Sorry but OP I've seen about 50 posts of you saying "there are only nordic themes!!!!!"... Think of it like this: you are in Skyrim, home of the nords. The culture is heavily influenced by, you guessed it, NORDS. It wouldn't make any sense to have anything but nordic themed houses.

It would be nice to be able to build a house in the Rift, or Whiterun tundra.

I think you are a little overreacting , game takes place in skyrim so they will probobly takes themes of people living in skyrim which are Argonians...wait no , Nords, I really don't think it will be that big deal, I don't like the fact that probobly all chidlren for adoption will be nords or human races but I don't make a new topic about that.

Actuall you are Homo Sapiens Sapiens playing a fictional race named Breton, but whatever.
If you would be a russian in Mezoamerica how would you build your house?

If we're limited to only the Nordic style it'll be disappointing.

I'm also disappointed that we have to manage Skeevers and Giants.

Why can't my character have the Skeevers as pets or befriend the giants/make offerings to them?

I'm also disappointed by the fact that the wording of the advertisemant indicates we can only build houses in a few of the holds, so my hopes of making a home in the Rift or Whiterun are out the window.

I also hope that we don't have to have "Enchanting Towers" or something like that to have enchanting tables. That would be terrible.

I'm a little miffed by the fact we'll have to buy deeds. My evil necromancer doesn't want to have government records pointing to the fact he lives way out in the wilderness. If a steward comes a-knockin' he'd just kill him to make a new thrall anyway.

Not that anyone would be able to get passed his Runefield in the first place.

It'd also be nice if we could kill the people and just take the deeds from them that way.

EARLY. Bethesda said that Xbox gets 30 day exclusives for the first 2 DLCs.

Do you honestly believe they would just not release the DLC for PS3/PC?

Yes, yes I do. After everything that's been happening, why wouldn't I? They'd probably say it was too hard to code for the ps3 or something.

EDIT: They did it in Oblivion.

But we didn't see any in the Trailer did we ?
I hope it's just a huge surprise.

Whether something is in the trailer or not doesn't mean it will or won't be in the game.

I had people rather annoyed at me before release when the one trailer came out, before the announcement that rideable horses were in the game. A lot of people were ranting about riding horses, pointing out the one saddled horse you can see in the trailer. I mentioned that a saddled horse tethered to a hitching post didn't equal rideable. Morrowind had saddled guars, but none were rideable. Until something is announced or the dlc comes out, I'd just wait and see.

As far as building in the "Breton style"; I hope it fits the weather and terrain of Skyrim. Otherwise having your Breton style house collapsing under the weight of the snow, sinking into the melting ground every spring, or blown down in the blizzards and windstorms wouldn't be a good thing. Hopefully it is also well insulated....

It's called role playing, oh great intelligent one.

I am hoping that we can do more than the Nordic style, or at least, more than the usual Whiterun styled house. I need at least one Riften styled cabin somewhere!

what im more disappointed in is the skeevers/giants heck i bet my adopted kids could kill those, wait kids are immortal so my adopted kids could literally kill giants lol. i hope that there will be more raiders like bandits or maybe a dragon priest/dragur attack.
but are you guys sure that there are only those locations don't you think you could atleast get one in 1 hold each?

I think that Oblivion came out a year before the ps3 came out. That was one reason that Knights of the Nine was included with the game for the ps3 players. There was some issue with making sure that there wasn't going to be "legal copy" issues for the other dlc. I don't recall all of the reasons that came out at the time, but it was more than just "they can't code it" for the other Oblivion dlc.

? Choose Your Land - Choose from property in the salt marshes of Hjaalmarch, the forests of Falkreath, or the vast tundra of The Pale.

You know this could just be a generalization of places that you can buy land, not the only places land can be purchased. I wouldn't expect them to list all the places land can be bought. Just saying...

Still would have been nice to get some horse armour.

Soooo I can't have a dwarven house in Blackreach or a snow elven house in the Forgotten Vale. Actually all I really want is a house in the plains of Whiterun so I can watch mammoth migrations from my balcony. Hopefully there will be other locations but they only mentioned Hjaalmarch, Falkreath, and the Pale.

I'm supposed to be disappointed there's only Nordic Building structures and not Giant flying Dwemer boats you can build? :o
I'm in Skyrim, I would want to build a house meant to keep me warm instead of a Elsweyrian Home meant to keep cool :|

I refuse to give up hope for a custom built house in The Rift. It will be EPIC and bring all the giants to my yard, offering me mammoths and such. After I befriend them, I just gotta figure out a way to get them into my basemant to send the skeevers to the moons.

Ohhh, a house proportioned for giants. A tea party with cauldrons.

I gotta stop drinking. I'm done now.

I personally wouldn't care all that much if it was only Nordic architecture available for the house. What I'm more interested in at the moment is how many adoptable children there are, and if there are any new child races, though I think I already have a good idea on the answer to the second question. Not that I have anything against human children, it's just that the lack of elven and beast children could hinder the experience for people who play as elves, Argonians and Khajiit. I also hope that it won't be too difficult for the creator of Scenic Carriages to create a version of the mod that would be compatible with Hearthfire, unlike Dawnguard which has been creating scripting woes for the modding community. :swear:

There was a farmer who used to want to offer gifts to giants like you, but then he took a trip to the moon...
