Hey,

like the title says, what do you RP as?

I RP as a Scholar, i married that girl in the riverwood trader since that way i have a home in riverwood. my character oftens goes to the Inn in town and uses that hidden basemant room as sort of a "HQ". I often go into the CK and make a serise of clues my character must figure out and put them in the HQ. clues include books, notes, landmarks, and riddles. I find by doing this the CK helps me in RP.

so what do you RP as?

my other character is a lazy breton mage in search of power. also does odd jobs to make money. this guy i'm trying to get fairly well leveled before i take too much responsiblity, he lives in the collage like a typical student

Typical Nord Hero, I try not to limit myself on what I can or can't join. But if there was a decision between two options, I try to think 'What would an honorable Nord do?"

First character: Mowgli-type (no, not the Disney version. The version that grew up in the wild without parents, got adopted by wolves, and hunts for food with her fists). Doesn't kill animals if there's no need to, unless they attack her (or she's hungry/needs pelts, heh). Is also Talos reborn, therefore her name secretly references to his Greybeard nickname Ysmir (she's called Iizlovaas do Mirdogrohiik, Iiz-mir for short). Is the true Dragonborn, doesn't take sides in the civil war. Melee character.

Second character: Thalmor spy with the fake name Wyvern. Sent to cause extra strife and disturbances. Is now focusing on gathering as much power as possible through networking (specializes in speech. And in manipulating females). As a result, joins the Thieves' Guild and the Dark Brotherhood. Will probably also do the main quest for a part, to get all the blades together (so they can be killed more efficiently later on in a trap, heh heh heh). Is siding on the Imperial side to keep an eye on Tullius. Pure mage, mainly Illusion and Conjuration. Has to evade ANY possible bounty, because that has a high chance of blowing his cover. The thalmor in Skyrim don't know about his mission 'though, so he looks like a normal Altmer to them. Will marry that [censored] from Radiant Raiments as a cover and for the money. She'll have to think she's manipulating him 'though, and that he's just a normal cowardly trader travelling from city to city.

still thinking about a character to join the Stormcloaks ... I was thinking of getting a female Khajiit married, and cause the husband's death by the Imperials in some way. Then she'll want to take revenge on the Imperials, and have a decent reason to join the Stormcloaks. Also thinking about making this one very mischievous, if only to steal the clothes from those bathing hunters in the hot springs.

My first character was a Telvanni mage who I created while playing Morrowind. Because he had to flee from some dangerous people he faked his death and then froze himself. Right before the start of Skyrim he was unfrozen. While crossing the border of Skyrim he was captured by the Imperials etc. etc.
After 200 years being frozen he had lost a lot of his magical power and he started a quest to regain his former magical power while also discovering the fate of house Telvanni. For this he went to the college of Winterhold.

The background story itself is quite generic I think, it just helps me to play as a mage. It also gives me a bit of flexibility to adjust my playstyle if needed (for example using swords instead of magic from time to time).

My second charater is a Redgaurd from Hammerfell who wants to prove his worth as a hunter (because he comes from a family of hunters) but doesn't want to hunt the same creatures as his family. Therefore he moves to Skyrim.

Vera Darksky or Vera the Huntress: Imperial, blond-haired Bounty Hunter. She was born to a wealthy family near the Great Forest in Cyrodiil, and is also a hereditary Lycanthrope. She worships Hircine and lives for the hunt, honoring his name in everything that relates to pursuing quarry.

Kraven Desselius: Imperial male, former slave gladiator from Morrowind and a hound of Hircine. Joined the Companions and settled down in Skyrim.

Raven Meridius Vladmirius: Cyrodiilic vampire. Involved in politics and uses destruction lightning against her foes. Always involved with those who are in power. Hates the Volkihar.

Well, Bethesda kind of set the tone for me here. I wasn't released from prison this time, but rather escaped execution. Now on the lam. Doing odd jobs, and take care of things.... all kinds of things it takes to survive in the cruel world: extortion, skooma, petty theft, dumpster diving, grave robbing. One thing led to another and she started doing even more kinds of things, like when she could finally afford a decent suit of armor, like mercenary work, breaking and entering, robbery, murder. If Sonja stuck to honest work like chopping wood at the lumber mill, she might never have known she was Dragonborn.

