Luck's the only one worth a damn, the rest are pretty much dumpstats.

I think I want to make a sneaking, gunslinger cannibal lol
I really want to play around with the improved FPS gameplay and I like to play close up games with corridors soo.

These look like phone numbers haha.
I'd like to have higher stats but in previous games I never really put a lot of points into SPECIAL and also I don't play completionist, usually just build a new character and run off to the next area that I haven't been too yet.
Since it looks like you have to invest perks to just be able to lockpick, hack, or well unlock stuff that before we would just dump skill points into man this really changes things up I'm very tempted to just play with a stat of 4 in everything and just spend the points on the perks that you get with just that >< for a first play.
They've gone on record that leveling will be easier and faster than previous Fallout games (more similar to Skyrim after patches).
Intelligence gives more XP, plus leveling will be easier, plus it seems like combat will be like an FPS, plus no level cap? It seems like intelligence will be massively over powered as far as maxing out a character.
I dunno about anyone else, but I maxed out my character incredibly quickly and easily in Fallout 3 on very hard difficulty. If Fallout 4 is really quicker than Fallout 3 or New Vegas, then it'll be a lot easier than people think to max SPECIAL and perks.
Back to lurking
well without knowing all the perks yet and being very interested in settlement building and maintenance, i think i will go Endurance first Charisma a close second, then Intelligence
I don't know, I thought the perks for Charisma were really disappointing. Hate all that "animal friend" and companion stuff.
Dump stat will probably be Endurance. All it really gives you is health and I like having little of it. Makes the game tougher and more realistic.
On the character I'm rolling now, Strength. Doesn't seem relevant to anything I want to do. I may not touch Endurance unless HP gains don't apply retroactively.
Going to wait until I see most of the perks to decide, but probably going to have a fairly low charisma and maybe strength. Since there is no max level, I'm going to start with intelligence at 10 to try to get to the higher perks faster.

Trying for a Strength-Intelligent character. Dumpskills of course being Agility and Luck. The only reason that I have only 3 in Charisma is because in my first few playthrough's I'm not going to care about settlement building an Evil Lair for myself, and possibly Piper.
Wow dude this is Fallout 4 not 3! Maybe things will be different this time around.
Maybe, but I don't even use bullet time in other FPS games that offer it - it's easier and faster to just shoot people in the head and move on. I'm not seeing any point to high health or strength either, considering I'm perfectly capable of shooting people in the head from stealth and cover. My goal in Bethesda games is to Do All The Things, and Strength, Endurance, and Luck do not help with actually accomplishing anything aside from combat.
Strength, endurance and perception. I like low endurance since that makes me fragile and that makes everything feel more dangerous, if there's underwater exploration (as seems likely) hopefully my high INT will let me build a rebreather with some duct tape and molerat meat. Strength is a non-issue primarily since I don't hit things, the lack of carrying capacity might be irksome but hopefully not too big an issue. Losing perception does kinda svck purely for the sake of accuracy so I might spend some time building it up in the early game.
It's either between Endurance or Luck. I'll review the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. vids again before my first run to make a final decision.
I'm just gonna play how I feel, let it all flow naturally.
Just looking forward to no level cap really. I always missed the "ching" after killing an enemy after you'd hit the cap.
Just because I don't feel it's realistic for someone to effectively function with SPECIAL score of 1, I'll set everything to 3 at the minimum and then use the extra few points to bump up the attributes who's perks I want to focus on.
I'm not going to directly dump any stat. I'll be making a specific character type and not playing for numbers. But low stats will be Strength and Endurance.
I'll probably do something very similar. Usually I'd beef up intelligence, but I actually don't want to level up too fast so I'll limit it based on what perks I want. I avoid close-quarters combat, so strength and endurance can go. If I can't tell what luck really does besides crits, I don't need that either. P > A > C > I > E > S > L. But I'll probably throw away all plans I have once I actually fire it up and just go with the flow.
This gave me an idea, make a character with SPECIAL matching my phone number and just see how it plays... Weird idea but might make add some replay interest.
This is a pretty solid argument, that's the most satisfying noise of all time.
Giant dump on str. Carrying things is overweighted anyway!
I'm going full Unarmed Wasteland Monk build.
My dump stat will be INT, PER, and CHA. I will eventually put +2 to CHA and +1 Int for Lone Wanderer and Medic as I level.
10-1-7-1-1-5-3
Further than that depends on if you can Crit outside of VATS, in which case I'll max out Luck as I level. Agility for Sprinter also seems nice as it will synergize with Locomotive.
Honestly I'm not sure what I'd do if I saw someone swimming with molerat meat duct taped to their face...
But seriously, if intelligence does allow us the ability to craft a rebreather, I'll be super pumped.
If I did, I'm pretty positive I wouldn't suspect them of having a high INT:D
