My glitches? Ok, here we go.

#1: Both, BOTH of my save games, auto and manual, got corrupted. "requires DLC, can not read save device"
#2: After the game froze, and crashed my xbox........... I LOST MY GAMER PROFILE. How is that even possible??? I dunno, but it's gone and I can't recover it.
#3: Who tested this game? Fire them!
#4: Even if they release a patch, my xbox isn't capable of logging onto xbox live for me to download it.
#5: :banghead:

Wow, I have been mad at games before, but atleast I could always reload a save and my gamer profile didn't get deleted. It's like I played the slots and had everything taken away from me.

You should be able to recover your gamertag. If FNV somehow deleted it from Microsoft's servers, then that would be one Hell of a glitch! :o

I haven't been on xbox live in forever. It would be easier to just start a new profile. WHICH I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO DO! But it doesn't matter. Even if they patched the game I can't download it due to hardware problems.

Everything. Gone.

Now I don't even want to play the game because I got so far for NOTHING.

Can't believe they released something so badly bugged...

I played a little over an hour last night. I quit for the night when it locked up on me while walking to the Saloon after doing the 'shooting and killing' tutorial. Otherwise the game ran pretty well.

Using a 360 console.

Not if you have bought/spent Microsoft points. Also, recovering a profile is extremely easy. It should take ten minutes tops.

Both me and my friend picked up New vegas and both began playing same time. With fallout 3 I had no crashes or issues with my elite and playing the game where he had many with his xbox arcade edition. We both downloaded the game to our hard drive for smoother play and for the first hour both of us were fine. I then began to get game freezes constantly. In 2 hours it froze (needing my xbox to be completely turned off and back on) 4 times. He has yet to freeze. I was able to recreate a freeze scenario 3 times over. When I had gotten to primm and entered the ncr trooper tent looting the box for ncr armor, as soon as I put it on that action would freeze the game. This is with no npc around no animations. Just me and the small tent. It would happen each time without fail. It also happened before the fight with the gang in the starting town. The only thing I could find different besides our consoles was that I was connected to xbox live and he wasn't. Now this shouldn't affect the game in any way, but i tried disconnecting from the internet and not being on xbox live and I have yet to freeze again. Even when putting that same armor on now. Will update next time I play if the freezing and glitches continue. Other glitches are small (such as weapon, when out, becoming invisible making it hard to fight or always missing shots with 95% chance to hit) not really something to worry about at the moment as many games have them and thats why they release patches to be downloaded as time goes on.

No option in your poll for "Longest Installation Time of a PC Game with a disk EVER!!"

I'm going on hour 9 of my install. Which I don't get, I have a DVD of the game still don't reallu get what the purpose of having the DVD is if Steam is doing all of the installation. Its 3:40am and Steam is only at 77% of the install. I HAVE A DISK!!!!

Sometimes, I wish it would just go back to the old way. You have a disk, you install you play. Not, you have a disk, you need a third party program to install and play game. This svcks.

9 hours to install? Consoles avoid all that, which is why I gave up on PC gaming years ago, nevermind the constant need to figure out what hardware needs to be upgraded. Console lifetime cycles are starting to last past the 5 year mark thankfully, for games being made for it.

i played for about 5 hours last night and i have one interesting glitch,
Spoiler
i cant get the quest "ghost town gunfight" to activate, ive listened to the conversation between trudy and joe cobb and talked to both of them about it but it hasnt activated the quest. ill try talking to mitchell about it when i get home and i hope that works, otherwise ringo is dynomite meat

also a hostile outlaw in primm stayed sitting down at the bar eventhough i shot him in the head, twice. i thought he just wanted to commit suicide or sumthin so i put a third one in his eye lol. no noticeable lag or any other issues tho so im happy. im on a launch ps3 btw

Of course not. The game wouldn't have updates the first day of launch. These days are us finding the problems and reporting so they know what to fix. then the have to make the fix and implement it. It is unrealistic to have a patch for these problems on day 2. To expect it that fast means they would have had to know all the problems and already have fixed it which would mean they would of had it for release and avoided all this instead of getting a bad rep from it then fixing it. Realistically a patch should be out by the end of the week if they wish to save some face on these issues.

Last night I played for 3 hours straight but now I'm at the strip and the game keeps crashing every time I try to leave Gomorrah.
I'm running it on a 4650m with 4 GB of ram and a C2D at 2.8 GHz.

