Hmm, i'm looking at a PC to buy and it has an AMD Athlon II X3 processor and a 1 GB ATI HD5570 graphics card. Any idea how it (especially the processor) would fare against skyrim? Would it be worth it for 650 euro?
Uh no. 650 Euro for that hardware is highway robbery. That kind of money should get a system that would play the game on at least high settings.
What country you live in?
What's the max budget?
What do you need other than the tower? Windows OS, mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor?
Can you build yourself? Or does it have to be pre-assembled?
Can someone tell me if I can run Skyrim on Ultra with my build? Also, any good reading material to educate myself would be appreciated. I am returning to PC gaming after 7 years of console gaming, (first gaming PC stolen 4 months after I got it).
Intel i7 960 3.6 OC
EVGA 570 HD OC 810/1620/1950
12G RAM 1600 MHz
Let me know if you need other specs, I figured these were the relevant.
Ultra would be easy with that rig
Hi there,
I started up Skyrim and was assigned "medium" graphics. I tried playing with what it gave me and it was completely unbearable.
So, I ran Skyrim on the lowest settings possible, and it still doesn't give me more than 10fps, I'd bet.
Wondering what my biggest issue is, any help is appreciated. I'm pretty sure it's the Radeon 3000 Series that's the main problem, but any advice on where to go from here would be appreciated. I'm aiming to run this game on at least medium graphics settings with a smooth frame rate.

Thank you very much for the reply!
I figured as much, it seemed quite old judging on a simple google search

After looking at the 'prediction' list on the first, page, I'm considering getting a real GPU. However, I don't think I want to spend more than 100 dollars for it. Are there any GPUs that would be able to give me 'High' settings (for the most part) that would be within this budget?
You likely have a Bestec or Delta branded 300W power supply in your system. Can forget about the GTS 450 or 460 suggestions. You'd need a better PSU for those. The best I can suggest for that PSU is the http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102917 ...hopefully you have room for a double-slot card.
Sorry, this may be a repost but my question seemed to slip by everyone,
I was just wondering whether this setup would be able to run at least medium while always maintaining an FPS above 30?
If that's not the case, I may just pick this up for the Xbox 360 just to avoid the worry of not being able to run the game well.
Also, is medium settings on par, or above the graphical fidelity of a console?
My setup:
Lenovo Y570P laptop.
Windows 7 64bit
Intel Core i5-2410M, dual-core, 2.3GHz
1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M
4GB RAM
Resolution 1366x768
Probably get medium high with that.
I'm planning on buying a new PC. I'm not extra hardware savvy, so my question to all you: WILL IT RUN?
? Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium [64-bit]
? AMD A6-3600 quad-core processor [2.1GHz, 4MB L2 Cache]
? 6GB DDR3-1333MHz SDRAM [2 DIMMs] from 4GB
? 2GB DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce GT 530 [DVI, HDMI, VGA adapter]
Probably get medium with that.
