For me, that most enemies, even unarmoured humans were bullet sponges (and the PC) and that weapons degraded too fast. Also, the clunky aiming.

I've actually been wondering about that lately....
I've started to have a fear that since everyone can die.. We'll get to a quest giver only to find that they've somehow randomly died. From falling off of something (that happened in Megaton all the time.. I don't think I had a game where Lucy West lived through to the end.) . something attacking them.. blah, blah, blah.
That's going to kind of svck if that happens. Miss out on quests over something you have no control over.

[censored] happens.

It is the wasteland after all. the fact people die due to causes other then the players bullets sorta makes sense... although it will be irritating.

edit: also why is Bethesda allowed to use big boy language in their games, but we get censored?

Lack of survival aspects. Drinking water is hardly a 'tactical choice', when you have plenty of other ways to restore your health. And even if you do get irradiated, the effects are hardly severe.

I don't like that food and water in the game are nothing more than cheap healing items with radiation.

The AI wasn't that great either, NPCs did not take cover enough and would just blindly run at you in the open.

The game was too easy on normal, but stupid on harder difficulties because of the insane amount of bullets it takes to kill something. And you'd get more XP.

Luckily mods solve all my issues with the game. Primary Needs for the hunger/thirst/sleep requirements (Looking forward to New Vegas's hardcoe mode), and Arwen's Realism Tweaks for the AI, difficulty in general, no above average player (you have 5 more stat points than everyone else) and no 'bullet sponges'.

For me the game was too buggy out the gate, with the low point being the QA done on Mothership Zeta. As long as they do a better job of this and we get a more stable, tested game, I'll be very happy with all of the rest.

Haveing DLCs really [censored] up the game, buggy and laggy as hell especially with Mothership Zeta. I couldn't even access the mothership after completing all of the DLCs :banghead: :swear:

All of the above EXCEPT options 3, 4, 7 and 9.

Dogmeat never died for me. I had a mod that let me toggle him to be immortal if I so desired. Which I usually did. And then promptly told him to wait in my player home for the rest of the game. Which brings me to point four:

More followers? How about followers that are useful to sneaky sniper types? I found every single one of them a liability. They just got me attacked more often than not, got in the way, shot me in the ass, and their AI was pretty stupid.

As for 7...this is Fallout. I don't want it to have pormo in it.

The DLC was quite wonderful indeed. Especially broken steel.

Most of the things were rectified by mods, so in the end they didn't matter. Even 7, for the perverts among us. They won't necessarily be a deal breaker for New Vegas, either.

i just put nova answer to be funny. though wen i played and saw what happen i died laughing

Lack of tighter collision bother me the most.

The secondary problem I had was walking around completely naked and nobody looks and stares at you. But touch a tin can and they say HEY WATCH IT !

The DLC really ticked me off (Save Point Lookout and Broken Steel.) I felt they were more there to throw a bone and get rich quick without putting some real good stuff in their expansion. Anchorage wasn't bad, but I didn't like it, The Pitt and Zeta were just awful, I couldn't stand either of them, I felt that Broken Steel was strong because it changed the ending, which svcked big time and I just loved the epic battles, and Point Lookout was just awesome, It was long, tons of things to do, a lot more new weapons and a new area to explore. Which is the kind of expansions I sort of want in this game.

Furthermore, A ending where I can actually contuine from the end and do whatever I want, unless they did the same again so they can sell another DLC pack >>. I really hope they fix the glitches as well, I hate falling through the floor.

Nope, I'd rather be average and have the wasteland be a serious threat, at any level. If I want to be mars incarnate I'll go play Crysis or something. :P

Actually what really bothered me most was the lack of any sort of reputation system. You could kill half of megaton, be chased away by the residents, then return a few days later, and be completely fine by all of the residents. (It was even worse with Tenpenny Tower. After they chased you out, 2 days later they'd open the gates back up for you.

My other MAJOR peeve was the fact that with Broken Steel installed, when you found Dogmeat he'd be invincible, same with Seargent RL3 and Fawkes. Broken Steel also made the radio start broadcasting about events that hadn't yet happened.

I love Fallout 3 as well.

Things that bothered me the most would have to be the ability to sprint, not enough facial expressions, and the melee could have been better in my opinion.

Dogmeat getting killed in a fight bothers... but the fact that he can get killed in a fight does not. I would be far more irritated if Dogmeat were some sort of essential/invulnerable waste of time.

my thoughts exactly

Did you know that if you find Dogmeat after installing Broken Steel, he is some sort of essential/invulnerable waste of time? No seriously, there's a glitch that makes him invincible. check it out: (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sKd0V2yZ4iY) -HE JUST WONT DIE!

I hate that you cant shoot from cover without your bullets hitting some invisible barrier around the object.
I hate the fact that no matter how far I progress and how much I do I always have to talk like I just crawled out of the vault.
I never liked the limited dialogue choices, just because I play a good character doesn't mean I need to talk like a goody two shoes.
I was dissapointed in the apparent laziness with the calibre of the weapons, and that I couldnt put a scope on a hunting rifle or aim down the iron sights.
And I would like to see an improvement in the intelligence of my enemies, the fact that raiders seem to fearlessly attack you no matter how well armed or armored you are never made sense and the fact that the training of the enclave solders seems to be limited to shouting things like "attack pattern gamma," while they charge at you like everyone else.
Also the limited attacks with melee weapons.
Overall its a good game, but it needed a little polishing.

Only real complaint I had aside of the ending, is the amount of damage (or lack thereof) per shot to the head... maybe make the head shot % in vats lower and increase damage a reasonable bit. IMO

Actually what annoyed me most in Fallout 3 was when you entered VATS and you were shooting someone, your character would still keep shooting at the person even when they've hidden behind cover wasting VATS AP. That STILL annoys me today...

Nothing really bothered me a lot, the whole vats thing you described is annoying but really rarely happened to me so no biggie.

I know it was supposed to be a wasteland, but the towns that had 5 buildings and 4 people in it were just god-awful!! and that was pretty much ALL of them. SInce Vegas was supposedly not as affected by the war as DC, I pray they decide to actually include REAL cities, you know, like in the original Fallout games....

I wasn't a fan of just slowly jogging miles upon miles.

It was a good pace for being able to "run" and still observe the environment.. but when you're going back and forth through places you already know - it'd be nice if you could get there faster in non-fast travel situations.

For me the most annoying aspect was the ending. I would like to be able to continue my adventure in New Vegas. Sadly I read somewhere that NV will also, permanently end, but this time a heads up warning will appear.

I did eventually get the DLC so everything was fine then.
