Eastern Time Zone

Do we know yet if it will actually be released when they do their update thing? Because as far as I know this isn't confirmed stuff we're dealing with here.

Even if it released right this second GameStop hasnt posted my download code to my rewards account yet anyway. Hopefully it shows up the same time the DLC is available.

They do update at roughly 3 AM, however they keep adding things until roughly 5-6 AM. I've stayed up for every New Vegas and Mass Effect 2 DLC and sometimes they would appear right at 3, others it would take an hour or so before they came up. If you want a little tip, pull up Xbox.com and wait there too. I've had situations come up were the DLC will be available to purchase there first.

Ah, that is what I was just wondering. Because we really don't have anything confiriming it comes out at 3 except we're basing it off of when they do their morning update.

The update can take a few hours. As I said, sometimes it will be among the first things they add to the marketplace and sometimes it will be added after other things. Be ready at 3 AM EST and then be ready to potentially wait until 5 AM EST. I remember that when I was waiting for Lair of the Shadow Broker, they started updating at 3 but didn't add it till approximately 5:30 AM. It showed up on xbox.com before showing up on the marketplace, which has happened with the Summer of Arcade games that I have purchased in the past too. Toy Soldiers Cold War was on xbox.com for about 20 minutes before it showed up on the marketplace. Just be checking the marketplace and keep refreshing the Skyrim page on Xbox.com to be safe. If it does show up on xbox.com, just purchase it there and it will automatically be added to your Xbox downloads.

Another observation I have is that, for whatever reason, larger downloads seem to get added later than those that are smaller. I waited until 3:30 CDT for Old World Blues about this time last year, but Lair of the Shadow Broker wasn't added until 5:30 EST and it was about twice the size of Old World Blues. Assuming that is the case, Dawnguard could be among the first things added because it has already been on the marketplace for two weeks, just hidden.

You prove a valid point.

I'll say this...if the DLC becomes available and I have to wait for GameStop to give me my download code, the nearest one to my house is getting firebombed, and I will see all of you on the news later.

From my experience, it's still pretty slim. I've only had one or two things show up exactly at 3 AM, everything else can show up anytime between 3 AM EDT and, at the absolute latest that I have seen, 6 AM EDT. However, with that said, Dawnguard is already on the marketplace. That is how the beta testers were able to access it with redeem codes. It may be among one of the earliest things to go up because it is already on the marketplace and only needs to be come public to access.

The Skyrim Dawnguard DLC has a clear release time if past Xbox Live updates are anything to go by, and this would predict that the Skyrim DLC should land between 6AM and 7AM Pacific Standard Time, which is around 9/10AM EST and 2/3PM in the UK.

Right now, I am really hoping that the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut comes out after Dawnguard. I'm hoping I can play Dawnguard while downloading that colossus, I have a feeling a 2 GB DLC is going to download pretty slow tonight.

Same. I've never had to wait any longer than 6 AM EDT/EST. In fact, I actually downloaded Lair of the Shadow Broker from the UK Xbox site as opposed to the US site because it was up in Europe about 30 minutes before it was live over here in the United States.
