What do you want to see in Skyrim DLC?

Should Bethesda work long and hard on downloadable content like Oblivion's Shivering Isles? Should they release smaller quests with new weapons and clothing?

A more flexible item/spell selection menu that DOES NOT stop gameplay on consoles that lets you choose from/map MORE items/spells (I cant speak for PC)

I would be extremely disappointed in bethesda if all the DLC they did was single quests and new items. the game's thin enough as it is. we need MANY MORE quests.

None of the above.
What do I want? Starter Home
One should never be forced to quest in order to secure safe storage.
Make it a shack, 1-2k with a chest and wardrobe. Heck, make it a campsite with safe sack containers; I don't care.
But make it possible to gain safe-storage access without forcing quests on my characters.

Period.

The one thing I'd like to see is the ability to magically heal my character without having to arm myself. Why did they remove this option when moving on from Oblivion?

Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V from another thread:

Spell crafting, horse armor and a castle. The castle would especially make me happy. It'd be super expensive, but it'd come with tons of upgrades such as a stable, servant staff, crops and defenses. Maybe you could even have an option where bandit raiding parties attack your castle every couple days or so.

It wasn't a special feature of Oblivion. It was part of Oblivion's melee + magic system. Skyrim does left + right instead.

Unlimited quests would like to have a word with you...

And for me, I want a DLC like Blood Moon for Morrowind with the East Empire Company and Raven Rock where you help oversee the construction of a small town.
THAT WAS LIKE MY FAVORITEST GAME MOMENT OF MY LIFE!
Was so AWESOME to build oversee construction of a build site for a new town. It was awesome! D:< Really want something like that in a DLC/Expansion.

i wouldn't mind a new area to explore. this seems likely as most of their previous DLC has usually been a single new area with more quest to do.

I want a huge locations as DLC, more along the lines of expansions similar to Morrowind and Bloodmoon. I want the first to be an island in the Sea of Ghost. I want several new enemy types and several new types of weapons and armor. New clothing items would also be nice. I want the option to change my hair and beard. I would also like to change face paint and dirt levels. Also I really hope they bring back spell creation and add several new types of spells into the game.

One of the DLC's that Beth should make is one that takes you to the island the piijic order live on. The island is torn apart by a few splinter factions that each believe the order should act differently. One side thinks that the current "lets just monitor the world and act occasionally" method is good while one thinks that they know best and should be allowed to force people to do what they tell them. The other group is a bit more radical and wants to start gaining power in Tamriel in a mannor similar to the thalmor. The island appears in the sea of ghosts (or a portal to it) and the player needs to either help one side, or help a group of thalmor on the island destroy the order for good. The island, dispite being in a freezing ocean, should be a summy and warm place (think Atlantis mixed with Shivering Ilse) with many side missions and new gear to find.

Another DLC could be to return to Solthiem. Morrowind, in this time of great need, decided to trade the island for much needed goods from the East Empire company. The local Dunmer population does not like the Imperial presence on the island and tries to rebel. You arrive and, with the imperial forces already retreating, try to settle the stiuation. Eventually, after dealing with the ones responsible for the violence, you can ask either Ulfric or Talius to establish a military fort there to continue maintaining the peace. You also get to rebuilt Raven Rock (in a way). The town is now a castle with a community surrounding it. Through quests and donations of your own gold, you can bring the town to an almost city status. New shops, homes, farms, guards, and even port will be add to the town. Radiant quests could allow you to make rulings over the people as the new Jarl.

This, so long as, like you said, the area is annexed to the rest of Skyrim and isn't within it's own world. I can see where this might be tricky from a world design perspective, but I'm sure it can be done.

Atmora, Roscrea, part of High Rock, Orsinium, Daggerfall, or a Daedric realm.

New areas, new everything.

I like my DLC worked long and hard with great effort thrust deeply into it, filling it with joy.
But also I voted larger DLC. Bigger is better ;P

I totally agree. I was so mad when I had to fork over 8000 gold and get my butt handed to me by a hagraven just to buy a crummy house in markarth. At least Fallout 3 gave us a free house for little to nothing.

I'd pay for them to fix the horrible guild missions and to allow me to do something as leader would be nice. Kind of like in Oblivion for the fighters guild which was a lot more entertaining, had a lot more missions, and options/perks as leader.
