Im not. The extra stuff that comes with special editions just ends up collecting dust and decreasing in value.

Hell yes I am, I unfortunately wasn't able to get the collector's edition for Fallout 3 but now since this year I've been working I've accumulated more than enough money to get the collector's edition for New Vegas this time around, plus the contents looking freaking sweet!

Pre-ordered mine when it was first available a few weeks back in the UK.

I'm thinking about trading in my PSP for it.

Not sure though, I'm basing it solely on the sweet deck of cards.

Tell me again why the Collector's Edition doesn't include all the pre-order exclusives? Recent Collectors/Limited Editions came/will come with some form of exclusive digital content.

Still getting collector's edition though, because I'm a svcker for Fallout.

Yup, I'm buying it as soon as it's on the shelves. In Quebec, you don't really have to pre-order games, because the hype is never as strong as in the USA, for example.
So, I can be sure there'll be a copy of the collector's edition on the shelves on release day. Heck, Starcraft 2's Collector's Edition is still on the shelves of a Future Shop store close to my house. Since the release.

It'll be the third game I buy a CE for. I was satisfied with Morrowind's, hated Oblivion's, but I'm sure New Vegas will not disappoint. It does have a lot of nice things to go with it.

Why do you guys shell out extra money for this stuff? The game itself is plenty. Oh well, I guess it all comes down to how much you're willing to pay for what. My brother actually lines up the order that he buys his games in on Amazon so he can get $30-40 with combined $10-20 purchase bonuses.

Am I an idiot? Why do people pre order? When I went to EB they asked me if I wanted to pre order FNV. I asked why, so they said I can have a copy. I told them, there will be plenty of copies. I said if you don't have it, then Future Shop will have it, if not then I can go to Wallmart. I have never ever seen a game sold out of game day. It's not like they will only have 10 copies of it. Not like what Sony and Microsoft do and give only 5 or 10 copies of the consoles and then say they sold out all their consoles on release day.

So no pre order for me. I also don't know what is in the collectors edtion. Oblivions svcked, so I will not buy another collectors edtion from Bethesda again.

I'm not sure yet, if I can manage to scrounge up enough extra money after buying all the games i want i'll probably shell out the extra cash for the collectors edition.

I've already pre-ordered and fully paid off the Collector's Edition.

I was just gonna get the standard game at first, but seeing as I'm only planning on buying New Vegas & COD: Black Ops over the next few months - why not get the most I can out of them?

I am! I just hope that they don't screw it up like on Fallout 3. But the thing I'm looking forward to most is the poker chips. (I love card games) :celebration:
