What Song Describes You The Best?

Post » Sun May 06, 2012 11:05 pm

Basicly.. What Song Describes You The Best and why? Well.. Don't have to say why.. You can just say the song, but it is up to you...Truly.

As for me.. The song that best describes me.. I'll have to say 'Behind Blue Eyes' by 'The Who'. Why? Well.. My eyes are some-what blue. They change back and forth from Blue to Green a lot. Also, thru-out my life I've been the one who is always bullied. From Pre-School to Today, I am still the #1 person to pick on. This caused me many problems over my life time, one being Friends, trusting, etc. And the song describes someone who is some sort of pain that other people don't understand or don't care for.. The 2nd part is I am defensive. I rarely fight back but if you push enough of my buttons, I can get pretty nasty and the song does explain that as well. The song also explain how the singer, or listener, (Depending on how you wish to look at it) has dreams and been working on them. As for me, my dreams is to be a Game Designer and over my life, I've been practicing my skills with the computer. Starting with small programs, like art, then getting into scripting and modding games that are currently out as well as working on the big programs, like AutoCAD and few others I've been practicing on.

So basicly.. I was, and still am, tormented thru-out my life and did a nasty bite-backs but still aiming for my true goals, no matter what they say.

The Song "Behind Blue Eyes" can be used for someone who've been thru some sort of bad times and prolly did some that they regret (Like biting back too hard) but thru all those times, that person is still shooting for their dreams, at least that is how I look at it.

If you wish for me to explain more then just ask. I can give examples for each line in the song.

if I'm capable of being summarised by a song, I'd be very concerned as to the substance of my character.

Boulevard of Broken Dreams - green Day.

Why? i'm autistic, and i feel like the singer in this song a lot

lyrics:

Spoiler
I walk a lonely road
The only one that I have ever known
Don't know where it goes
But it's home to me and I walk alone

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
When the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk alone

I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'til then I walk alone

Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, aaah-ah,
Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah

I'm walking down the line
That divides me somewhere in my mind
On the border line
Of the edge and where I walk alone

Read between the lines
What's [censored] up when everything's alright
Check my vital signs
To know I'm still alive and I walk alone

I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk alone
I walk a...

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'til then I walk alone

Ah-ah, ah-ah, ah-ah, aaah-ah
Ah-ah, ah-ah

I walk alone
I walk a...

I walk this empty street
On the Boulevard of Broken Dreams
When the city sleeps
And I'm the only one and I walk a...

My shadow's the only one that walks beside me
My shallow heart's the only thing that's beating
Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me
'til then I walk alone...

I never asked for a song that sums you up. I asked for a song that "best" describes you. Remember for words like "best" because the question is asking for the best possible thing even if it doesn't totally describes or describes even 80% of you.

if I'm capable of being summarised by a song, I'd be very concerned as to the substance of my character.

Same thing.

Those two are basicly asking for a song to sum you up, not one that best describes you.

Personally, I believe there is no song out there that can sum up a human being.

Yea, you lost me. The title of the first one I posted was, A song to Describe You. I see very little difference in, What song describes you best.

What song describes me now, may not describe me ten minutes from now. I just can't be summed up in one song.

Well they do have a point, most songs can't really sum up the different experiences people have. Most songs have aweful lyrics but sound great if you don't really pay attention to whats being said more than the melody.

Kids? I'm a whole lot older than you think I am. :poke:

Anyhow, it's got nothing to do with being or feeling too special, but more to do with how we change; How I loook at the world today, may not be how I look at it tomorrow. Twenty years ago when I was still in my twenties I saw the world in a whole different way, and my musical tastes reflected that. 10 years ago my views on the world and people in general were a whole lot different than they are now...and yet again, my taste in music reflected those views. Five years ago I was not the same person I am today, and yes, my musical tastes have changed yet again. Now as for tomorrow? Who knows what it will bring, more of the same? or will it be something new yet again.

You see, there's nothing special about it. People can and do change, as do their views and tastes, that is why me and my life cannot be summed up in one song.

Maybe the title should ask for what song can you relate to the best?

Many Linkin Park songs describe a portion of one particular emotion I have experienced deeply, definatly not my whole personality. Specifically http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcs5PRxEXq4&ob=av2e

I try to be modest but honestly I have quite a high opinion of myself. Me and two of my friends were discussing who would be what sin of the 7 deadly sins, one of them went "sloth" for himself and laughed, the other went "greed" and then they looked at me and went "... pride", I didn't argue them about it.

People often don't notice some of their own traits and will describe themselves in a better way than they are so I think I'll just go with my friends on this one. "How do you sing that high ?" I do however acknowledge it when others can do something great too, but it won't stop me from thinking I'm the greatest person I know. :P

Foolish man.

I don't even need a song to describe you, I can do it with two words. See?

I remember when I first heard this sing with the music video. It was very much me at the time, and I literally did like to walk alone to be alone. It was pretty much the best thing I could do.

It's
and
(without the spaces) not [hide]

I guess the ending lyrics to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IHS3qJdxefY will do...

I'm sorry you're not here I've been sane too long my vision's so unclear.
Now take a trip with me but don't be surprised when things aren't what they seem.

I've known it from the start
All these good ideas will tear your brain apart.
Scared but you, you follow me
I'm too weird to live but much too rare to die.