In order:

Khajit thief who was simpleminded and followed orders and did everything everyone told him to. :P
Nord hero who embraced the Voice and fulfilled his destiny as the Dragonborn.
Altmer mage who would do anything for power.
Dunmer assassin who happened to be a vampire who killed in cold blood.
Bosmer Hunter who worshipped Hircine and wandered the land fixing people's lives and helping people out.
Orc warrior/necromancer who was wanted in every hold and lived in the Orc strongholds, using only Orcish weapons.
Breton daedra worshipper who only used the daedric artifacts and screwed with people's lives
Redguard thief/treasure hunter who would pickpocket and swindle, while being a vampire.
Breton mage named The Doctor, based on Doctor Who. Used only Alteration, Restoration, and Illusion for combat. Very difficult to do.
Khajit monk who fought using only his hands and attempted to worship Mara thoguh it failed.

Currently I'm RPing a Dunmer named Dalamus evil paladin type who specializes in conjuration, two handed, and heavy armor. His family was killed when red mountain erupted. with his family destroyed he was offered a way out of the decimated province of Morrowind by a rich imperial man who owned a farm Cyrodiil. he was put to work there as a farm hand and also acted as a personal servant, but it was more like torture then work. he endured years of ridicule and beatings from the farm owner and his two sons. he lived locked up in a shed by the fields and would spend his time reading books about the various magic schools. With all his anger and hatred building up towards the farm owner and his sons he began to look to things like necromancy for power and began plotting.

In the weeks before he carried out his plan he worked especially hard and even did extra work for the farmer and his sons. also during those weeks several of the neighboring farms workers went missing, but no one looked into it. one night when the family was eating dinners he snuck into the armory and stole the eldest sons ebony great sword a set of his workers rags in the room. the next morning when the son realized what happened stormed off to the hands shack alone and in a rage. When entered the shack and confronted Dalamus, Dalamus ran the brother through with his own sword. He then resurrected him as his zombie minion and sent him against his brother and then their father. once he resurrected them all he took the club that they used to beat him and bludgeoned their walking corpses into oblivion. a week later, after he left, the mutilated bodies of the farmer and his sons were found along with the bodies of all the missing farm hands.

Dalamus now roams Tamriel in search of the only thing that matters to him any more... ultimate power. he has come to skyrim in search of these dragons he has heard about, in an attempt to see if he can become powerful enough to create a zombie dragon.

Figured i would go a different rout than my usual "helpful good guy" character.

Currently playing Dragon Slayer nord hero who was a full archer but went dragon slayer after dragonborn MQ. Wears full dragon plate armor with a choice for 2h battle axe. Also a companion thus he carries Wuuthrad to honor his brethren. Falling to the shadows and will become an assassin and then a thief and then a templar with shield and sword and light or heavy armor.

Had a theme play Orc who only used orc stuff and joined the imperials.

Also a kajit called Hraken who is pure archer, assassin, and thief with illisuion spells.

If werewolfs and vamps didnt svck id RP a full character of em but that wont happen till Beth opens their eyes.

Independent contractor. I get paid too much for too little work, sometimes of a shoddy nature. I have few scruples, employ moral relativism, and set my ethical behavior bar a notch below that of my employers. I look forward to helping the Empire do some "nation-building" in Skyrim.

Only characters who have RPs are my three Altmer:

Put short because nobody cares:
- One is a refugee from Summerset Isles who works to topple the Thalmor regime.
- One is a Thalmor agent
- One is a Great War veteran who unlike so many of his kin refuse to use magic and prefers two handed weapons and heavy armor.

I hope you're serious.

edit: Oh, as for me... I rp the Nord son of a Imperial Blacksmith (I mean, his dad was a Nord who was in the Empire in Cyrodil). He already had his rebellious "Stormcloak" phase when he was younger. He didn't care much for his dad's ideals. His dad died a little disappointed that his son never joined the ranks himself. Anyways, fast forward to Skyrim's time.. his parents were gone and he thought to make a new home for himself in Skyrim. Only to have the Imperial stuff hit him in the face again. Except this time, he started seeing the worth of his dad's life, and what he fought for. Ironically..

Turns out, he's also the dragonborn. Sweet.

My character, a Nord from Markarth orginally, with a reachman's name due to his mother being a reach native. Darach never wanted to be a warrior, rather a blacksmith so he jumped at the chance to join the Companions, to be near the Skyforge if nothing else. Despite his heritage in the Reach he's never returned to Markarth, rather making his areas of exploration Eastmarch, Hjaalmarch, Whiterun and the Pale. Despite his apathy and disdain for Clan Battle-Born and his really devoted fan attitude towards Eorland Grey-Mane, distrusts the Stormcloaks. Of course, that might be due to him and Hadvar sharing a drink and swapping stories after the Helgen debacle.
