What major bugs were fixed in Dawnguard?

Was the save file bloat glitch fixed? Can we play our old first characters without the game freezing all the time?

Probably better to just wait until tomorrow because there will be bug fixes in the DLC itself when it's released.

Well there was some glitches that cause Save file gloat that were fixed in the patch. Such as the atomic nirnroot. The latest patch turned my 21mg file sized character down to 18. Its still bloated but hey, the patch did something.

If you are talking about the bloat save from atomic nirnroot, then that was fixed with patch 1.6. Dawnguard doesn't actually "fix" vanilla issues. All of those would be addressed in official patches and not really in a DLC.

DLCs don't patch any bugs, the official patches do things like that. Check the 1.6 patch notes.

Did you download the newest patch? It fixes the atomic nirnroot. Also did you try waiting 30 days in-game?

Have you tried clearing the game and system cache? I googled for some info and it keeps saying to clear system and game cache.

There you go. I'd take over to a friends house and get the latest patch.

This is excellent advice.

I always clear after every play secession or every 6 hrs of continuous play.

He did so well for 281 hours with no bugs. I just don't want my main character to die.

Ok basically when you launch the game, hold down the LB and the RB and the X button. Once you get to the main menu you can let button go.

Really? I had no idea that worked. I usually go into the Desktop >Settings >System >Clear System Cache, or something like that.

That clears your system's cache, there's a way to clear the actual game's cache as well. :)

I believe it's just simply a way to clear the Skyrim cache without having to clear every single game's cache entirely, since it can be a pain to have to re-patch every single game you play.

Isn't that the same thing? Am I not clearing the game cache when I clear the system? Have I been doing it wring?

Or are you saying that clearing the system will clear all games, updates and DLC from other games as well, while doing the RB/LB thing will just clear Skyrim. Because I need to redownload any DLC after I have done that.
