K Volt being Overpowered

So I've had a few MP encounters on a few of the different maps (i don't remember specifically) but everytime i had an encounter with someone with the K Volt 4 shots would kill me where in 5 to 10 shots from the LMG would not kill him. 1 shot would drain the suits energy and an additional 3 shots would kill me and my friend. I'm not sure if this issue has been said within the other forum topics for the 360, ps3 or pc versions of the game but it is way to overpowered since it's supposed to be the weakest gun in the entire game with the damage output being at 1 bar and it's supposed to act like a stronger version of a tazer that fires electrified pellets instead of needles. Please if any moderator gets back to me to explain this i would be grateful for any response by other players of the game and so on. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully there will be an update for all consoles that have this issue.

i dont seem to have any issues killing people that use the k-folt i think its just the fact that no one is use to having a gun drain there energy.

eh i haven't had problems IF i catch the person off guard, if not i'm killed almost instantly though i still say the K Volt needs to be nerfed since anyone that isn't using the K Volt gets caught off guard then they would be annoyed and would say the same thing as i am.

If anything my experience is the Opposite of this. It suffers from extremely slow bullets and I do not know why when the stats say other wise. Also it take more like 12 to 10 direct hits to kill someone not the 4 your talking about bud. Though I have been playing on craptistic PC severs while your on the DAMN XBOX version that works. Sorry it is just that bad on PC right now.

Hm I I'm sure that pc version is having quite a few problems judging from the posts that the mods had made about the PC version having issues in the demo stages of the game, and it may seem like 10 to 12 shots from the shoots perspective BUT the K Volt even when aiming down the sights it has very sporadic shots and never fly straight so the receiving end always receives fewer shots than have actually been fired.

Yeah but I am more sure that the K-volt pellet speed it too slow.....I can see them in the air. Not the bullet streaks of other gunfire but actually the PELLETS MOVING way slower and people moving out of the way. Anyway I think it is balanced if the stats are true which they are not.

The stats aren't balanced in the slightest, and they pellet speed is slow but not leaving much room to run if you're caught off guard by it. Even so all i'm saying is that it is over powered with 1 shot to drain your energy and 3 additional to kill you. the post before this one, where you yourself empreb, had stated it should take 10 to 12 shots of direct hits sounds better balanced than 4. The K Volt's damage stat is at 1 bar for christ's sake, yes your energy gets drained but it shouldn't do it in 1 shot, it should take chunks of your energy away leaving you some resistance to damage from other types of weapon damage.

I play on the 360 which has SOME issues but not nearly as bad as the pc from what you've told me, and it's alright just a frustrated player that likes the game but the MP isn't as fun because of that one gun because it ruins the matches at times. any other gun like the feline, scorpion, grendel i'm fine with i was caught off guard by someone who knows how to aim and relies on it rather than someone using a revamped tazer to make you defenseless. anyways hope the PC version gets it's issues resolved you and to make the game more enjoyable as well.

Well I do not mind the K-volt being a nanosuit drainer but 4 hits is OPed. But that is the Xbox. For PC it does nothing right. Yet still can somewhat kill....lol.

10-12 makes sense but its spread and bullet speed need to be fixed for PC. They are terrible anyway I hope we both get a well balanced, unique and useful K-volt soon. Cause I love what is does heheeh.

Yeah k volt needs a boost. At this point if you get the jump on someone they can 180 and kill you before you even start to really damage them. Sad really.

It only seems overpowered to nanosuit abusers since it drains your energy. I say its balanced considering the slow projectile speed from range and the damage output......than again without armor mode on you are a walking eggshell.

The K-volt is a badly-designed gun, one shot draining your Nanosuit is ridiculously OP, it basically makes you helpless. It should be harder to aim, have a very small clip and not drain your energy bar instantly.

Is this the weapon that makes an electrical field crackle all around you and then you instantly die? If it is then yes it's broken. One shot kills happen with this all the time.

I've been in a few games where people have k-volts and they nearly always have the most kills. Its getting to the point where i just sit in the corner somewhere after i've been killed a few times and just wait for the match to end since its almost pointless going against them. Not only that but it seems like the bullets have a splash damage and i've had my energy drained when i've been around a corner. I haven't unlocked it myself yet but after being on the receiving end a few times it seems very overpowered.

I have seen so many threads about balance issues. I am Lvl 34, i have a large majority of the weapons unlocked, and the K-Volt is far from OP. The K-Volt is in essence a perfect SMG, it has high power (and energy drain) BUT, the bullets are almost half the speed of the bullets from other weapons. This means that the K-Volt is formidable at close range, and only really good for suppressing at medium to long range. If somebody tries to shoot you with the K-volt and they are out of the optimum range, strafe.

since people have mentioned that the gun has a large spread and since one bullet takes all your energy im finding it hard to strafe especially when most of the time you get shot in the back. Also most of the maps are close quarters (impact, skyline, city hall, parking deck, etc) and the few that arent (eg statue, light house) have atlease a few areas that are still close quarters. Not to mention certain modes like crash site have you stay in an area where people just spray with a k-volt and guarantee atleast 1 hit. Although all the problems im seeing with the gun may be due to other things like connections for example.

The k volt isn't overpowered, I've used it and it's way to slow. The bullets move to freaking slow and I've unloaded 25 shots into someone who had armor up and it didn't kill them and htey turn around and hit me with 3-4 bullets when I have armor lock up and it kills me. The hit detection is just craptastic. T Hey actually managed to make it worse then the demo. yeah, if you know how ot use the k-volt i't s OP but what gun isn't if you can properly use it?

I use the kvolt quite often, but I don't get a op feeling off it, actually a silenced feline seems to do the job just as well

i don't think the k-volt is over powerd the feline kills as fast if not faster i only seem to use rapid fire with kvolt other wise it takes way to much time to kill
