Iv never really tried her but from my last forum people like her as a follower. So am wondering what's so good an isn't her perk only good so people who drink whisky

Daughter of John Cassidy. She is a straight talking no nonsense woman that can drink most men under the table and can more then handle herself in a fight. Whats not to Love?

Yeah her perk is a joke. who even cares about alcohol that has no relevance to combat or anything. I don't ever drink alcohol in the game.

And her special trick now is having the Shotgun Surgeon perk built into her stats. She's quite nasty with a hunting shotgun and I've seen her solo Legion Assassination teams more than once.

She is not a fool. She is not comletely belligerent. If she was you would not be able to stop her from taking out the crimson caravan or the Van Graffs. She is also very independent and capable plus its a nuclear wasteland I would not trust a person that did not drink.

You could say that her father was a drunk but hes one of the best damn followers I could ask for.

Then let me also add, companions with hellbent quests do not excite me. A simple companion that follows and assists me is all I need. So, personally, nothing is good about Cassidy.

So you want a campanion like Fawkes, big and stupid with no side quests/personality? Anyways its a matter of preference. I just like a character with a back story and personality even if that personality is one that likes to drink, fight and screw.

Actually no, I hated fawks. In fact, in Fallout 3 I didn't have any companion.

In NV, I prefer Veronica because she is simple and open to change.

Wow uhh I suppose if you do not like her you just do not... To be honest I felt a bit iffy about having a drunk watching my back but it worked out ok I suppose. And I do not know if I should actually break this to you but All as in all of the hirelings heh have side quests....And really each of the followers is supposed to complement a play style.. if any Gannons ability seemed a waste to me as I try not to get hurt but I liked traveling with him as a member none the less.

I hate Fawkes as well. I also like Veronica but Cass is open to change she just needs some convincing. It just comes down to personal preference and Fallout New Vegas does give us different personalities to pick from just like the originals. FO3 according to a mod we were not going to have followers that is why we were called the "Lone Wanderer" which would explain why they have no personality IMHO.

Cass' perk is OK - great, usefull in hardcoe where weight is more of a issue, or a melee build.
Her ability in a fight is very good, but since you can't recruit her to much later on her basic equipment hows itself up.
As I've posted elsewhere Cass - Hunting shotgun fully modded - slugs = a power house.
Give her a modded hunting rifle and she will switch to that for long range kill as well.

Its great, with the Whisky Rose perk, this is what you get -

+1 Charisma
+1 Strength
+2 DT

As often as you want, since there are no penalties for alcohol addiction. Its like two extra implants/bobbleheads in one bottle, whenever you need it! :foodndrink:

I think I would like to have her just by virtue of her being Cassidy's daughter. Cassidy in FO2 was awesome... almost as awesome as Sulik.

I find Cass to be the most useful fighting companion for my play style, and I like her perk. Veronica is my favorite, but she tends to be in my line of fire a lot punching things so can be annoying. Boone is of little use in close quarters like interiors. I've recently hired Raul but haven't yet run with him enough to really get a sense of his pros and cons. I didn't like Arcade so I didn't hire him. I haven't met Lily yet.

So it's usually Cass I find myself wandering around with.

C4 takes care of that job better than a stupid perk ever could.
