One of the best humans, never mind scientists.

I have to choose?
Those two awesome scientist people from those old beer commercials. BRILLIANT!

That or Tesla... definitely Tesla.

Tesla for sure, and I have a lot of respect for Jonas Salk for creating the polio vaccine.
He then did one of the most decent things I have ever heard of, he gave it away. As he said when asked about the patent, "There is no patent. Could you patent the sun?"

Though I appreciate what that other guy has done, I think I have to go with this silly guy who likes sticking his tongue out. You might have heard of him, the father of modern physics...Einstein?

Fritz Haber. He symbolizes both the good and bad that chemistry can bring.

+1 for Jonas Salk. Smart people really should be smart enough to be nice, if you ask me. Giving the world the polio vaccine was a nice thing to do. I'd say he has to be my all-time favourite.

Einstein and Boltzmann were visionary. Boltzmann was ahead of his time - Einstein SHOULD have been ahead of his time, but suddenly everything was moving so quickly anyway :)

The scientist I read most of (in my free time, at least) is Sean Carroll. Apart from doing interesting theoretical work (cosmology, time) he's a great science communicator, e.g. this fascinating blog that he writes (with some other people):

I've already said Tesla, but that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Cox_%28physicist%29 guy that does the http://www.guardian.co.uk/tv-and-radio/2012/jan/15/television is quite cool and makes science sound more interesting. :)

My seven year old daughter! She goes out and explores, observes, draws/makes notes and puts the pieces together. Sometimes she'll run simple experiments....like "how long does it take for stuff to turn into soil" or paper chromatogrpahy even though she never heard of it.

She's not going to have any boyfriends lol
