What mods would you like to see?

Post » Mon May 30, 2011 1:52 pm

Either completely new mods or ones from FO3, which ones would you like to see? My top three would be:

1. Tailor Maid. Able to add clothing piece by piece from different outfits.

2. Hair pack, new hair, yay

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1146

3. Wearable backpacks. Simply for aesthetic/RP reasons, but they do allow you to carry more weight.

I know it will probably take a while for anyone to come out with any mods, i just hope people actually bother.

PC oriented UI mod is all it needs. High res texturepack would be nice but not necessary by any means. Anything else... nah.

I only want gameplay mods, that add more to the already rich content of the game (assuming those mods are bug/glitch free!).

PC orientated UI as soon as possible, and probably a radio expansion mod after a while.

That's only the basics of course. :P

It would be nice if some Fo3 mods could be ported to FNV. It will be interesting to see what kind of comparability issues there may be. Definitely looking forward to some new mods as well, given the new features like hardcoe, the Companion Wheel and moddable weapons. I hope to see some of those expanded upon at least.

20th Century, Sprint, Grenade Hotkey, body replacers for both genders, various outfit mods and the Groovatron. Oh, and Feng Shui is a must have.

Another one like the GNR More Where That Came From: I want more music. Country Western please! :D Really, if I had to only pick one mod from FO3, that'd be it. But since this is a wish list...

Cowboy-themed mods would be appropriate here. Armor (clothing at least), weapons, hats! It'd be fun if some horses survived and were bred (walking kinda gets old). Quests that have more story to them (like some of the chained faction-based quests in Morrowind) would be great. I like graphics-polishing mods, but they aren't a necessity for me.

nvde replacers for male and female. come on, you find a dead slave, wearing a strap of leather and not much else. Take that off, and they have full-on Calvin vest and boxers on underneath? Whaaaat? Did you feel so guilty about robbing them that you dressed them up? Stupid - this game features cannabalism, heads blown off, drug addicts, yet no nudity. First thing that needs fixing.

Lings Coiffure - because I want my hat again :mohawk:

More New Vegas Radio mod - so I can play as much music as I like (don't worry, I keep it on theme)

DarnUI - I liked having the radcount available on screen at all times.

--

Guess - project beauty and high-rez landscape eventually. But those four are my primary ones.

Depends on what the PC UI looks like. We know that Obsidian have some of the few developers who actually care about that stuff. ^_^

Fellout( let it be night!)
Grenade,Sprint,bullet time.
Texture upgrades.
Weapon and armor packs
Warhammer armor(hope you guys make another mod cause I loved my legion of doom armor in falllout3).
nvde body replacer
.craft and caliber

I dont know the entirety of what hardcoe mode will do and by how much so I may use a mod instead since I can adjust the values.

More hair, more eyes, better body, better skin textures, default clothes fit to the new body, new clothes.... I'd say Clear Skies but NV doesn't seem to have D.C.'s haze problem. I've actually never used DaRN's FO3 ui, so I'm used to the default. :)

FWE, MMM, adventures's in the style of pucemoose's amazing quest-mods, world expansions (Arefu Expanded comes to mind), Seducing Women (It's so well done, that it really adds a great tweak to the game), and Hi-Res retextures!

These for starters. Hair and eyes always seem to be lacking.

For body and clothes I hope we see something closer to the Oblivion HGEC for New Vegas. The various FO3 ones weren't bad, but not nearly as well done as HGEC. Maybe it had more to do with skeleton and rigging used in FO3(?), but it never seemed to look and feel as natural and proportioned.

Aside from that really have to wait and see what is available in the base game. I'm sure I'll make my own personal vault at some point to use as a player home. Seeing what the mod community imagines up though is always about as near as exciting to me as waiting to get the actual game. :woot:

Mods like DC interiors project, (I want to be able to go into more buildings)

After that, I'm not sure. It really depends on what's in the game, and whats been left out.
Of course mods that add more weapons, cloths and other collectable junk.
A few well done quest mods like Fall From Heaven, etc.

