What platform(s) are you buying C2 for?

Post » Fri Jun 18, 2010 9:57 am

@Dip92
I hate to inform you of this, but you're being horribly mislead. Look up a list of all games' true native resolution for 360 and PS3. PS3 almost NEVER runs games in NATIVE 1080p, as doesn't the Xbox 360.

I will be getting the PC version. I will also be playing it in glorious TRUE 1080p.

I love my beast of a PC.

I'll be picking it up for the PS3. Got really busy with life in general over the last couple years and my pc is likely now underpowered to get it for the pc. Between work, wife, son and friends I've turned into a casual gamer.
I'm pretty certain my pc will be more then enough for the first Crysis game though. Just need to get a copy of it.

I ordered it for PS3. Well, not pre-ordered, but will buy it.

@Laz0r:
Apparently you've never played a console that has mature players. Try PS3. Besides, I have internet on my PS3 and some programs but PCs cost 4x more, not to hate on them. I love Steam. It's not better than PSN or anything.

Yes. Most games on the PS3 are running on 720p or 600p, and upscaled to 1080i. It's not 1080p after upslacing, it's 1080i :p

Lololololololoololololololololol

There are people in this thread that think consoles can natively support HD resolutions without an upscaler.

Oh please. Both the PS3 and the 360 have a (very good, by the way) upscaler. The picture goes out of the system sub-720p because the tiny little GPUs can't handle it.

PlayStation 3 of course for many obvious reasons with one being that the cell processor gives PlayStation 3 a technical advantage in the visual department because of this reason below...

another being PlayStation 3 supports native hd & here's the proof below by youtube user whip3ou7....

I don't know if you researched about ray tracing, but it's not PS3 exclusive technology, in fact you can use in good PCs using 3ds Max, but you get to low FPS's, and the new Fermi GPUs are totally ray tracing capable

A Fermi GPU doing real time ray tracing

3 Playstations 3 together doing real time ray tracing

And ray-tracing continues impossible in games. And Crysis 2 Global Lightning and some other ray tracing features are PC exclusive because one PS3 processor can't handle the game and these features

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. They upscale the graphics to run in 1080. Before being upscaled though, they do not run in that resolution. I guess as long as the video has been upscaled they can legally say it's 1080p.

I'll be getting it for PS3, although I have a laptop that can handle the first one at medium settings. I think the game will run better on my PS3, and I am used to using a PS3 controller.

Why all the arguments as to which system is better or who has what? Just play the damn game and enjoy it. No need to smack talk or verbally run a person or system down.
I've owned gaming systems and consoles. They each have their negatives.

Can we also stop assuming that everyone with a console loves COD/MW or is 13yrs old?
