What kind of character are you using for Dawnguard?

I'm not really sure which side my main character is going to side with... He is a barbarian sort of character that just started dabbling in the magical art of enchanting. Mostly thanks to one of his most trusted companions "Erandur" convincing him to give it a shot. If you were to take a look at him, you would probably think "he does not look like a vampire type of character" but I assure you his lust for power is unwavering! If he had a chance to become more powerful even if it means siding with the vampires he would probably do it. Plus I think he would look pretty bad ass with those glowing eyes! :biggrin: But I guess it really depends on what side has the greater benefits. After defeating Alduin, he has been longing for a new challenge! Perhaps these vampires could quench his need?

I'll likely be using my current character - a Nord Battlemage. Heavy armor, one-handed and destruction.
As a RPer, it'll be my character's choice as to which side she joins rather than mine. But judging by her life at the moment, I'd say the Dawnguard is more suited to her.

My main started as an Imperial Trader. Didn't realize at the time that trade skills were essential to maximizing a character, so I'm glad I choose what I did. I run around with an enchanted sword and board with 100% destruction mana reduction, so I can mage when I want to. Nice thing about trade skills is you can swap your character to pretty much any play style you want when you want, though I'm admittedly holding out for a respec option someday.

I'm going into the dlc with Garveshi, my vampiric Khajiit assassin. He is a master of dual-wielding daggers ( I just love daggers :)), loves light armor, master of alteration, illusion, and restoration so far. Also a true bow master and enjoys making heart-stopping poisons!

I'm ready to start hanging dawnguard in the gallows behind my soon-to-be castle. :disguise:

My vampire Breton necromage, My werewolf who is going to side with the Dawnguard, and my Vampire Hunter. Yep... Isilmo, Lucien, and Helsing. My names aren't that original now that I think about it.

Oh I forget to add this in my original post, but Bilal (werewolf) is a male Imperial who is almost even across the board, while Malik (vampire) is a male Altmer who is heavy into magic (no armors or weapons except for an enchanted elven dagger)

Edit, I think I'm going to Re-roll Bilal again and make him a pure warrior with NO magic putting everything into just health and stamina, it would make for a better werewolf atleast

Argonian Slayer.

One-Handed Swords: Need something to attack with up close. Plus I want to use Dawnbreaker for this DLC.

Light Armor(Argonian Buff): I hate heavy armor, plus I like the idea of my character being fast, and agile.

Alteration(Argonian Buff): Alteration Magic is just so awesome, and versatile. Plus the passive buffs to magic defense are great.

Restoration(Argonian Buff): Great for defense, and I love the idea of being a healer on the side. Being able to heal people is just awesome to me, and it doesn't hurt that I can use anti undead spells. Also Regeneration+Histskin is amazing.

Archery: Archery is just fun, and I like to be versatile. Also it would feel like a waste not using those new crossbows.

Conjuration: Conjured Bows are amazing, plus I like the thought of summoning huge creatures to fight for me.

My level 33 Breton TG/DB assassin character. Dual wield with some training in archery. I'm gonna have to raise that eventually.

Maybe my Imperial light armor sword and board that can still handle archery just fine that I just started (good guy, will do civil war, main quest, Meridia's quest to get Dawnbreaker, no guilds).

But chances are I will start a new character: the new weapons and armors will be enought to start over I think (for RP), plus there might be new perks for those weapons and possibly new skill trees also. New character for the win.

I'm levelling 2;

A dawnguard - loyal imperial with One handed, Destruction, Restoration, Archery, Enchanting and heavy armour - basically a pure undead hunter.

A vampiric breton death knight with one handed, conjuration (necromancy), heavy armour, smithing, and either destruction or illusion.

I've got a Bosmer assassin, maxed out sneak, can use either bow or daggers, and I'm not really sure which faction I'm going to join with him yet.
I've also got a Nord Armorer/Battle Axer, who is totally holy and stuff so he'll be with the Dawn Guards.
Lastly, I've got a Vampiric Altmer Mage, who's going to side with the Vampires (obviously).

I also have a Bosmer assassin focusing on the use of the bow and dual wielding daggers. With my maxed archery skill I will probably go for the Dawnguard because of their use of the crossbow.

My main character is a level 51 Nord who I've always played on the good side, so he's going Dawnguard.

I have 2 other characters, a level 42 Breton Mage who would do anything in the name of research and a level 33 Dunmer Assassin.

I've always liked the idea of a Dunmer vampire.

Dawnguard;
Cirroc Rackham, Redguard dual-weilder (swords)
Lorkmir Red-Wind, Nord 2H warrior (axes)
Guilbert Maric, Breton mage (conjuration/destruction)
Dathus Vivyne, Dunmer Battlemage (swords, destruction)

I have plenty of other characters who might also foot the bill for the Dawnguard in terms of their RP. I'll have to learn more about them before I really decide though...As for the vampires, I don't have many characters who I think wouldconsider joining them at the moment (and that's saying something considering I have 10 characters), but I'll definitely get around to making some.
