I hope he means 2 a.m eastern lol. But I think by "soon" he just means within the 5 hours.

So I have dumb question, when the dlc is available will it appear automatically in xbl games section or do I need keep restarting my system? I have never waited up for dlc or been so eager to download

Sooner is better. Can only download freely between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM. 1:49 right now. Need to stay up all night to ensure I can download within the window. Don't want to stay up past 6:00 AM...

Launch a game, then dashboard it.

You won't have to restart your system, I think. It should just appear since the Xbox automatically updates itself at a certain time each morning. We suspect that is when DG will be released. Some say it updates at 3am, others say it updates at 6am.

I think there is an option under the main menu of Skyrim for the DLC. However, I do not know when it will appear there.

Really? So only Xbox is getting Dawnguard today? That seems kind of ridiculous. Why would they do that?

Beth has to make money.

Microsoft offered them a huge payday in exchange for 30 day exclusive deals for the first 2 DLC.

And probably the Xbox 360 version was ready before the other two anyway, so why not make a bit of extra money, while finishing off the PC and PS3 versions.

Someone called the Xbox support, they said that they normaly update at ~3 am EST (In one hour and ~6 minutes). Offcourse the update could take some time to, i dont know how it works.

It'll most likely appear FIRST on the xbox.com website. It's happened before. So you can just pay for it on the site if it's live there first, turn your system on and it'll automatically start downloading for you.

But to answer your question, you shouldn't have to keep restarting your system (probably not good on your hard drive either), just load an app, watch some Netflix or Crackle (free to gold members) on the 360 and back out every now and then to see if the marketplace updated.

It happens quickly. They're not doing a full dashboard update. They do these things every Tuesday morning I think.

And I thought they did it at 3am. Everyone else kept telling me 6am though.

They might of changed it to 3am recently. I remember when I did all nighters before, for map packs and they never appeared until a little after 5 am est time.

They do update at roughly 3 AM, however they keep adding things until roughly 5-6 AM. I've stayed up for every New Vegas and Mass Effect 2 DLC and sometimes they would appear right at 3, others it would take an hour or so before they came up. If you want a little tip, pull up Xbox.com and wait there too. I've had situations come up were the DLC will be available to purchase there first.

it is coming out at 5 or 6 am ! god
