who is ready for another hundred hours of our life getting t

Post » Fri Dec 10, 2010 11:50 pm

Seeing as I managed to burn through 150 hours in less than 3 months with Fo3, I will indeed be willing to once again feel like my life is accomplished by playing what I believe will be the best game in years!

Im not ready at all actually :(
I have this thing, when i get a new game, i get really addicted because i want to play it. I ignore my friends, homework and my job.
Which is svcks bad.
The feeling disappears when i finish the game, and ive collected a lot of things.

So yeah, im not ready for new vegas.
I think I'll wait a month or two before getting the game..
just to have more time for my exams and my new job.

The deep exploration part of F3 really grabbed me.
I felt like I had to explore every single inch of the map in case something was hidden..
and you didnt know what was lurking behind each corner.

Same. Even small things, like a raider hut or trash or even a cola quantum were fun to see in the empty wasteland.

The sheer scale of the game was what kept me putting the hours in.
not so much the "role play".. but the crazy depth of the interiors with countless levels..
the exploring and looting..

It's already 'taking my life away'. My friends could just strangle me for talking about how excited I am all the time so in a way those hundreds of hours I will put in it are already counting. Lord knows they'll be ready to shoot me once the game is out because I'll be jumping up and down at my internship like a crazy monkey on speed. Not to mention my dad who I'll probably be bothering with phonecalls to ask if they already called for me to pick up my collectors edition. I just know they'll will have to do without me for a long long while. Thank god we have a week vacation three days after that. After playing too much FO:3 I kept seeing VATS numbers on people's limbs until I finally realised that maybe I was putting a tad too much time in the game. Who knows what will happen this time. I'm just happy that we don't have gecko's in my country. :gun:

I've been playing Fallout 3 a little after it came out, I'm pretty sure '100 hours' of my life is a laughably small amount. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

FO3 I played though about 8-10 times so I would guess I played it 1000+ hours (Although I wish I didn't now since its too boring to play until New Vegas) So New Vegas will last me a long time

I am completely ready for this, luckily the game releases before I have a week off school, meaning that I'll be playing the game religously for a few weeks, probably even a month or two...

100 hours? I went through two playthroughs and neither took more than 35-40 hours.

I'm not off for work but I am off for school on it's release date. I'm thinking about calling in Tuesday night. :flamethrower:

Than you really must not have seen all there is to see, or done all there is to do.

It's meant to be played for it's replayability. (Just like how multiplayer games are meant to be played over and over again on the same maps)
You should really try more than two playthrougs in New Vegas and try more than just evil and good.

I am scheduled to have surgery on my shoulder on Oct. 25th after which time I'll be off work until after Xmas at least. New Vegas couldn't have dropped at a better time.

Just as well I'm unemployed. If I wasn't I'd have to quit work to play. When playing FO3 once I played all night and rang up work sick the next morning while still playing. They'd neer understand.

You lucky son of a [censored]! (Not the surgery of course but the time off.) I'm going to take off Tuesday I guess, trying to think up an excuse since my boss always asks tons of questions when I take a personal day. And then clear out about 2-3 months of weekends.
