What do you think of the Final Battle?(spoilers obv)

Post » Sun Feb 03, 2013 8:18 pm

With Miraak?

I think it could have been better but they did a good job with him teleporting around and summoning dragons. Better than the fight with Alduin where you just use dragonrend on him and smack him until he's dead. Hemeas stole my damn kill too.. that pissed me off.

I was so exhausted from three hours of slogging through Apocrypha that I barely registered the final battle.

I honestly thought that the entire main quest was a little lacking... however the rest of the DLC made up for it IMO

The Main quest was too short, Couldn't believe Dawnguard had a longer one, But They did Put as much as they can into Side Quests, &--#60;3 Ty Bethesda

I Thought it was cool, He was the hardest boss yet.

I like how he used the Shout ,Cannot harm or be harm, And Whirlwhind Sprint and Dragon Aspect on me, and he absorbed the Dragon souls

Though I hated that We could not kill Miraak, And we somehow are now Hermaeous Mora's new minion.

I wish they had fleshed out miraak and the main quest more. The side quests are awesome. I wish they had let frea come with. Would've been awesome for her to do something like serana did to the arch curator. Though the dragon riding thing and those words were useless since they could have easily done without it and dragon riding is a ridiculous and boring novelty that will die after I get my achievment. I love miraaks sword. My whipping sword now biatch!

I kind of wish he would have. Getting killed by Mora just seems degrading.

Now we will never know if he had the power to kill Alduin-slayer. Which means he wasn't strong enough to kill Alduin!

I liked it. I fought his dragons in the air, defeated them, then fought him. He killed my dragon and knocked me down, then we fought in single combat, both of us using dragon aspect. It was sweet.

I thought it was cool. Hermaeus Mora finishing him off was kind of surprising. Would have been even cooler had his cultist played a larger role along with details about who Miraak was.. instead, left once again with more questions than answers.. such is Skyrim.

Also, having an enemy who is dragonborn adds an awesome dynamic, for sure. Basically have the "I see what you did there" face on most of the time since nobody else in existence can do what I can do.. except him.

felt kinda bad for the guy, was just trying to escape mora's realm. Can't say i blame him. T'was a cool boss fight though, the way he used shouts was pretty awesome, and i want to know what he shouted at those dragons at the end, looked like a one hit kill.

Also getting killed by mora looks like one of the worst ways to die

My first fight with him was over in about 15 seconds. Invisiblity, followed by a x30 sneak attack to the back.

Unsatisfied, reloaded my save, and went vampire lord on him. Longer fight, but still easy.

Last bout I tried on master. Marked for death and dual-wielding Harkon's Sword and Dragonbane made short work of him.

So I was pretty disappointed. With the questline and the final confrontation. /:

That character was level 80. I have since fought him on a level 14, and level 38 and still had little to no trouble. It just takes longer is all. And depends in the build.

Not sure what you would define "trouble" as then. I was level 56 and he was at the very least, a worthy opponent. Not so much without his ability to be reborn within goo, but that was a interesting dynamic. The dragons everywhere were fun too. If you know what to do, there's really no villains in TES that are hard. Almalexia, Harkon and Miraak were the hardest ones IMO.

I didn't mind it.

Was glad I was able to absorb Miraak's soul, felt like a little vindication for all he'd stolen from me.

Wished Mora woulda stuck around a bit longer though. I wanted to shoot firebreath at him as a metaphorical screw you/resignation and then haul it out of there.

It is kind of weird how the game basically leaves you as Hermaeus Mora's champion. If that's the case, I think I have a right to know the secrets of the Skaal too :(

One thing it seems (I haven't played through it yet, as I'm a PC user) that would have made the fight much harder is some kind of disarm power. Seems like the melee characters I watched fight him made pretty short work of him for the most part. Luckily I have a mage and as long as I don't abuse the impact perk everything is pleasantly challenging.

Seems like this mod is also very mage-friendly, which I'm looking forward to
