Also i have a list of tweaks (not really fixes) i'd like to know if already included in (or conflicting with) USKP:

Back off Barbas
Better Quest Objectives
Clams Drop Pearls
Cowardly Horses
More Interactive Items
Move It Dammit
Necessary Map Markers
No NPC Greetings - Slightly Reduced
Skyrim Coin Replacer

Damn i need to learn using the CK to spot edits/conflicts, i miss TesEdit!

If some kind person can update the list I made earlier of lines for your userlist file in BOSS it would be appreciated - I'm on a slow internet link and having to download every mod just to find out the esp name took me several hours.

Kivan, is USKP compatible with Better Sorting?

I ask because Wrye Bash for SK doesn't still allow to import names, so maybe some edits can be overriden, and i prefer fixes to sorted names

I've been using Better Sorting with USKP since 1.02 without any problems...

I don't know if this has always been a problem with stacking in the game, but it certainly has always been in all versions of Skyrim, before and after USKP.

I have a necklace for smithing, a ring for smithing, and bracers for smithing. When I equip all of them, in the Active Effects it lists the rings power and necklace twice. Bracers don't even show up. I've tried different strengths of bracers and necklaces, and the necklace always shows up twice while bracers do not. Anyone else have a similar problem?

This is not related to the USKP. It is a problem with how Skyrim shows active effects of the same type and magnitude.

I know. It's a suggestion for the UKSP team!

I'm not sure if this is intentional, but when using the saveini console command with the USKP enabled, the Skyrim.ini or SkyrimPrefs.ini is not the one that is updated - a new file is created in the \data directory: "Unofficial Skyrim Patch.ini." This can result is some confusion if you are trying to expose all the possible variables of the current game version but expect to find them in your usual ini files. It can also make it difficult to get rid of that awful red tint if you don't know where to look.

That's a Skyrim bug, it names the ini file of whichever the last mod that was installed (or a random one).

Hard to say if it's a bug, to be honest.

It actually saves a full INI file to the Data folder named according to the mod that is last in the load order. Been that way since day one.

Kivan, any idea what causes https://unofficialskyrimpatch.16bugs.com/projects/7078/bugs/211817? I went into Yngol Barrow for the 1st time (3rd Character) and encountered the visual glitch described in the linked bug report. Dismissing my follower fixes the problem. Game Version is 1.5.26 and USKP is v1.03.

Kivan, would it be possible to remove the radiant quest bounty notices when you "hand in" the bounty for the reward gold. Always seemed odd to me that the bounty notices weren't removed, as you are stuck with a worthless weightless item that doesn't stack (similar to the notes found on Dark Brotherhood assasins). I suppose you could give them away to a merchant/stick them in a respawning container to remove them from the game. I've also noticed that bounty notices that were long ago completed sometimes bugout, and are filled with blanks, literally where the radiant quest information would be located. They seem like the kind of thing that should be a quest item and removed upon quest completion, though I don't know how desirable that would be.

Now that I think about it the DB notes are kind of odd too. They all say the exact same thing, with only variable being the players name, yet some stack and some don't.

I'll look at that one probably for 1.1. Never remembered to.

If I take them away I'll probably make someone angry who collects them as souvenirs.

Already fixed all of those, near as I can tell.

Edit: Also updated the Elven Warhammer fixing the decals https://unofficialskyrimpatch.16bugs.com/projects/7078/bugs/221628 if anyone wants to try it out.

It's a really odd bug and would be interested to know what is causing it once you do look into it.

Kivan - Just a massive thanks for continuing to update and support the Unofficial Patch. I've never had huge issues with Skyrim, but the work your team has done on this patch is outstanding. It's really opened Skyrim up for me again.

Cheers.

Two things:
  • I think this has been reported before, but anyway: if the quest 'recover the helm of winterhold' sends you to Yngol Barrow, the 'normal quest' that you get upon entering that dungeon will not occur properly, Yngol's shade will not appear, and you can't exit the dungeon unless you use tcl (so this screws up both quests).
  • Will USKP add things to skyrim that were 'supposed to be' in the base game but weren't? Like the Gift of the Gab perk that you are supposed to get (according to the prima guide) after finishing the quest Tending the Flames. I could list the stuff that I've noticed in the official game guide that's missing from the vanilla game. IMO the game would definitely be more interesting with them.

The torches on sconce activators will no longer duplicate-in-place (also adding slightly to bloat) when their cells respawn; the duplicate(s) would remain when the player picked up the newest torch

In my game, there is one torch which remains buggy although all the others that I use to see if the problem still exists were fixed.
The torch "immune" to USkP 1.03 is inside Ragged Flagon (TG HQ) just right side of the door leading to the Cistern.
I wait 31 days in Honeyside, no luck. That torch is still buggy.

W7 64bit / HD 5850 / CCC 12.1 / Sk 1.5.26.0.5 / SKSE 1.04.15 / BOSS 2.0 / NMM 0.16.4 / USKP 1.03 / ....and a bunch of mods.

Regarding the Brand-Shei bug, I fix that a long time ago with the console command: set TG00BrandSheiJail to 0 and waiting a few hours, but effectively with USKP 1.03, that bug is back. I will try the same fix latter and see if Brand-Shei returns to the market.

@Kivan, Arthmoor and all the others: AMAZING WORK with USKP! Please continue with the fixes to turn Skyrim in a better and a more enjoyable game! Cheers! :foodndrink:

Amazing stuff, can't wait to apply this to a new game.

Question:

Can I still use the USP on SKyrim 1.4.27?
I don't want to update as there are performance issues and I spent all winter trying to get an acceptable FPS from my low-end machine .

Yeah, you should be able too. and USKP shouldn't affect FPS.

1.5 performance issues are pretty minor (1-2 FPS at most) and you can disable that performance hit by turning off grass shadows.

Definitely... please post a link so that I can put it in the first post along with links to other translations. Of course, I'd wait until 1.0 is out. :) Also I will be doing a lot more text fixes for 1.1 if you want to hold off for that. I will be starting it almost immediately.

Thank you. :) And this is what keeps me going after all these years.

I hope those are on the tracker... if not, you know what to do. :) Lots of details please.

It doesn't fix already-duplicated torches unfortunately. That was missing from the changelog entry so I added it.

Regarding the Brand-Shei bug, I fix that a long time ago with the console command: set TG00BrandSheiJail to 0 and waiting a few hours, but effectively with USKP 1.03, that bug is back. I will try the same fix latter and see if Brand-Shei returns to the market.

Yup, fixed that for the onload a page or two ago. And thank you. :)
