what new shouts would you like to have

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 7:22 am

Am I the only one staring at this thread, scratching my head at the fact that OP simply said "mist call" and never even bothered to explain the mechanics of it or what it does, yet everyone says "omg that'd be amazing?"

I think everyone's imagination was instantly captured by it and assumed everyone had the same vision for it.
Mine is that it would summon a thick cloud of mist that obscures visibility and dampens sound, not just letting you assassinate silently, but if the room is big enough engage individual enemies without alerting all the enemies to your exact location.

I was thinking Mist Call would be something like:

Spoiler
The mist Alduin uses in Sovngarde.

Looks like some of us are thinking different things.

lol, wait- how is it NOT logical to want to call a light mist to your aid... No one likes their clothing lightly moistened- enemies would flee.

You win simply for making a Majin Buu Reference lol DBZ FOR LIFE!...Could you imagine a combo between Buu and the Mad God...WOW...now that would be interesting lol.

BACK ON TOPIC!

A possession shout, as mentioned above would be AWESOME so would the badass vortex (although it is a little, Avatar the Last Airbender to me haha) the problem with the possession one is that it may screw up the faction system and codes of the possessed after you leave them. Unless you mean more like a mind control thing in which you take over their mind and can make them follow you or trade things with you or whatever. ooo that's a good idea

MIND CONTROL! You shout and your victim's will is bent to your own. You can make them follow you, or even take from their inventory. You can possess 3 people at once (one person per word) and it should have a very long cool-down time.

Mirage: Make 6 identical dragonborn illusions (2 per word) that confuse enemies making them attack them, leaving them open to your attacks (it could work cause one of the Gaulderson bosses uses it)

Dragon Rage: Dragonborn (1st word) takes 20% less damage but deals 10% more, (2nd word) Dragonborn Takes 50% less damage but deals 25% more (3rd word) Dragonborn takes 80% less damage but deals 40% more (the problem I foresee with this is when mixed with Orc beserking it could make the player WAY too powerful.

ummm I'm out for now haha.

Mirage. [censored] yes.

Other than creating a fog you could sneak around in, what else could it mean...?

A Resurrection Shout- Bringing someone back to life-- COMPLETELY (soul intact)
I think that this shout would be too much overpowered. I mean, they could make an single-use item that did this, but a rechargeable shout... idk

A shout that reduces PS3's network to utter crap...oh wait! Sony already has that handled. :goodjob:
Maybe a shout that affect all fan.boys and force them to write crap about "rival" companies' consoles on a Skyrim forum... oh wait...

A shout that makes all NPC's in the game naked.

OOH-LA-LA. :blush2:

What I would really like but, is a shout that got rid of at least half of the already existing ones.

I wouldn't mind a shout that, when used, would summon a portal on each side of your opponent that has two massive arms reach out and rip them asunder (think DA II trailer).

Here's some of the shouts I want, with a little explanation as to how they'd work:

Fire and Frost Breath (Streaming version): The same as Fire and Frost Breath, and learned at the same time, but instead of shooting a fireball or frostball, you shoot a stream of fire or frost like dragons usually do.

Tornado Whirl: Your Thu'um summons a vortex that will draw enemies into it before flinging them in various directions. The tornado grows in size and strength the more words you use, pulling enemies from further and throwing them farther.

Kyne's Tears: Your Thu'um opens holes in the clouds, causing rain to fall. Essentially Storm Call without the danger of killing your followers or random passerby for people who just want to make it rain. Duration increases the more words used.

Shrouded Fog: Your Thu'um conjures a veil of mist, making it easier for you to slip by undetected. Duration increases the more words used.

Earth Shake: Your Thu'um causes an earthquake, staggering all but the strongest of foes. Duration and strength increases the more words used.

Strife: Your Thu'um is a whisper that will make even the closest of friends turn on each other. Similar to Throw Voice, except instead of making enemies look for you, they argue with one another and insult each other in humorous ways. Duration increases the more words used.

Unlocking Shout (Can't think of a name): A shout that unlocks doors and chests. Isn't guaranteed to work, but the likelihood of success increases the more words are used. We've seen this in the game already, but I'd like it to become more available for us to use.

Dovahkiin Decoy: Create a shade of yourself that opponents will attack for a while. Duration and the amount of damage it can sustain before fading increases the more words used. Again, we've seen something similar to this in the game.

Dovah Decoy: Your Thu'um conjures a shade of a dragon that will distract people, allowing you to sneak by or attack them while they don't pay attention to you. Can fly around and land, but won't attack. Duration and the amount of damage it can sustain before fading increases the more words used.

I would like a "Chicken Dumpling" shout, so that no matter where I am in Skyrim, I can just shout "Chicken Dumpling" and when I get home my wife will have one ready.

Army of Skeevers shout...creates a mob of 10 or so skeevers to attack your foes. That's 10 per word :)

A teleportation shout. You can aim the shout in whatever direction and mark a location maybe and each words increases the distance you can teleport. Also if you aim at an enemy you will instantly appear behind them but this means a slightly longer recharge time.

A shout that adds to you agility. Movement, swim speed, jumping distance/height. I really miss the bonus you got when a vampire in Oblivion.
