So what are you doing to kill time until ESO?

Post » Sun May 05, 2013 9:13 pm

Playing some Skyrim and Lotro, have not played the last two expansions, gota lot of new stuff to keep me going for now, downloaded Neverwinter, it's ok I guess, I could not see me there for a long time. Knowing I am waiting on TESO, I don't get to deep into anything else..:)

I have been checking out NeverWinter. Will admit I think the game is pretty cool so far. Have only put about 5 hours into it so far but Im enjoying it.

Also have been playing some Demon/Dark Souls fun and some Dragons Dogma. Good games!

Playing Skyrim, EQ2 and watching shows on Netflix.

While waiting for ESO, I have started playing Dark Fall : Unholy Wars . It is so much like ES (combat wise) it is kind of scary. Honestly I am actually enjoying it. It remind me back when I started with UO and EQ . Every single thing matters. You feel part of the world and you are making some impact. Heart start pumping as soon as I leave the safe zone. No guarantee what waits outside the wall!

I'll give it another try once the Romulans are out. I'm a lifetime subscriber because the game is really fun at the beginning, but once you hit the brickwall that is endgame it gets frustrating. Once there it's mainly about micromanagement and grinding reputation and dilithium ... I wish they had a solid PvP system like ESO.

But it has changed a lot since launch day for sure. The quality of the game is much better overall, but it lacks the ... point.

On topic: Super Street Fighter IV AE. Really looking forward to the 2013 update, hoping for a lot of love for Oni.

took a look into neverwinter yesterday... a disgusting game it is.

every piece of dynamic is killed by the fact that you are unable to move while attacking.

hopefully we aren't forced to stand still while attacking in ESO.
otherwise there are other games to be played.

Doubt it, every video I've seen (official and leaked) had the players moving while attacking and casting most things. I'm sure there will be some abilities you gotta stand still for but definitely not the majority.

I have way too much games to play now, i bought alan wake, the newer chronicles of riddic game, kings bounty and a few others like a month ago from gog when they were on sale and i haven't even downloaded any of them. And i bought all the DLCs for New Vegas and i did play it for 10 hours but only 1 h was spent in the dlc content..testing different mods is really fun for me.. And i need to finish torchlight 2 at some point, only played it twice after i bought it even though i really liked it. Zenoclash 2 and blood dragon looked really fun too and there is also a new expansion coming for Heroes of M&M 6.. I did download Neverwinter, the combat was fun and i really like the foundry but i'm only lvl9 and it's a Perfect World game so i'm guessing i should quit it now while i'm still having fun. Though it did make me want to play NWN2 again..

Playing Neverwinter , it's fun but at the same time a perfect example of why I'm praying that ESO is sub based , $6 dollar re-spec FTL ...

I'm playing SWTOR once again. Yes, I resubbed because I was bored and missed my guildmates :( I'm having tons of fun now with the new expansion and everything they have added. I'll probably stay playing it untill ESO release.

Doing everything I won't have time for once ESO is released.

Things like sleeping, eating, spending time with my girlfriend, finishing XCOM - Enemy Unknown on impossible ironman mode, working or maintaining social contacts.

If you mean it is as fun as playing with rocks, then I totally agree.

I tried Neverwinter and I don't like it much at all, it's pretty average.

I'll just keep playing GW2.

There's no such thing as free in this world. In my experience, free-to-play games cost more in other ways than a subscription based game ever will. So if ESO is not sub-based, I won't be wasting my time on it.

Ill be working, making money, finishing up Skyrim's DLC, I was also invited to Marvel Heroes online beta, that was fun I hope to be invited to the next beta weekend. There are a couple interesting games coming out in the next few months, Last of Us, Watch Dogs & GTA V.

I was in alpha testing from late December 2012 until about 4 weeks ago so it lasted quite a while. The thing is when you are testing like that you are given access to an NPC who can set your level and gear to any level you need for testing the content so you get to see it all and I now have no desire to play Neverwinter at all. I might go back to it after its been around for a year or so and see how its shaping up but right now its a waste of my time.

Yet foundry draws me back. Things like foundry in this kind of games makes them epic.

I wonder how unpopular would starcraft or warcraft would be without map editor

You like it ? I thought it to be easy and mind numbing game play. All you do is follow the sparkling trail to the next dungeon, you can't sell anything on the AH because you need Astral Diamonds which you have to griind through daily quests to get them. Its a pay to win game just like every other PWE mmo.

I am playing TSW mainly mixed in with Defiance. I like the missions in TSW and the fact that not many are waypointed on the map, the riddle ones where you need to use google and search for the passwords and clues makes a nice touch. The game setting is grim and reminds me of the WoD. Which brings me onto Defiance as its like a Fallout game just with aliens, true the game has some bugs but what mmo doesn't at release?

Also dabble in Age of Wushu now and then as its free to play.