Exactly. Beyond "true damage threshold", I can't think of any other mod that I really want at this stage, because I don't know what's actually in. It might be that MMM's main features are already integrated, so MMM would be redundant.

For Sure Blackwolf's Backpack Mod, but I wish there were backpacks modeled after like a school backpack not a military/hiking backpack to add to the wasteland feel. and DLC to come out sooner rather than later!

One mod that I would REALLY love to see for FO: NV is a mod from Oblivion called "Speedy Deposit". Basically, you would cast a spell on a container and configure it to hold certain items you wanted to be deposited in it like potions or whatever. (I'm not sure how you would do the whole spell thing in Fallout, but maybe through an activator of some type?) But anyway, you could configure all of your containers in an area so that you could drop in to your home, cast one spell and sort all of your loot/weapons/armor etc in one click WITHOUT repairing the repairable items. I know there are sorters out there that use the computer terminals, but there are a couple of problems with them that I never liked. Mainly, the fact that your armor or weapons you are storing gets repaired when you sort them. But you can't configure them to NOT take the items you don't want them to take. I loved that mod for Oblivion!

I will definitely be making at least one player home for myself, but possibly a few. And I also plan on making another "trail of crumbs" type mod for FO:NV. And, if I can get someone good with scripting and quests to partner with me, I would love to make a radio expansion mod where you search for songs (holotapes of music) that you take back to the DJ to play on the air. I already have a very talented former professional DJ from a local radio station who will do the voice work for me for the actual DJ. And I already have about 50 or so songs downloaded, all from either country & western, 40's & 50's like Sinatra or The Ink Spots, some boogie jazz tunes and the like. Basically, stuff like GNR.

If I can just get the help I need with the scripting and quest setup (I svck at that part!) it just might be pretty dang good.

First off a multiplayer mod would rock.

Secondly id like to see various backpacks that can carry more.

Without playing the game yet ill just say expanded weapon mods.

I really like the fabrication of new items in this game so id say more on that.

A vehicle mod would be nice as well too. I loved interstate 76 where you fought with the armed cars but could scavenge the weapons, parts and even the cars to build what you wanted.

DCInteriors will be continued into New Vagus, well It will now be called "NVInteriors Project" but, be assured that I'll be taking on the project. I will not be trying to port over existing work, as always every new interior will be a unique place to explore.

I've already gotten my pre-order in and, if the new GECK is shipped with the game, I plan on starting the mod about a week after the games release. I want to play a little to get myself familiarized a bit before diving in.

I'm still going to work on DCInteriors, maintaining and, updating it. It will not die just because I've gotten my hands on a "Shiny new toy."

- Enhanced graphics (landscape, interiors and characters)
- Take all the games' companions with you at the same time
- A large tent with all the bells and whistles and a fire camp where you can rest and sit around with your companions
- Even more music from that time period
- An even better third person mode for aiming?
- The possibility to get...

If I wanted to interact with trash-talking thirteen year olds, I'd volunteer at a summer camp.

Why would you need a mod for that? We've already known that Gommorah will have prosttutes who you can bonk. Unless you mean something sixually explicit like, say, animated prostitution?

*I have not actually been following the dev cycle on this game, so no idea really what is or is not in the works.

MMM. I love MMM, Oblivion, Fallout3, I cant play either without.

Backpack

reskins, especially for clutter; batteries, posters, soap, etc.

Depending on how the Sniper situation plays out, probably a better scope reticle, and preferably a zoom.

More craftable crap. Still waiting for the ability to craft a functional FatMine.

More weapons, WMK, more armors

assorted game tweaks like faster move speed, jump height, etc.

Extended radio

etc.

Mods roxxorz my soxxorz.

And my new PC should be here just a day or two before release! Woot. Now if only I can figure out how to get the Steam preorder crap since I pre-ordered the CE via GameStop.
