What would you do if Fable 4 turned out to be everything Pro

Except that, with Spore, they actually did have most of the promised features in the game at one point. EA thought that the game was "Too complicated" and made them tone it down. Watch some of the older gameplay demos, a lot of the promised content is actually showcased in them. Apparently that's what made Will Wright leave Maxis.
I remember that. The animation was much better in the demos, where you could drag other creatures around, or have an unbalanced (literally) creature.

Damned shame, I would really have liked Spore the way it was supposed to be.

I suppose Project Ego as it was intended would have been an awesome game, but I can't believe that anyone ever thought that they'd be able to pull off something like that.

Things like this are said about every upcoming Fable sequel. I stopped paying attention.
Yeah, so much hope. So many wasted dreams.

If only  I remember a few years ago that was my most anticipated game

I believe that's why it was delayed, too. They had to go back and simplify the entire game, which took a lot longer than expected. And they removed the entire underwater stage.

Fable 3 was a dissapointment to me. it had some potential, but 1 and 2 were much more enjoyable. I don't think i've completed 3 either. got to the point of being king and got bored with it luckily i picked it up for $10 when blockbuster video was closing nearby so i got my money's worth! also whoever decided you had to pay upkeep on each house one at a time instead of having a "fix all" button should be beaten with a stick...

Fable 4 is low on my priority list and i don't have very high expectations for it. I'm sure i'll play it, but most likely when i can get it dirt cheap second hand or borrow from a friend

Fable has always run on a model of over promise and under deliver. while it worked for the hype of the first 2 and both were still great games in my opinion. it got old with 3 and it's at the point now where i doubt i'll even read up on it so that i can at least be surprised at the final result and not dissapointed by it!

WTF is Project Ego?

And I thought Fable is over considering that Molyneux guy left. I don't know why they would try to make Fable continue, because without its creator it'll only be Fable in name and its sole purpose will be to cash in on the name. I say let it die, create something new.

Project Ego is the original codename of the first Fable. And Peter's leaving AFTER this next Fable is finished.

He's still listed as the lead director for the upcoming Fable, so he's probably either just working on that before he leaves or maybe he just pre-directed everything in advanced and then left.

EDIT: http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/07/peter-molyneux-leaves-lionhead/ Yeah, it says will leave once Fable: The Journey is finished.

The next Fable isn't really a Fable game anyway, though, it's an on rails Kinect game.

Never played Fable (and don't feel like starting a seven year old game at this point), never played Fable II (not a console player and it wasn't released for PC). I did play Fable III last fall while waiting for Skyrim. It was pretty fun and I played it through twice as good and evil. I didn't have any preconceptions about the series so I wasn't disappointed (just like when I played Oblivion without playing Morrowind first).

i see this as an improvement the guy was sooo focused on "choices" and "morality" he forgot to focus on actually making the game

If anything that is an improvement.

Now they can advertise features that actually exsist

Reading this Fable Talk is making me want to get back into the game series but then again, I don't want to... Guns.. Magic.. I don't like that at all.. (Not a big fan of mixing Technology and Magic together...)
