Try out Jenassa, Marcurio, or Mjoll (in that order) for chatty companions. Jenassa has something to say about every type of dungeon. Marcurio restricts his comments to Nordic Ruins. And Mjoll talks about herself. (Too much for my taste, but since you like Lucien, maybe you would like her.)

I had Marcurio before but he died on me... I don't rly care too much for followers anyways.. I have Derkeethus following and I personally love his voice a lot. I also do currently have Lucien Lachance with me and he did a smart move! Instead of using that crappy dagger of his.. He decided to pick up a bow and just use range!

SPOILER (don't know how to make spoiler tags)
So has anyone else noticed the major hole in the story? How does a snow elf make an elder scroll? or am I missing something? I've only played through it once so far but it seems like the evil snow elf (can't remember his name) created the prophecy to have revenge on the Ariel.

Loved:
  • Pureblooded vampires explained.
  • Serana.
  • Vampire lore.
  • Vampire Lord form.
  • Crossbows.
  • Dragonbone Weapons.
  • Can smith arrows.
  • Snow Elves.
  • Falmer Females.
Hates:
  • Vampires wiping out entire towns (except for the NPCs marked "essential")
  • Thieves Guild Hood not fixed for Vampire characters, they could have fixed this...
  • Serana and Valerica's NEW hairstyles are not available to the player...
  • New Bugs
And probably more, which I can't remember right now :P

The Elder Scrolls archive both historic and future events, thus its most likely that Arch-Curate Vyrthur's future attempt to blot out the sun, was actually the prophecy. So simply by wanting to do it, it became a Prophecy logged by the Elder Scroll.

The Forgotten Vale is my favorite place in all of Skyrim. The atmosphere with that music...pure heaven. The fact we got to see some snow elf buildings, learn their history, meet two of them! That was much needed. BTW, did anyone have a hard time killing those frost giants? Besides Karstaag, those were the only known frostys. I felt like a brute killing them for simple loot...and Auriels Shield...

At the risk of sounding like a super-fan, I loved pretty much everything about it. The quests, the architecture, the characters, the boss fights, the change to stage 4 vampirism (is really awesome), the Vampire Lord form and the excellent perk tree, the armor, the weapons, tonal locks, the clutter, the atmosphere, the locations.

Some of it could have been done *better* but it was still, all of it, fantastic. I don't like the little bugs (like the broken Alchemy Lab in Breezehome), but while they are stupid, stupid bugs, I don't believe they were intentional. And my gushing is about what was intentionally created for us.

I love the whole vampire side of things but what really surprised me and made me speechless were the Falmer, did not expect something like the Forgotten Vale; that was epic! Also I loved the new look of the "Betrayed" and the new Charus life stage, the little things that were added that change the main game.

Don't forget Erandur, if you decide to forego a Daedric artifact.

The Aetherium Forge.
I just found it..... amazing. The book, the story; amazing!
I want more Dwemer quests that arent connected to Falmer, or the dissapearance of the Dwemer.

The lore, learning more about the Snow Elf pantheon, the books from the period when they were just defeated by the Nord, all those things.
Very happy to visit the Soul Cairn again.

Im also very much fond of the many fan-requested features that made it into the game, such as arrow smithing, more powerful dragons, an extention of the in-game travel network with ferrymen, crossbows (yay) and all those other things.

Lastly its a small thing, but I like the summonable horse.
SInce that addition I now use horses, because I dont have to worry about him, just summon when needed.

My favorite part was after becoming a Vampire Lord and new leader of the Castle, my thrall Mothman got assigned the nices and coolest room with big bed, storage, enchanting and alchemy table. I got assigned to basically a storage room with a cage and fireplace. That was my favorite part.

The Vampire/Dawnguard Questline
The Aetherium Forge

Serena, i found to be a very good companion.

I chose Serena's option to leave the sun alone.

That store room was Harkon's old room. He was in there by the fire in one of the earlier scenes. :)
