What Unique Thing has Made You Smile?

I just love stealth in this game. It was so boring in OB for some reason but now the bows are so effective and the assassination finishers and multiple "hidden" levels.... I feel like I'm playing an Assassin's Creed game or something :ninja:

A mammoth falling from the sky, and nonchalantly walking away. As far as something Bethesda meant to put in there...a certain Orc who wants to die. And playing tag with the children.

Jumped off a high place into a lake.
A ghost appeared and congratulated me on surviving the jump. He had not been so lucky.
Lol, I did that.

Spoiler
Getting Lucien Lachance as a summon companion from the Dark Brotherhood.

Two really fun moments so far.

Riding through the plains near Windrun (far western part). At once two wolfs attack me from the rear. I sprint a moment, turn and get ready to dismount. That second a sabretooth appears right next to me and due to Murphy striking really bad the moment I dismount a huge shadow covers the sun, grilling all fighting (me + horse + 2 wolfs + sabrecat). Too bad I didn't hit the screenshot key.

And the most positive one:
Waiting in a mine. 2 bandits coming up some stairs ahead, next to each other. My arrow hits the left one, who starts flying down the stairs with something like a backflip, his buddy stopping and turning around to check where he's going, who's then hit by another arrow into his lower body (bad aim) and then faceplanting the ground right on top the stairs.

Using my shout to launch a bandit off a cliff, exploring the world and it's dungeons.

For me it was when a Whiterun guard said this after I was shouting into the sky trying to get a dragons attention:

"Could you please quiet down? That...shouting...is frightening people."

This is when I decided I loved the game.

I'm outside one of the cities and see this guy walking down to the stables. Being the terrible person that I am, I decided to kill him using the awesome backstab animation and rob him of all of his possessions. So I sneak up behind him, slit his throat, grab all his stuff and run up the stairs so I don't get noticed. Then this other guy walking into the city sees the body, and he gets the guards to come running.

The guards gather around the corpse and begin commenting on the body, and I come walking up to get a better look. Suddenly I'm entering a dialogue with one of the guards, and she starts questioning me and asking if I knew what was going on there and if I had seen anything suspicious. I play dumb and say I don't know anything, and she lets me go. It was awesome.

Diving from the Bard's Leaping Summit was the best moment for me so far. Smiled in joy.

Getting ambushed by a Khajit thief while walking on a path in the wilderness.

It really took me by surprise, and even though he tried to kill me, I thought it was pretty clever by Bethesda

- The first non-plot dragon I went after. I had Lydia in tow and popped off a stealth arrow at it. The dragon spotted Lydia and went over to barbeque her. As it shouted, from within the torrent of flame, I heard, "Is that all you got?"

- The second non-plot dragon I went after. This one refused to lock onto Lydia, repeatedly leaving me nearly blinded and hiding behind standing stones with just a tiny sliver of health left, frantically healing myself, then popping out to put a couple arrows into it before it was able to roast me again.

- Running into a group of revelers on the road, standing around a dead animal. I greeted them, they offered me a bottle of mead, then walked away after I accepted it. Cool random thing to happen, but I wish I'd had a dialogue option to ask about their celebration.

Doing a quest to get a Mammoth Tusk. Find a Giant herding some Mammoths and attempt to take one down.

*Boink*

Get thrown in to the air and die.
Start again, and find the same Giant but only one Mammoth. Follow them for a while to see if one Mammoth had simply gotten ahead.
Out of nowhere, a second Mammoth falls from the sky and dies.

*walk up to Mammoth and loot tusk*

The Gods were clearly on my side!

My favorite so far happened as I was running around Whiterun checking out the landscape. As I'm going along I spot two bandits and plop an arrow into one while sneaking. The other charges at me and as I switch my weapons three men come running from behind me and kill the bandit, I was pretty appreciative. The next thing I know these "hired thugs" walk up to me and tell me they were hired to teach me a lesson. Naturally, I was no longer appreciative and had to axe the trio. Run by and save me from a bandit just to kill me yourself? I guess I would do the same lol

i got the crazy notion to fight a giant man-no e man-no.... he spiked me like a foot ball, watched my corpse fly above the clouds before the auto reload.
trying to shout as a wolf and scaring all my attackers away(funny stuff)
also realizing that if i had weapons equipped before i changed form i still had them in my paws
entering white run on a quest and getting attacked in the city by a blood dragon

unrelenting force shouting people, i like to get them all in a tunnel and unleash it, some times it kills them all in one go.

realizing that the gray beards are way more powerful then you, just try getting in a yelling match with one...... ouch that hurt my pride...

For me, as an old Morrowind player, it's mainly the many Morrowind references. The Wreck of The Pride of Tel Vos, the New Gnisis Cornerclub, to name two. Up near the Winterhold area the roads are marked with the same piled rocks they used in the Ashlands. And of course I smile whenever I hear that Morrowind exploring music.

I also smiled when I was playing tag with a small boy in Windhelm. ;)

Add "Hlaalu farm" to that list

Outside of Riverwood, I saw a stump swarming with a colony of termites or ants.. little details like this makes me appreciate the game developers even more.

I laughed my ass off when I walked right up to a dragon only to have him grab me in his mouth and slam me into the ground (dead). Note to self, do not walk right up to dragons!!

The first time I managed to down a dragon in the wilderness with no help was pretty satisfying. And seeing my horse trample wolves is excellent as well.

I also love visiting Riften and Solitude, being a big fan of The Real Barenziah and The Wolf Queen series. Just being in the places where those stories actually took place is exciting.

The first time I used the berszerker skill. I was fighting a bandit chief that was kicking my butt, then I decided to give the "crappy" race skill a try; I tore that bandit up like nothing!

My horse died jumping into the river, I survived, but my horse's corpse started floating away down the river with the current, never to be seen again.
