaos Door"=1978	I:"Dimensional Door"=1970	I:"Dimensional Door Link"=1972	I:"Fabric of Reality"=1973	I:Rift=1977	I:"Transdimensional Trapdoor"=1971	I:"Warp Door"=1975	I:"Warp Door Link"=1976	I:transientDoorID=1979}##################### boolean####################boolean {	B:"EXPLOSIONS!!???!!!?!?!!"=false	B:"Should rifts generate natrually in the world? "=true	B:"Toggles limbo"=true	B:"Toggles the door render effect"=true	B:"toggles whether rifts eat blocks around them or not"=false	B:"true to cause player to respawn in Limbo"=false	B:"true to enable iron dim door crafting"=true	B:"true to enable rift blade crafting"=true	B:"true to enable rift remover crafting"=true	B:"true to enable rift signature crafting"=true	B:"true to enable trap door crafting"=true	B:"true to enable unstable door crafting"=true	B:"true to enable wooden door crafting"=true}##################### int####################int {	I:"Block ID for Limbo- must be below 256"=231	I:"Block ID for blockDimWallPermID- must be below 256"=230	I:"Chance that a block will not be TNT. must be greater than 1. Explosions!?!?? must be set to true, and you figure out what it does. "=100	I:"How many times a rift can spread- 0 prevents rifts from spreading at all. I dont recommend putting it highter than 5, because its rather exponential. "=0	I:"Limbo Dimension ID"=-23	I:"Limbo Provider ID"=13	I:ProviderID=12	I:"The farthest possible distance that limbo can send you upon return to the overworld."=1000}##################### item####################item {	I:"Chaos Door"=5673	I:"Dimensional Door Item"=5674	I:"Rift Blade"=5676	I:"Rift Remover"=5671	I:"Rift Signature Item"=5675	I:"Stable Fabric"=5672	I:"Warp Door Item"=5677}
This is my current config from my tests to keep the damage to a minimum. Defaults make rifts multiply, spread, eat the terrain, spew endermen, and de-Limbo players back to the overworld in upwards of 100,000 blocks away from 0, 0. Might want to disable Unstable doors and Rift blades to prevent any Terpy-fueled hijinks, and the naturally generating dungeon rifts if we want to keep DimSpam to a minimum (but lose the Adventure! aspect of the mod).

Of course, all this is only relevant if we consider adding this as a more utilitarian substitute for Battletowers. I see the NEI issue is still unresolved...

The timeline has accelerated...
http://mojang.com/2013/04/its-finally-coming-minecraft-2-0/
What changed?

Whilst we aren’t nearly finished with the 2.0 update, we do have a partial changelog of what we’ve done so far. There’s much more to come, this is only the beginning!
Gameplay
  • Added new Super Hostile game mode, for a much more challenging Survival experience.
  • Difficulty setting is now per-world and may never be changed once set.
  • Added new graphics setting “Ultra Realistic” with new patent-pending experimental 4D-rendering.
  • Added new chase-style 3D camera perspective.
Animals
  • Added new realistic food/hunger system to animals.
  • Overfeeding animals may have a negative effect on gameplay.
  • Added a new “Horse” animal, with two different breeds to choose from.
  • Each animal now has a gender and personality, introducing new farming mechanics.
  • Added a new rare breed of chicken known as a “Diamond Chicken”.
    • May lay diamonds or lapis instead of laying eggs.
    • May also blow up from too much pressure. Handle with care.
  • Added new friendly Pink Wither, which is the complete opposite of a wither.
    • Shoots out Love, which heals the nearby land and causes things to grow faster.
    • Known bug: Having both a Pink Wither and a Wither in your world at the same time may cause up to a 200% increase in framerate. Will be fixed for launch.
  • All animals may be fed Golden Apples to unleash their hidden magical properties (see new Magic section).
  • Chickens are now classified as a Monster and are no longer a friendly Animal.
Monsters
  • Chickens do not appreciate being looked at and may get upset.
  • Attacking a lone chicken may summon additional chickens to its defense.
  • Zombie Pigmen now spawn with battlesigns and no longer use swords.
  • Fixed a bug causing Skeletons to miss their targets on occasion.
  • Added new Redstone Bug monster (see Redstone section).
Blocks
  • Furnaces have a new “heat” mechanic.
  • Heat needs to be regulated in furnaces or they will blow up.
  • Torches now burn out after a period of time, but may be relit with flint and steel.
  • Added new TNT slab, known as an Etho Slab.
  • Renamed Droppers to floppers, by popular community demand.
    • Droppers were deemed too powerful and go against our original vision of the game.
    • Floppers now turn everything that passes through them into raw fish (see Fishing section).
  • Added six (6) new decoration blocks:
    • Mud.
    • Hay bales.
    • Lapis Lazuli.
    • Slime blocks.
  • Added new compressed storage blocks for commonly mined ores:
    • Coal Block.
    • Lapis Lazuli Block.
    • Redstone Block Block.
  • Lapis may now be used for new Lapis furniture.
  • Added dyed glass.
  • Walking over many blocks will gradually wear them down, creating many new block variants such as Cracked Stone and Muddy Grass.
Redstone
  • Removed all BUD behaviour, and added safeguards so that it may never come back.
  • Made redstone bugs spawn actual Redstone Bugs to assist with debugging.
  • Added new Quantum Entangled redstone, obtained by mixing 1 redstone, 1 diamond and 3 lapis.
    • One entangled redstone dust will connect to another pair elsewhere.
    • No current way of specifying the connection, may in fact connect to another player’s world.
  • Added new BUD blocks.
Magic
  • Added new Magic and Luck levels per player.
  • Finding a Rainbow after rain passes will be the primary way of obtaining Magic.
  • Finding a green-tinted horse will be the primary way of obtaining Luck.
  • Added new spell system, costing magic to perform a spell.
  • Spells may backfire, depending on Luck.
  • Examples of new spells include:
    • Turn any item into Fish.
    • Turn current biome into another biome (bug: currently only turns into ocean).
    • Ability to remove gravity from other creatures/players in the world.
Fishing
  • Overhauled fishing mechanics.
  • New special types of fish may be found in various different biomes.
  • Fish may become scared if too much noise is made nearby.
  • Added 28 new achievements for fishing.
  • Rare chance for extra items to drop when fishing, such as armor and maps.
  • Removed fishing.
  • Having a fish in your possession will drain your health by 1 each second, to help phase out fishing.
Combat
  • Removed crossbows.
  • To deter cheating players on PvP servers, the PvP system has been completely redesigned.
  • Players may no longer attack other players directly, but must recruit an army of Monsters and Animals.
  • Each monster/animal has different strengths, weaknesses and abilities whilst attacking or defending in PvP combat.
  • New turn-based combat system will help create epic battles that may last hours at a time.
World generation & terrain
  • Added many new mysterious adventuring locations.
  • Added 6 new biomes.
  • Reimplemented the Farlands.
    • Going near the farlands will forcefully enable 3d anaglyph.
    • Known bug: Teleporting towards the farlands may send you half way in the opposite direction.
  • Added dozens of new village building templates.
  • Flattened all terrain out slightly, with the exception of the hills biome to make it seem bigger by contrast.
  • Added floating sky islands.

I'm sort of sad that Mojang's Minecraft 'april fools' is more exciting than any of their other updates in the last year...
The real April fools joke is the API.

He.. he has a point...

Saw the 2.0 joke, if only it isn't. Some of the joke features can really come in handy, like exploding horses, easier way to get meats.
