What kind of character are you using for Dawnguard?

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:02 am

I rolled a new character who is basically a combat archer, with decent sneak ability, and pretty good with sword and board in light armor. He also is great with alchemy.

What about you?

I started relatively not long ago a mage that would eventually become a vampire so...

Currently I plan to use my TG/DB character, who is a female wood-elf Thief/Assassin trained in Light Armour, Alchemy, One Handed and Marksmen.

Right now I'm training an Altmer mage in Illusion, destruction, restoration, enchanting, and conjuration. I may train up alteration a bit but i want to save on perks for the Vampire lord skills. I'm also deciding if i will get my sneak up for when i turn him into a vampire.

An Argonian that uses One-Handed, Block, Light Armor, Archery and Alteration. He doesn't use a shield, he just parries with the Sword. He starts battles with an Armor spell, and uses a bow to soften enemies up from a distance (I will replace it with a crossbow when the DLC hits), then the battle usually finishes with a sword kill cam.
He is Chaotic Good, so naturally he's going to join the Dawnguard.

I take it most of you so far are siding with the vamps? I think I might go Dawnguard, but I also think maybe a heavy armor warrior is better suited for that. I don't know.

Have three waiting,

first is a nord warrior, one handed, archery, heavy armor, and conjuration. Pretty much the generic "dovahkiin"

second is my breton mage who uses light armor destruction, one handed, and conjuration

And lastly is an argonain thief who uses alchemy, light armor, onehanded sneak, and archery

I'll probably do dawngaurd with the nord, and go with the vamps with the mage.

My crusader will be joining the dawnguard and I might start a new char for the vampire side, probably a dark elf or imperial spellsword.

I plan on continuing with my level 64 battlemage on master difficulty but I worry being such a high level will ruin the experience, in the opinion of any who may read this do you think i should create a new character? Or perhaps change to a lower level, for example 30?

Probably my three mains.

My Altmer Bard/Beguiler. He's all about sneaking, alteration, illusion, one-handed, & speech. And he's a vampire.

My Bosmer Combat Archer. She focuses on heavy armor, sneak, archery, alchemy, & smithing. She's a werewolf.

And my Nord Legionnaire. He's built around one-handed, block, light armor, enchanting, & speech.

My Nord's going to join the Dawnguard, for certain. The Altmer will obviously side with the vampires, & well I wager the Bosmer'll go Dawngaurd as well.

I am going to make a new character but he or she will have been made a vampire by my current vampire who wants to make it his mission to be able to have that bat form.

My Dunmer Assassin and Pseudo-Warrior. He used to think he's doing good deeds but really, all through his combat career, he's done nothing but hurt. Opposite of his doctor career. I'll most likely side with the Dawnguard as to redeem my actions.

I really don't know yet. I will most likely start a new character when the DLC is released. The possibilities are endless. I have made 12 different characters with the console commands and transferred them to my 360 for IF I am selected to join the Beta. Otherwise the DLC will give me a good reason to actually do the MQ and the CW questline.

I assure you there will be a variety of characters. I will probably start with a Dual Sword Imperial Female Vampire. Specializing in Illusion, Conjuration and 1H.

can't choose weather to us my imperial battle mage or my bosmer thief/assassin my assassin would is focused on archery, illusion, one handed, and sneak and i would likely side with the vamps as him but my battle mage uses one handed, conjuration, destructution, restoration, and heavy armor since i play him as a good guy he will most likely be siding with the dawngaurd

My Argonian that utilizes Nightingale Armor with the uncursed Ring of Hircine. Level 100 sneak with 98 light armor, 72 Archery, 95 pickpocketing, 69 lockpicking (still haven't given back the Skeleton Key hehe). I always do good deeds for NPC's but end up stabbing them in the back....literally. Did I mention I'm a thief-assassin?

my character is a female Dunmer, who is also a vampire sorceress but she is a bit stealthy as well .
If she is cornered and her mana runs out she will pull out her daggers or her bow .

70% mage
20% sneak
5% bow
5% daggers

she is a MASTER of all magic types mostly uses destruction (lightning and frost) 90% of the time and raises the dead when necessary
but her restoration is meek .

I've got a Bosmer assassin, maxed out sneak, can use either bow or daggers, and I'm not really sure which faction I'm going to join with him yet.
I've also got a Nord Armorer/Battle Axer, who is totally holy and stuff so he'll be with the Dawn Guards.
Lastly, I've got a Vampiric Altmer Mage, who's going to side with the Vampires (obviously).

Well i have 3 characters that are my "canon" ones and all exist in the same game world only my nord warrior is the dragonborn so he'll probably do it, but i also have an imperial assassin who i might make do the vampire side just for fun, maybe even include my breton mage and say he and the nord served in the dawnguard together. I'll have to see how the dlc plays out though before any official decisions are made.
