Which house is your favourite?

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 2:36 am

I think, all houses in Skyrim are charming. If I really have to choose one favourite, I'd pick Honeyside in Riften.
Its location is great: close to the entrance and the smithery. And you have two entrances, great!
It's so cosy with all the wood.
It has relatively enough storage room.

I love Hjerim in Windhelm
Spoiler
because it was the house where the killer operated in the Blood on the ice quest. You can even choose to pay 500 to clean up the murderer's mess.
:-) Great! And it's really cosy too (after you've cleaned up). I really love the space, the hidden room and the armory. Actually it's really hard to choose between Honeyside and Hjerim, as Hjerim is just as cosy as Honeyside but the location is less practical.

I like Proudspire manor in Solitude because it's huge and has a lot of storage room, it's fairly close to the Blue Palace. There are plenty of bookshelves, which is nice.

I like Vlindrel Hall in Markarth because it has the most storage room. It's location is a little bit less interesting. I think it's especially great for a dark character who enters the Thieves Guilt and the Dark Brotherhood. There's a lot of room for books there.

I like Breezehome in Whiterun as it was my first home so it's nostalgic. I really like the fact that it's close to the entrance and the smithery and that there actually is a chest in the alchemy room to put all your ingredients in. I wonder why they haven't thought of that when creating the other houses.

What's your favourite Skyrim house and why?

Vindrell Hall (awesome view and feels like a hideout/safe-house inside a bustling city, perfect for an assassin), Hjerim (I love Windhelm!), Breezehome (very cosy and not overly fancy, also very practical).

So far, I only have Breezehome and Vlindrel Hall

I'd go with Breezehome, as Whiterun is centrally located and Breezehome is close to the entrance and surrounded by shops on both sides.

Vlindrel Hall is prettier and has more in it, but I go with Breezehome out of practicality.

I think Skyrim's houses are worse than the ones in Oblivion, but my favorites would be... Breezehome and Hjerim.

Vlindrel's nice. Lots of storage and pretty interiors. If looking for a small house, I'd say Honeyside.

On the basis of just the house alone, it'd have to be Proudspire Manor. I'd live there but I wanted something slightly more centrally located in a town that has a bit more resources.

Vindrell Hall in Markath. That is way the coolest and is easy enough to get to through fast travel. That is my marital home. I have Aela the Huntress as my wife. Occasionally I make her my follower and get her to dress up in forsworn armor as it looks more revealing. The thane there has gone off to the blades so I don't have him hanging around my woman when I'm away.

Second is Breezehome which I use solely for weapon, armor and jewellery making as I for store smithing materials and expensive gems in the cupboard just inside

Vlindrel Hall. I like the storage, space and arcitecture. None of the char's I'm play own it right now, but my mage will.

Honeyside would be 2nd choice, though the storage wasn't really well thought out. My Thief loves to take a swim in the morning's.

Which house is your favourite?
The Sixth House.

Seriously though, I have only bought and seen one house, the Whiterun one, so that one is so far my favourite.

Breezehome, second Honeyside.

Honeyside has everything, enchant table and alchmy lab, with a sea view and a path directly connect to the outsdie of the city. Problme is Riften is always grey, and it's location is not very central.

So at the end, Breezehome it is, enchanting will have to be done at the palace.

Honeyside is my favorite, barring the modded house I now use. Cavern Isles blows away all of the Bethesda houses. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=11411

Never had a home in Solitude or Markarth, but from the homes I have owned I would choose Breezehome out of sheer practicality.

It's a shame we can't pick and choose things.I love the house in Riften inside and out(the porch and lake) but there is no smelter.I love the town of Whiterun and the house is cute enough but no enchanting. The house in Markarth is really nice but a little dark and I hate the town.

Proudspire as a house, but Breezehome for location convenience. Funny to think that in some respects you could say Bethesda have reproduced real life spot on; often the best houses aren't located in the best places.

Honeyside would be 2nd choice, though the storage wasn't really well thought out. My Thief loves to take a swim in the morning's.

My first character bought all the houses but currently lives in Markarth, especially for the storage space. I even drew a map planning out where I would put my smithing material, gems and jewelry, scrolls, armour, weapons, clothes, food, ingredients, potions, etc. But occasionally I move. It's fun.

My second character only bought honeyside. It's very practical for the thieves guilt questline to have a house in Riften and I think it's so cosy. I went out and made sure I got Volsung too for my morning swim in the lake behind the porch.

Have to go with Breezehome. The only thing it lacks is an enchanting table and that is modded in.

Why are smelters so rare in the cities?
