What do you hate about yourself

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 3:09 am

Hmm, feels like I've seen this thread before.

I'm perfect in every way.
Admittedly I am lazy but I see it as a good thing, because it means that I rarely do things that I dislike.

Reposting from a previous thread:

I'm selfish, I'm a pathological quitter, I'm a liar and a coward, I gain happiness only though the absence of interpersonal relationships of any kind, I'm about 100 IQ points dumber when actually trying to apply knoweldge, I'm scrawny in some places and fat in others and terribly out of shape, I'm lazy to the point of sloth, I'm mercurial to the point of being fickle, and I haven't done an honest day's work in my entire life.

But at least I'm http://www.hongfire.com/cg/data/25/caramelldansen.swf.

So you're a criminal?

Btw that link is criminal.

You don't need a degree to be helpful in some area, barring medical conditions in all...

And in my experience some people with a degree are far less helpful than your average forumer. :hehe:

I hate that I smoke an incredible amount of cigarettes
I hate that I'm lazy and don't do things that don't interest me (like work or school)
I feel like sort of a pansy saying this, but I hate being a bit chubby
I hate that I svck at communication and relationships (my gradma doesn't even talk to me anymore )
I hate that I can sometimes lose touch of reality
I hate that I can be a bit arrogant when it comes to my abilities (but I hate even more that this bothers other people  )

I'll stop now...

Kindness.
I want to be extremely evil and impassive. Alas, that is not how I am wired.

I'm fat, lazy, selfish, I avoid work like the plague, and I hate that I can never grow a proper beard. I always get that stupid neckbeard with a few bald spots in it and I also hate my cowlick when I'm growing out my hair.

I tend to be very annoying to people who have a need to feel like victims. As I try to be more optimistic I often feel how I'm greatly annoying those who don't feel like joining in and trying to see the bright side of things.

Hmm, trying to differentiate between those who "need to feel like victims" and those who actually do have serious problems sounds like something that's fraught with danger... I'd approach with caution. Or not at all.

It really only looks good, and not creepy, on French men, for some reason.

... it may be something to do with the whole look. Unless you're moving to France, or are a musician, stick to other styles of facial here.

Yeah...Thats not my tache, I just found it on google :P
My tache would take years to look good, I have natural bald spots on my cheeks so I always look like I'm growing side burns when really I just forgot a shave :P

I grow a natural "designer" beard. It looks like I trim it that way, but I want a full on man of the woods beard!

I don't hate anything about myself, and I don't see how any of you would "hate" things about yourselves either unless it has ruined your life in some way. Surely there are traits and things some have and some don't, but it shouldn't be something to hate yourself about. Why not just have a positive outlook on things and work with what you have, no ones perfect.

Hate is such a strong word in my opinion, and I find it annoying that these kinds of topics shows up as frequently as they do. Anyway I see that some of these replies in here are more of a joke than anything, so if that's the case just go ahead.. I guess..

What I am getting at with that is when people get aggressive at those trying to be cheerful because they feel like they should just be having a bad time. To find an example I used to be a lot into sports until I got osgood schlatter which meant I wouldn't get to do sports for years. Then my mother tried to cheer me up by introducing me to books and pokémon cards. But the kind of people I'm talking about is those who would then instead of just trying to read the book they would just decline it and go sulk about their inability to do what they used to do feeling that those trying to make things better are just an annoying pest.

No matter the issue I'd rather try solve it than just ignore it but people tend to dislike that.

I still think it depends: whilst some people can simply be miserable bastards, others will get genuinely depressed about stuff and can't see a more positive outlook no matter how they try. Sometimes it's obvious (or at least seems that way), other times not so much. That's not to say that I'm not sometimes rather judgemental myself: although I tend to be quick to reappraise something if I get it wrong, it wouldn't be required without my tendency to be rather scathing in the first instance.

Oh, I forgot to say what I hate - my myopia/astigmatism. I've worn glasses since I was 13. I guess puberty ruined my eyes. I hate having to clean them, I hate getting rain on them, I hate having to run around at the beach or swim half-blind. I also won't consider Lasik surgery. Just don't want anyone whittling on my corneas.

I feel that I am incredibly lazy, and I don't feel very capable at the things I feel like I actually work at. I go to the gym pretty regularly and work out pretty hard, but I'm not in great shape nor am I particularly strong. People would probably say I look big, but a lot of that is fat :lmao: I've been playing guitar for about 14 years, and have recently been working extra hard to try to get better, but I only feel like I'm becoming more aware of how good I'm not instead of getting better! Otherwise, I hate that I'm very anxious, prone to panic attacks, and find rising to meet my responsibilities incredibly overwhelming especially where it concerns having to interact with other people.

Oftentimes people like that get a nasty surprise when they "snap".
