1.8 UpdateDragonborn DLC discussion thread #44

You mean Dunmer? Or Rieklings?

These are neither. They have cracked skin too. They could be Solstheim Draugr though, as those had red eyes. But I think they're original.

Red Mountain was made too small in Morrowind because the short view distance meant you couldn't appreciate the size. It's described as huge in lore and Arena, in fact were it not for the crater I think it's supposed to be almost as large as High Hrothgar.

Then yea, there is probably more than 30 then.

So in Dragonborn there are approximately half the locations that were present in Bloodmoon?

Doesn't look like there were 60 locations in Bloodmoon, unless some are missing from http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Places

Could the Dragon pries/dragon born be Konarhrik?

Spoiler
We killed the 8 dragon priests but got Konarhrik's mask as a bonus. In my oppinion he should be alive, maybe he rejected the title of a dragon priest and the mask that comes with it.

figured it out

In the trailer the Dragon Priest doesn't have a mask on, so I leaning towards that he is Konarhirk cause when you fight the other Dragon Priests they all wear their masks.

But it's just a prophecy. Could be wrong or misinterpreted.

The Dragon Priest on the beginning is just a random Dragon Priest.
The Dragonborn Dragon Priest wears a mask. It's the dude from the teaser picture.

On another note, if the items crafted is achievement 72, and the locations 75....and right now there are 65 achievements. Then the dlc will add at least 10 achievements. Guessing...could be wrong...totally wrong.

Hm. 30 locations seem to be not so much, then.
Hopefully Apocrypha will be big enough to compensate. If not, this is not our SI equivalent. Not yet.
Maybe there will be a bit of western Morrowind included, after all? With all the Dunmer stuff around now, anyways. /dreaming

Then again, if you need only 30 for an achievement... there could be up to 90 on Solstheim alone, am I right?
Well it is the same price as Dawnguard. So no SI equivalent. Not yet.

It's possible. If memory serves, Xbox live policy dictates that a DLC add-on can have as many achievements as it likes (within reason) so long as it doesn't add up to over 250 Gamerscore.

Solstheim's pretty small in Morrowind too. Doesn't take long to tavel across it, especially as a werewolf running at high speeds. The blizzards could make it hard to figure out where you were going though.

Basing it on price isn't a good practice

Maybe not, Dawnguard came with exactly 10 new achievements.

There probably won't be a dlc the size of SI. This would be the closet since it takes us to a world space like skyrim, with locations and stuff. Dawnguard took us to like two smalled worldspaces that didnt have much. This is a larger scale. I don't see them making another dlc like this that takes us to another full place. Just my guess.

Maybe people will finally stop complaining about Skyrim not having enough "exotic" things in it.

On a side note...

A WHOLE MONTH OF WAITING.And that is if PC and PS3 users get the DLC at the same time as Xbox

30 location fo the achievement means nothing. Maybe there are 50 or 60 plus secret location, or new location added to the main map of skyrim. People are really worried about silly things.

This is why I'm hoping for a more detailed explanation on the Dragonborn in general.. one of the books in Skyrim explained a little about what the general meaning of it is, but with what this DLC seems to be about maybe we'll get to understand it better.

Heh?

Basing off the code the other guy linked me to. The achievement on the list of achievement could be the 75th achievement.

So are there going to be swords that are stronger than Dragonbone swords? I'm hoping not.

Maybe not? I said there may be 10 achievements....you say maybe not and use the example that Dawnguard came with 10. That kind of proves my point though lol
