I didn't mind Blops Zombies for a while, but it just made me wanna go back to Left4Dead - That had some insanely competetive MP in it's first 6 months, before everyone started wanting you to play the game using their exact strategies.... Snore.... And Left4Dead 2 had almost no Aussie community because of just how draconian the editing done to the game was, just to get it into our childish rating systems.

My new gaming PC will be arriving shortly so lots of evenings of the original Crysis will be in store and Crysis Wars along with Company of Heros.

Talking bout PC games, anyone here played much of Hero's of Newerth? I used to be obsessed with Dota and played HoN at my brother's house on the weekend and it looked great and ran pretty well, but it wasn't enough to get a feel for the characters and game itself...

Halo:Reach is horribly boring now, there is no drive to improve when you start going positive by 9 to 10 kills a winning match.

CoD:Black Ops is a lot of dumb fun, but it is also a bit boring. Little drive to improve.



Tenchu Z will always make me feel better whenever I shave a second off a run in a mission. I always see and feel improvement.
Halo Reach, Halo 3, Bad Company 2, used to try and play Gears 2 but I can never get a match and the lag makes Crysis 2 look perfect, Bulletstorm campaign.

MW2, Reach, Bad Company 2, Crysis 2 (haha) and Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

All of them are great games.

But Crysis 2 is the best of all of course... ;P

@JustDaveMan - Civ Rev has great mechanics for a console turnbased Strategy, I might have to check out RUSE now that you mention it, I've tried a fair few of the console Strategy games but for the most part the controller mechanics just make playing a chore.

@Askokami - They patched the Predator Disk within a few weeks of release and lowered the cooldown by a fair bit, they also made it almost impossible to get the 3 kills from one disk launch that happened in the first few weeks. KR4KKEN has a point about that Alien tail spam though, almost everyone swapped from the Pred Disk to the Alien after the patch, but I've found that it is fairly wasy to overcome just with some straight up Marine assault rifle spammage or a nice healthy shotgun blast.

I swear, AVP had 3 of the best MP game modes ever, Predator Hunt, Alien Hunt and Species Team Death Match....

Yeh I love Civ Rev but its not great for a quick game. You need to plan your evening out just to play 1 game haha.

RUSE has great controls for a console. You press Y and command list comes up and you just scroll through and select one. Rather than going round trying to find where you put your damn barracks or something haha. Theres no visible fog of war ( I hate looking at black or darkened maps) Unit selection is easy and you can zoom out really far to control your whole army or zoom in really close to position an ambush perfectly in a town or forest. Campaign is a bit weak but its the multiplayer which really gets you svcked in.

@JustDaveMan - Sir, you have sold me on Ruse, I will certainly be looking for a copy next time I go looking for games, or if C2 isn't actually patched by the middle of April I'll be trading it in for that.... gonna tell a couple of my strategy gaming mates about it too, so if I get a little community going I'll let you know, that is if you want more peeps on your list for some Console Strategy MP!!