I have the same problem, Unfortunetly my latest and only save was inside & i'm on the X360, will be posting this in issues

Other than the steam problem with auto saving its been pretty smooth. I lost about 2 hours of work when I crashed once, thats how I discovered the saving problem. But it wasn't that bad on the second run through, as it took me like 20 minutes to catch up.

No graphical problems, no fps lag... Had and NPC vanish once, waited around 2 hours and he spawned on his bed.... Thats about it.

I voted

Almost Perfect

and

PC

I say almost perfect because in the 14 or so hour marathon I did yesterday I had only one CTD and personally I think that was a computer issue (it happens from time to time on any game) and glitches were very few that I noticed. Only real glitch I saw was the sheriff at that one town (the one taken over by the escaped convicts, cant think of the name) after saving him he was in the casino and he looked like he was constantly jumping but his head was up against the ceiling about 10 feet up in the air.

Not sure if this is a glitch or not but when I killed the Nighkin at Novac I went to the farmer to tell him what was killing his herd but the only option I could select was saying I didnt find anything out. Even though I killed the invisable nighkin on the road a distance away after chasing him off. But that might not be a glitch it might it might have been me doing something different than should have such as being perched up on the rock taking pot shots at him from a distance.

Other than that I think the game performed flawlessly for me.

I dont see why its taking him 9 hours to install on the PC with the disc. I got mine and started the install and it was done in under 60 mins. Started off saying 50 mins but I passed the time on the forums so it probably installed quickly and I didnt notice.

But I am wondering if the install bar is moving if there even is one. It shouldnt take 9 hours to install it is probably frozen is what I think. Ive had that happen before and the CD rom just keeps spinning like its doing something but its not.

Still think it's great though.

Well in an earlier thread I said I wasn't going to buy the game yet, but of coarse I caved in, and bought the darn thing lol. So far not a single bug, or crash. I'm starting to really like the game actually. The only thing I have had to deal with is stuttering, but I'm used to that. :fallout:

Almost Perfect Performance (runs like a dream)

Xbox 360 (slim, elite, something)

My game froze once in the begining. At the part when that screen pops up and asks if I want to edit my character. Other then that it's been smooth.

No real big issues. Noticed some framerate issues that I never had in Fallout 3, and I have a pretty damn beefy machine to run this thing on.

Also, sometimes the GUI gets messed up while playing caravan.

Other than that, smooth sailing.

I can play the game, but every so often (probably around every 10 minutes) I get a serious drop in my FPS for the next five where everything goes soo slowly. I can hardly do anything when this happens. Also, I've experienced some enemy body-glitches that have been kind of annoying as I need to kill the enemy (giant radscorpion) so I feel safe.

PC problems

I am having some MAJOR crashes, and the game is not saving when I travel, enter or exit a building, or even when I save it manually!
after playing the game for about an hour or so the game just crashes with out warning.

The only issues I'd had so far is a couple scorpions under the world (this happened in FO3 as well, so it's expected) and a bit more annoying is my gun disappearing from the screen in first person view, it's easily fixable though by just switching to third then back to first person view, but it is annoying.

The most annoying glitch by far is when I bring up my pipboy and I only see the top 1/3 of it, or it doesn't appear at all. The screen blurs like it does when you open the PB and I can hear the sounds of moving through menu's but the PB itself isn't on screen.

Playing on 360....every now and then the game freezes for a half a second, its quick but still noticeable when it happens. Out side of these pauses every so often the FPS have been very stable.

I have noticed scorpians with their butts in the air and their head glitched through the ground. Only saw this once. Out side of that smooth sailing. Played 5 hours straight with no crashing/lockups.

Interestingly enough, my friend finally got to play his copy also on 360....within the first 30 minutes his game locked up while he was in VATS and he had to reboot the Xbox.

At first I listed minor issues, but it is getting worse the farther I go. I have about 20 hours in and I'd say 3 of them are waiting for load screens and general locked up conditions. The compass is also showing locations (people) that don't exist. It is really starting to hamper enjoyment of the game. Tough to navigate when you don't trust the compass and map.

Frame rate drops when walking along. And I have gotten hung up in a couple doorways and on a pile of rocks.
This one for me is no where near as buggy a FO3, so far. I have about 12 hours in,

I'm happy and relieved to report I've had a flawless game on the PC after about 20 hours of gameplay. I updated my nvidia drivers after hearing of some issues with that and so far I've got no stuttering or framerate drops or CTDs. (I probably shouldn't say that too loud.)
