Probably my $800 computer that I built myself. I'm proud of it, and it was a monster improvement over my old computer.

Star Wars Battlefront II. I haven't really bought much in my life to this point, but I did buy that by myself, and that was probably the best game I've ever played

On a side note this is my 1000th post...hooray! :disco:

Hmm... Kingdom Hearts II? Baldur's Gate II? Civilization II? Dragon Quest VIII? Final Fantasy XII? Any one of the games that really kick-started my current love of video games and the RPG genre, in particular (Civilization excluded) would count... or should it then be my SNES? My PS2? PS2 even? I can't decide.

Getting a PSP for 25 dollars and a useless piece of cardboard that got even more useless one year later and getting an XBox 360 for free by winning 1000 dollars at the slots.

jks, in all seriousness the Alchemy Live DVD of Dire Straits was a pretty good investment, I still enjoy the show.

There isn't a single part of my anime collection I can think of that wouldn't fit this bill. Some parts more than others, but my collection in general is my greatest (and continually my greatest) purchase

I'm still pretty amazed that not only did I get the Borderlands GotY(four DLCs) for only $8, but I also got the entire GTA Classic pack(GTA 1, 2, 3, VC, SA) for about $14. Both on Steam.

I wouldn't know, I don't have many possessions that couldn't be fairly easily be replaced. I think my 50th anniversary edition of The Lord of the Rings may be my most valued possession. That, or my CD collection.

Not the others? Why would you only get the final part of the book? :P

Also, for some reason, your post shows more text for me while quoted than it did on the forums... Weird new forum skin.

Concerning the new weird forum skin, I can't seem to find the 'preview post' button any more, so I have no idea if this link is going to work.

Edit: Turns out it does, in a way.. But that was not quite what I intended.

My Xbox 360, I've gotten quite a lot of enjoyment out of it.
My Guitar Hero/Rockband games and the equipment and DLC songs I bought with them. Same thing, so much enjoyment out of them.
LOTRO and GW. Nearly 15,000 hours of entertainment when I was a bum. Some of my best (and worst) experiences have been in these games.

And at the top of the list...my car! It's an essential.

My trusty 4th gen 8gb iPod touch. It's got nowhere near enough storage space, but I love it all the same.
