What kind of class are you going to make?

Post » Thu Mar 14, 2013 9:11 am

Im loving all the possibilitys of different classes you could make on this, which is unlike most mmorpgs. Which makes me wonder what classes people are planning on making on their first character.

I think my first character will be a caster/2h with light armour, or a caster/bow user :) what about you guys?

I will likely make a dragonknight and though the roles are really loose I will be playing strictly with heavy armor and specialize in dealing damage with a 2 hand sword and either a sword and shield or bow for my offhand weapon. I always play heavy armor 2 hand damage classes, even in skyrim and oblivion.

2 1h sword using warrior ( probaly dragon knight, im going to check their skills before i make the character) , light armor , sneaking (Mostly going to be lightly armored warrior but maxing sneaking could be very effective) , smithing , enchanting , crafting.

Just going to rush for endgame build before i start enjoying the game as PvP and RP

Not going to troll you as there hasn't been a thread made on what character's we will make for a few days, but keep in mind there is a search bar function, and I don't think it would be a sin to bring up one of the ones that's a few days old.

As for my class(es):

I'm dead set on making a heavy armor rogue, even if I end up deleting it in the end, rage quiting, finding out that sneaking in heavy armor svcks majorly, or getting trolled endlessly. That combination seems the least likely, and because of that will be interesting to try out.

I'll certainly do these though:
medium armored warrior type class - dual wield
medium/heavy armored typ warrior class with 2 handed swords
heavy armored mage, mostly spellcasting + heals
heavy armored archer, that switches between long range fighting, and then engages in close combat once the opponent has drawn near. If there are one-handed ranged weapons + shields as combinations, I'll probably stick to that.

After that just the typical MMO steretypical classes, as there's not too much that hasn't been overly done outside of that.

yeah, most people don't want to read through over 100 posts that just get off topic anyways as this one already has.

depends...
most likely Templar

what comes to my mind when thinking about weapons is:
  • dual Maze*
  • Maze and Shield
  • Restoration Staff
  • Illusion Staff**

*if mazes involve healing
**if there is an illusion staff for CC

armor will be a mix of Heavy and Robe
(hopefully I can get a "Dark Angels" look
something like http://gamersguild.co/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/Dark-angel.jpg without the sword)

Could be effective but they might add greater chance of detection to those who wear heavy armor as it was working like that on skyrim (the sound)

Lol, yep... something tells me sneaking around going "clink clink clink" doesn't work very well. Hopefully they have a Muffle spell, or perhaps a potion that helps those of heavier armor.

don't know about that but stealth will consume loads of stamina and in heavy armor you don't have much stamina, so good luck...

Mage for life. And I mean FOR LIFE.

The only game I didn't roll some kind of mage in every time was Skyrim, and that's because Bethesda nerfed magic to Aetherius and back in Skyrim.

But this time I'll be all about Dunmer/Altmer mages. The only time I'll deviate from that is trying out an orc warrior during beta.

makes me wonder, could multiboxing really work with all the finesse system?

like I said before, each and ever class may be archer.
so what's it gonna be? physical-dmg archer, magical-dmg archer, healing archer, tanky archer or CC archer?

I am really hoping to make a sneaky healer type...

Light Armor, might mix and match armor types so I can be more flexible once I am leveled to go to cyrodiil and PvP without the level boosting crap...
Dual shortswords or daggers
Restoration, hope I don't have to lug around a healing staff
The pet Perk so I can have pets
Enchanting for my crafting
Stealth
Speechcraft

and whatever else I can cram into that character type...

Sure, two character should be ok me thinks, long as i keep both characters within the required level range i can play them separately some days.

I'll sus out a good system. :D

I've found most archers to be quite good in mmo's especially if you can kite.

Im going to create a Khajiit that uses a two-handed sword that wear a heavy armor, a bow when enemies are far or for stealth, and some fire magic.

I would want to make a sneaky Deathknight based character. Shield and sword medium armor, Destruction ice and necro spells(if there's any) And dual dagger as my secondary weapon. My character would be a nord vampire.

Edit: i don't know what class would I pick for this build, Perhaps a sorcerer for the destruction and conjuration spells.
