wheat! (hardest ingrediants to find?)

Post » Thu Jun 07, 2012 10:13 am

hello fellow alchemists!

thats it!

i've took all the wheat from most of the farms i know on skyrim and not one single wheat stack has respawned! haha
i took a stack of wheat way back in the beginning of the game and still to this day, it has not respawned.
does wheat respawn
and does anyone know where i can get more wheat!?

finally, what do you think is the hardest ingrediant to find?
i think that canis root is the hardest ingrediant to find since it looks like any other normal bush in the wild and i've only ever found 2 canis roots ever :(
what about you guys? :twirl:

daedra heart is somewhat hard to find along with human hearts...
This is especially annoying if you know how to make daedra hearts out of human hearts.

again, thats quite easy to find. go to meherunes dagon's temple. two dremoras are outside guarding the entrance and two more are inside, then on azura's stars quest, go inside the star to fight that bloke then there are like 4 dremoras in there with him

just go back to the temple every week and the treasure inside refreshes too

this is good if you have time but not good if you want to create mass daedric armour etc.

i wish there were more dremoras around skyrim :(

I WISH THERE WAS A DREMORA CLASS! D:

NEVER head of powdered mammoth tusk o_o

we need a new patch allowing us to find these items more often and giving us abilities to create ingrediants from misc items i.e. mortar and pestel to creat powedered mammoth tusk etc

There's a common bug that stops the Dremora from respawning though. Only ever respawned once for me. The loot still respawns. If you need Deadra heart the easiest way (if you're rich) is to buy them from the alchemist in the thieves guild. You have to do some TG missions to get him there, but he has had as much as 4 Daedra heart in his inventory, and he tends to get at least one every second day. Babette might have one or two as well, but usually when I check, she doesn't. :(

As for wheat, it's quite easy to find. I've never even taken any from the farms, there's usually a bunch in various barrels at the College of Winderhold, and you'll get quite a bit robbing the alchemy stores around skyrim as well.

hm, dremora keep respawning whenever i go :S your probably right about the whole glitch thing though for some people.

thanks for the tip! i'll keep my eye out in the college of winterhold sometime ;)
never expected to find wheat in a barrel though, i always find cabbage :wallbash:

as i said daedra hearts is hard to find period. Ive done all the daedric quests and that alone did not give me enough to smith the armor and weapons. ofcurse buying would be easy but 1. they cost (not a problem though) 2. not many hearts being sold and takes time to respawn
3. The simple lack of dremoras in skyrim makes it hard to get those damn hearts. waiting for those [censored] heads to respawn would be a pain in the ass, but a good resource since i did not know about them respawning.

Pearls.
Wisp wrappings and beehive husks as they do not respawn.

Wheat is easy to find on farms.
The way to get them to respawn is simply to stay away from the cell long enough.
Sometimes you also find wheat in barrels.

Daedra hearts are very easy as the College vendor has a respawning supply.

Powdered Mammoth tusk is a rare drop from killed Mages.
Any Pearls I have found have been taken off of a table, and I agree they should have been a reward for swimming and harvesting clams.
Deadra Hearts are not hard to find, once you know where to look for them (if they are respawning properly or available from Enthir).
I had the hardest time finding Giant Lichens, but at least they have continued to respawn.
Human Hearts and Flesh are found on or near Falmer, Forsworn, and killed Mages (mostly Necromancers). They should be made a common drop for a Namira worshipper.
Wisp Wrappings can be difficult to get, there are only a handful of Wisp Mothers. I have gotten more of this ingredient from looting dead Falmer than from Wisp Mothers.
EDITed after I found the thread moved to Cheats, Hints, and Spoilers.

Actually... on this one.. once you know what you're looking for, there's quite a few of them located around Morthal. I used to have this issue as well until one day while standing around listening to the residents complain yet again about the wizard in town, I was just looking around on the ground and found one. They look kind of like lilly pads on the ground almost the same color as the surrounding "dirt".

Spending perk points in Speech make pearls and powdered mammoth tusk appear for sale from alchemists. Otherwise they are rare random drops, and cannot be harvested from anything, iirc.

Out of ingredients I use, eye of sabre cat is an ingredient I always have the least of when potion making. I haven't found any of the really rare ingredients to be necessary for making anything good.

I usually gather a few while travelling through that area now, but I had a hard time finding them to begin with, because they do look like a different dirt texture. I was surprised that Jasby Graqes did not make this when I first posted.

In two play throughs I have found 8 wheats (each play through) in two barrels at Falkreath Watchtower. Otherwise, I find them in Alchemy shops, especially in Whiterun.

Human flesh respawns in Alftand. At about 200 hours of play on this character I have found six pearls and small pearls and over 30 daedra hearts (mostly from Alchemy shops). I have only found two powdered mammoth tusks.

The rule is: If you're looking for it, it'll disappear from the game  . One this second character, I'd buy "rare" ingredients from the shops beginning at level 1 if I had the cash.

Spiky Grass grows along the Coastline regions.
Cure Disease Potions can be found on Vigilants of Stendar(sp?), The Silver Hand drops them during the Companions Questline, and also drop the ingredients to make your own. Vigilants of Stendar will also cure your character for free if you can not find one of the Shrines

You don't need cure disease potions. Just go to Solitude and shoot down a few hawks and gather the feathers. Eating their feathers will cure disease (first effect) without even having to make a potion. Plus they weigh almost nothing compared to cure disease potions that are a pound for two of them.
