His face is set in a neutral expression; I don't think he saw his killer. Alexander Ellington swears he heard someone shout, "Hey, what are you doing in here?" during the night, but nobody else remembers hearing anything.
To me, it sounds like a third party was pokin' his nose where it didn't belong, and said hello to Mr. Wolfie.

Si, Sam, I was thinking the same about the flophouse - it seems clear our furry does not stay there. That, plus the knife wound, leaves us with the 3 you list.

But I'm on Senor Clyde's side. If it was Nate that asked the question, I'm not sure the loner Clyde could diffuse the situation so easy. A smooth talker or quick thinker like Jebediah or Gor'badd would be more likely. There is another possibility, too - that one of the furries was surprised that the knife-holding furry was in there.

I will add my vote against Gor'badd. Jebediah has the start of a decent case, but he misses the largest strike against Gor'badd - the location of the knife wound. Nate was struck from behind in the left shoulder, which is most easily done with a downward motion... Of the left hand. Gor'badd's right side is wounded, so he would likely favor his left side as his weapon hand, while the other two suspects have no clear reason to do so.

And I will consent to a search of Farm 2, though I hope that we search the Winery tomorrow... These furries seem to be taking advantage of the flophouse, and even though a wolf appears to reside there, they're systematically whittling away at its residents rather than increasing the odds of us finding the two that are staying away from the flophouse by targeting the others. I told you the flophouse search would be wasted, and I'm convinced a search of the Winery will not.

"Good thinking huh? Could be good thinking at anything. Why would I be any better at thinking something like this? Could have been good at thinking of tracks or good at thinking of using a gun. You will be sending an innocent man to his death on such flimsy ground" Clyde looks surprised, he didn't think he would ever need to say so much words at once.

Hmmm, the left side part makes sense. I'll switch my vote to Gor'badd.

Well, since everyone is ready to search Farm 2, I'll switch my vote back to Farm 2.

About the lynching, I might just want to say this, say he is a wolf, wouldn't it a be a bad idea to try to tie him up? He might turn into a wolf and then we die! I suggest we shoot the person being executed. On that note, I'll shoot Gor'badd my self if we decide not to lynch him.

She shrugs.

We already have these ropes around us, amigo. Not much sense worrying about how we kill a furry. We want it dead, it dies. Comprende?

How deep is the wound?

Aces

Looks alarmed

You aren't asking me to stick something in there to find out, are you? Because I'm not doing that. It's deep, though, I can tell you that. Not just a little poke.

It's not like he'll bite. Anyway, could a weak person cause a wound that deep?

Fine, there went that theory. *grumbles to himself about being wrong*
I guess I’ll help with Gor'badd.

So do we send him to the gallows, or form a firing squad?

Gor'badd seems like the obvious choice since we know he hates guns. There isn't much other evidence to back up that claim though... but I guess it's better than to sit around on our arses waiting to be slaughtered

What direction was the body facing? was he walking away from the place he was sleeping in or towards it?

Gor'Badd Al' Chem'st

Let's all CALM DOWN!

I've never used my knife to strike down another human being! You all seem to forget about the last days evidence, we know for sure there's a werewolf in the flophouse, we know one of them has a gun and we also know one of them has a knife. Dammit, stop this madness! I'm not a damn dog!

I know there's "evidence" pointing towards it being me, but if you combine all the evidence we have so far, it clearly point towards Jim Jackson! He is a ranch hand, thus hasn't much experience with guns. He also has a knife! And he is a resident in the flophouse! Everything points at him.
Possessions: Revolver, ammo, worn leather gloves, rope, large knife
If the wound is deep, it's got to be from a large knife as well.

Gentlemen and ladies, do not murder me in panic just because you feel something must be done! Instead look at all the evidence we have!

I cannot explain the attack towards the left side instead of the right. That is as good as no evidence if you ask me though. I cannot explain it. But what I can explain is that I am not a wolf! At least search my house before killing me, I'm telling you, you are after the wrong man! My knife couldn't possibly cause a wound that deep! Neither do I have enough strength in me to do a deep wound either!
*shows his plant-cutting knife to the others*

*roots around in his bag, takes up his pipe and fills it full with herbs. A tripple dose compared to the normal amount.*

As for searching a location tonight, it won't matter if you deside to shoot my brains out. Once we've passed this urge to kill someone we can continue discussing what to search next. Unbelieveable, half of you want me killed based on a deep knife wound in the flophouse!

Gor'Badd Al' Chem'st

I am calmed down, thanks to my trust old pipe.
*smiles happily*
It would of course help if you'd remove your votes to kill me. I am not the murderer. Jim Jackson is a much more likely candidate, everything we've gathered so far fits him. He can't use a revolver efficiently, he has a large knife and he lives in the flophouse.
Or, what do I know. Right now I don't even care. *smiles happily*

OOC:Edit: Added the character name.

Lo siento, Gor'badd. I just think the deep wound has more to do with the motion of the knife than the size of it... That the knife was thrust in a piercing motion, si, rather than a slashing one. That is also consistent with his robes - the blood stain is mentioned, but no mention of big cuts to the shirt.

And you do understand why we are searching for one not from the flophouse? Someone was there last night that should not have been... And since nobody has offered themselves up as the culprit, it is probably the furry with the knife.

All you have as evidence of outsiders entering the place is one man. That's worse than no evidence-it might as well be all lies.
I vote for a search of my own house, house 4.
If you are looking for a suspect outside the flophouse, jebediah is the man you are looking for. However, Jim Jackson is a person that fits every single solid piece of evidence we have. He isn't good with a gun, he has a large knife and he lives in the flophouse. I don't trust the courier when he says he heard something. Why didn't anyone else hear anything, when all bedrooms are so close to eachother?

Jim Jackson also steps in if things gets out of control. Cool headed when under pressure.
This fits both of these murders. One of the wolves was struggling to kill the hunter, so Jim acted cool headedly and took control of the situation. Shot two times with no lethal efficiency and then returned to the flophouse for the night, as the tracks show. This day, he chose to make a stealthy, calculated kill with his knife. One of the other wolves most likely asked him or he asked them "what are you doing here", just before the kill.

Edit: let me point out that if i truly was a werewolf, shouldn't my fellow werewolf friends in that case protect me from this much suspicion and step in to defend me? Which hasn't happened: I'm supported my no-one.

Actually Gor'Badd I think that if you are a furry your buddies will at this point have realized defending you has lost it's purpose and not make their true identity apparent by defending someone the crowd so clearly thinks is guilty. I am not personally completely sure of your guilt and besides you seem already to be doomed so I won't waste my breath saying I cast my vote for you. Wouldn't want to stain my hands with blood I'm not sure is guilty. But in any case I would like to assist in the search of farm 2.
