Oh, you have to go Female if you are doing a Legion Build. For no other reason than it smacks up against their views on women and that pleases me. Kind of shoving it in their misogynistic faces. However to follow Lore, you should be a male character for a legion build.

However, i did finally find inspiration to play a Legion playtrough. The same one that allowed me to blow up the Citadel in FO3: remnants of the Chinese infiltrators that still seek to destabilize what's left of the USA to the best of their abilities. And Legion is easier to disperse back into warring tribes than the bureocratic monstrosity that is NCR.

So i'm supporting Legion, but in reality i'm not

Anyways, the benefits of the Legion..

Good caravan protection, safe lands, laws enforced, no drugs and less amounts of corruption, and theres more but I can't think of them right now.

The Legion have a great array of headgear, the leather helmet with the face scarf, the one made of a dead dog, they are all good.

But the one with the feathers is my favourite, I wear it occasionally, but with non-Legion armour, I don't want people getting the wrong idea now.

I started my current character with the intention to side with the Legion, just to play that side of the story. But I'm finding it increasingly difficult to actually like them. I've done a handful of quests, and even killed House for the Legion, but my lack of respect for their cause is making me lean more towards finishing with the Yes Man ending (even though I don't like that guy much either).

I agree, although strangely both my Legion builds have been female..
It's kind of satisfying making a psychotic hardend raider woman, then head to CL camp to show she's tougher, smarter and more ruthless than any of them.
Plus you get the added bonus of liquifying C brains putting Lanius in charge and role playing that after the battle you're betrayed and get to butcher them then.
