What armour are you wearing?

Post » Thu May 10, 2012 9:40 am

Just wanted to know what armour you guys are wearing and why you like it (or why not), just smithed myself a set of ebony, and I have to say its much better than OB's version, looks great and is very protective.

Whiterun Guard armor that I found on the first dragon I killed. Serving me well so far.

Really want to up my smithing though, so that I can make the higher grade armor.

Found a full set of Elven by level 18...

Wondering when I will start to find Elven weapons, currently on Steel Skyforge + Dwarven + Silver weapons.

Agreed! The Forsworn armor is beautiful! I'm currently all in iron, but I took a set of that druid armor home just in case. ;)

I would recommend investing in smithing, well worth it, only 9 levels till daedric for me xD I can't wait

Light armour, imperial, the one you get at start, fur bracers, hunter hoodie and leather boots.

Question, can I make leather armour and how that happens?

Yes you can make leather armour, and to make leather armour you need pieces of leather, and leather strips, both of which you can buy (or you can make leather from using hides). Requirements are as follows:

Leather Armour (Full Set): 9 Leather, 8 Leather Strips. ------ summed up, more detail below.

Leather Armour: 4 Leather, 3 Leather Strips.

Leather Boots: 2 Leather, 2 Leather Strips.

Leather Bracers: 1 Leather, 2 Leather Strips.

Leather Helmet: 2 Leather, 1 Leather Strip.

Basically get what you need of leather or leather strips, head on down to the nearest forge (at Blacksmiths) and start your smithing.

I wear robes since I'm a mage mainly, but when I do fight with weapons I have a set of Elven. Can't wait to find some Glass. :)

Stormcloak fur armor, same as Stone-Fist wears. I love the way my character looks, real woodsmen tribal warrior type.

I was wearing the Fur armour for a bit, which I upgraded. Then the Jarl in Whiterun gave me some nice leather armour which I've also upgraded. I think you learn the smithing from any smith in anytown if you ask. I learned it in Riverwood.

Well I just hit 100 on Smithing so made me some Dragon armor. Regreted it though as I realized Daedric is actually more powerful than Dragon, so now I have 1 part Daedric and 3 parts Ebony.

Elven mixed with Glass. Or Glass mixed with Elven, whichever you prefer.

I'm not really blown away by the different types of armour sadly. :(
