If you're on pc, 1.6 causes problems with many mods, especially the unofficial patch. Some examples copy and pasted from the mod forums...
Any mod that attempts to edit any vanilla dialogue will break the dialogue topic and cause it to lose its connection to its voice and lip-sync assets. This causes the dialogue in-game to become silent, with no voiceover and no lip-sync. You have to turn on the subtitles to get what is being said.
You may wish to uninstall the USKP for now if you don't like the idea of voice-acting intermittently cutting out.
Not only that, it will also cause any result scripts attached to the edited dialogue to fail to execute, which interferes with a number of scene based situations that start quests. One example being Armen's sword quest in Whiterun. Another I've run into is the Jagged Crown scenes in both Solitude and Windhelm.
