Why another Year!

Post » Sat Oct 24, 2009 11:13 am

I was so happy when they announced TES:V (11.11.11 will be the best day ever to come)

But why another year, its already been long enough!

Lol, I already think this game won GOTY for next year.

I'd rather them take their time and make a quality game then rush it and it be garbage.

It's the shortest time between announcement and release for Beth so I'm pretty happy.

Cause games don't spring fully formed and ready to ship from the designer's brains?

Would you rather have quality, or a rushed game?

I mean, look at Medal of Honor 2010 as an example.

I mean, if you think this is bad, look at Valve. Or Blizzard. The fact is, more time usually means better quality.

That would be about, what, three years of development?

That's perfect. I really don't think they need much more considering the team is bigger than Oblivion's.

True.
It just seems like they should already have the game done since all the game series now adays come out every year/2years

Yeah, but like my edited post says, the more time for development is always better. Thats why Valve and Blizzard excel in the industry. There's always better quality with more time to develop. Also, keep in mind--BUG squashing. ;)

Besides, this dev team has had a few years to develop thus far, and have a larger team, as FalloutFTW said. So it will be worth it.

Two words: hype train. And, of course, polishing, testing, bug-fixing - the whole shabam.

you do realize that games take time to make, developers don't just chose a date and the game materializes, thats like asking why you can't do 40hours worth of work in 2

that would be amazing though... Hmm I think I'll have a sandwich but I don't want to work in real world time I think it will only take me 2 seconds to make this sandwich, yes 2 sounds fine.

anyway I dont mind the wait at least they finally announced it I was getting sick of thinking Oblivion might be the end of TES... what a crap ending that would have been.

Gosh, I didn't think we'd get it until 2012, and that's at best, after they created FO3.
So be happy, man!
Be very [censored] happy. :D

Yeah, I think I recall them announcing that it won't be released till 2012 a few years ago.

gamesas wanted to release Morrowind in late 2001 and Oblivion in late 2005, but both games got pushed up into the next year. I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing happens here :P

Seriously, in fact I'm banking on them pushing it back to a March 2012 release. Just wait.

Because quality games require quality time. and they have such a perfect date, I think this one is a bit more planned out.
