What is right with you?

No glasses or braces.

I have an awesome girlfriend.

My car is running.

I'm ontop of my bills.

I love my job (though I am looking for a 2nd).

Yeah, its a social fad for intolerant people who have a need to feel better than everyone else.

Yeah totally, I mean why else would anyone not want to drink something that [censored]s up your liver, and in large enough amounts makes people utter [censored]s. (ssuming they arent before drinking).

You want to drink, fine I have no issue. I have issues with drunk people, not people who can control themselves. I know plenty of people who drink, I dont feel superior. Its funny you talk about intolerance, then go and make stupid (and annoying) assumptions about people who dont have the same lifestyle as you.

@TeeHee:3,

So you're the one who made the "What's wrong with you thread"? Haha.
Anyway, I have perfect teeth as well. I'm told I'm really smart, see things no one else sees, and I'm devilishly good looking. :D

i hope you're not generalizing here, it's about principles and self-control. if people love to make up excuses when they're sober, i sure as hell don't trust them when they're drunk. they are the kind of people that are [censored]s when they've consumed enough alcohol, and it's mostly because they allow themselves to act [censored]

Some tastes nice, great feeling, I'd rather have a short fun life (60 years maybe) than a long boring one scared of getting cancer from the menopause, and I'm a lovely person while drunk.

And I didn't make assumptions about people that don't drink, have no problem with people that don't drink (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17c5gWcoEcE&feature=related), but instead have a problem with people that identify as straight edge, which is both self-righteous and arrogant and makes about as much sense as me forming an organised social movement for people that eat cheese.

Dosent feel great imo.
Other things taste better imo.
If you need lcohol to have fun, you must have quite a horrible life. You cn enjoy yourself without it, not drinking dosent make you boring.

Thats understandable, nd I agree it can be annoying. Not all people who identify with it re annoying, but I see your point.

I think I must've read a different topic: did someone say you need alcohol to have fun and that people who don't drink are boring? Maybe some people just enjoy it, in the same way you could substitute chocolate, shoes, lithographs, carrots etc. Enjoying something doesn't mean you need it, but not needing it doesn't mean you should forego it either.

Straight Edge types are sanctimonious, tedious gits though.

Agreed. I can enjoy myself without alcohol. Just because I like to drink it to further enjoy myself, that's not a problem. Just like I don't have a problem with people who don't drink.

I've never met a straight edge person who is a"sanctimonious, tedious git." The ones I know are all just as ready to party with everyone, just with their non-alcoholic drinks. They go clubbing, go to house parties, and they don't preach. It's unfair to tar them all with the same brush.

So this is on-topic: I have nice legs, I think. Well at least I used to.

I couldn't think of anything more boring than going to a club or bar and not drinking. They svck, they're only tolerable when you're pissed. It would just depress me if I was sober.

A good bar is good regardless. The kind of place you can shoot the breeze with friends and listen to good music at a volume that won't explode your eardrums. Although put me in a good bar and I'll instantly head to the bar.

Clubs? Meh. I've gone, plenty of times, and will likely go again, but it's usually at about 1am, everybody is drunk and we all just want to prolong the night.

All of a sudden I'm completely confused as to which thread I'm posting in. This isn't a booze thread. :bonk:

Fair enough. I agree with you on clubs. They're very meh to me. Full of pretence and flaunting, doesn't do it for me. I much prefer social drinking.

The clubs I go to are usually just full of scantily clad women and rowdy men all throwing up and punching each other. Usually at the same time.

Those I've encountered online have tended to be like that; I think one could be forgiven for concluding that's what they're about, but if I'm mistaken, I stand to be corrected.

I'm ignorant to all bad things that may be directed at me, like "woosh!" right over my head or in one ear and out the other. It never gets a chance to collect £200, just straight to jail :)
