That's Pre-rendered, not ral time ray tracing, Gran Turismo 5 have a ray-tracing garage but not that.
The PS3 it's an incredible sistem, it's from 2006-07 and it keeps well until today, but from 2007 to nowadays we improved a hell lot on PCs

ps3 first and if i decide later on 360. ps3 almost always handles physics better which is what im more worried about right now than graphics because either way youll only notice the difference between the 2 if there side by side i have both systems and both have good graphics.on topof that crtek has already stated that so far they get better performance out of the ps3 but get what ever version youre comfortable with.

I understand your argument here, but in the first video he isn't saying anything about GAME resolution. Yes PS3 is capable of producing a true 1080p image when it's a Blu-Ray movie or an image file. The games on the other hand are not in 1080p. Do your research. The system simply isn't powerful enough to run the games at playable framerates in true 1080p.

It was concluded years ago that consoles cant render games in true 1080P. I dont see what all the huss fuss is about now.

Yeah I don't mean to make a big deal. Just trying to set the record straight. So many people even today still have no idea. I don't even play my consoles anymore honestly. PC is just so much more superior. My 360 looks like utter garbage on my TV compared to the PC.

PS3 and if I finally get a new PC then on PC as well but for now PS3 only.

@daniel.klein your wrong the lighting & shadows are not baked in with gran turismo 5 & ps3 is powerful enough to do irt with cell processor & is
irt capable.@Talon95 yes the PlayStation 3 can do games in native 1080p & has them already & don't try to deny it i've played the gran turismo 5 time trail demo it's unscaled 1080p hd.A lot of denial & misinformed people about playstation 3's capabilities.I have provided sound proof & none of the people that have disagreed with me have provided any sound proof what so ever.This just proves their either misinformed or in sheer denial but either way their talking out their back side.

PC of course, 2 copies on dvd(for me and by bro) and 1 as download maybe. Giving my current PC for my bro(which already plays crysis on very high) since he currently plays on ps3(which from my experience svcks) and gona make a new rig.

Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying. They upscale the graphics to run in 1080. Before being upscaled though, they do not run in that resolution. I guess as long as the video has been upscaled they can legally say it's 1080p.[/quote]So thats why I always look at games and say "This game needs AA <_<"

crysi 2 +console = FAIL

I love the PS3, but Crysis it's not a port like BC2, RE5 and Assassins CreedII, so it is always better on PC

@CorruptSoul not all games are upscaled in 1080p on playstation 3 because playstation 3 has games unscaled in 1080p hd like gran turismo 5.The box dose not imply it's unscaled 1080p hd only that it can be scaled to 1080p hd.Often people misinterpret the information on the back of the game case.The game will natively scale according to what ever the developer has set resolution at weather it's 720p,1080i or 1080p then that's what you get before upscaling the games that are not native to the other resolution settings.

gotta be on PC... just like Crysis... if your going to play it, play it too the full

For the majority of games, they are upscaled to 1080P. The amount of games on console in 1080p can be counted on one hand. Not to mention that the 360 can't do a successful 1080p game at all...

Consoles really need a new generation. They struggle to do 1080p at all (often sacrificing graphics for resolution), and this really should be something standard in this day and age.

Only the lazy & inexperienced developers not the experience developers that actually put effort into their games.The developers that make games exclusive to playstation 3 always seem to push the playstation 3 further & harder then the other developers making multiplatform games do.

Crytek better make their first impression when the final version launches count or expect poor sales on the playstation 3 because us playstation 3 gamers have high expectations after crytek hype the hell out of this game & if it can't live up to the hype then expect a hail storm of angry posts on these threads playstation 3 owners.

@thatsonyguy1981 you must understand that no matter how the ps3 is awsome, it's from 2006, and the best hardware in 2006 can not stand against the new hardware like the Fermi cards (I'm not a Nvidia fanboy just an example) I understand that you love the PS3, and it's a very nice console, but unlikely the pcs that are renewing from month to month, it just keep getting older an older, so Stop trolling and spamming the forum with your angry against everything that is not a PS3

Crytek is optimizing for each system... Haven't you seen the CryEngine 3 videos? There are no real PC footage (1 second clips dont count) either, but you don't see us jumping to the conclusion that it won't be optimized.
